I know right. I swear I've always loved books where the female characters were bad as#es! I grew up reading this specific series about a teenage girl who was a martial arts fighter living in NYC. Sun-Mars aspects really allow you to connect to the fight within. I grew up reading really violent books too about murderers and paranormal stuff. And then I'm obsessed with the James Bonds films. Because I'm all about warrior men but ones that take care of themselves and dress dashingly. That might be my Libra Sun talking. I've always looked up to people who didn't take crap from anyone. Lara Croft esque... I can be tough, but I never want to hurt anyone. I've got the opposition, and so I can't swing heavy either way. I've always got to find a balanced expression for my Sun-Mars energy. IP: Logged |

LOL!! To borrow a quote from Orwell: There are three kinds of people in this world; those in power (men), those who want to be in power (women), & those who want everything to be 50/50 (liars). IP: Logged |

My sister and I both have Sun-Mars conjunctions. Hers with an orb slightly over 8', mine with 5'. So mine is combust, hers is under the beams. She is far more Martial than I am in nature, although she is a far cry from being a tomboy. She's not interested in martial arts or weapons or any traditional Martial activities. However, she's always been physically active, is a proactive person, and extremely assertive - almost aggressive. The square would make the native more consciously active in integrating the Mars energy into their self-identity by taking up Martial interests. I might be posting in a dead thread but I find it very relevant.Everyone seemed to be arguing over feminism, femininity and masculinity. I’ll try to give my opinion in the most unbiased way I can. I think the Sun-Mars square gives the woman a dominant streak, meaning she can be either feminine or masculine but one thing is definite – she rejects the submission usually associated with femininity and women. Because of world we live in and the tension of the square this could fill the woman with anger and resentment about being oppressed (be it real or imagined). I find this especially true, if the planets are in fixed or cardinal signs (especially if Leo is involved). I have a Sun-Mars square (Scorpio-Leo) and when I was younger I did go through an irrational rebellion concerning gender issues. I still feel very strongly about them but I don’t allow myself to get as enraged as I did a few years ago. I also have Moon square Mars and Venus square Mars.

What Meyray said I think all the squares between two planets, one of them »masculine« and other »feminine« would result in resentment, confusion about gender roles and perhaps a trouble to reconcile oneself to the socially conditioned roles. Also sun square moon (which I happen to have) and we mustn't forget the rebellious uranus. I have Libra sun trine gemini marsI am a proud feminist, don't care for general misconceptions about the movement, because I happen to have read something about it although I would never favour a person due to its gender, I preferably choose an overlooked woman e.g. to write a paper on. I always looked up to strong, independent women, intellectuals. I've cut my hair short half a year ago, before I've always had them long, and I never felt or looked that good. I get compliments all the time, because of this touch of androgynous, they say it emphasises my femininity, paradoxical I know I never dressed girly, actually I find that type of girls silly, wouldn't use make up if I didn't have bad skin (or just venus in virgo self-consciousness ) and feel most comfortable in masculine shoes. And I feel most sexy when dressed in androgynous clothes. But then again I have a prominent uranus and aquarius rising.
