Erm, okay, only coz you insisted!  Dunno, my Asc is afflicted and my appearance is kind of a big deal because I have been frequently criticized about it.  So I deleted my pics shortly after posting them. But I am working towards more self-acceptance 'n' stuff, so here I am.  IP: Logged |

WHAT?! By whom? Do you hang around with people who are nuts? There's nothing wrong with your appearance, you're quite pretty in fact! I wish I had the ability to look that feminine with MINIMAL makeup!

Aww, thank you! Surprisingly, by strangers on the street yelling all sorts of nasty things to me. I've had that happen a lot of times. I never understood it myself because I am pretty sure I was minding my own business and not upset them in any way, but...

Not to be culturally insensitive, but do you live in Eastern Europe? My best friend was born in Bucharest Romania and just emigrated here 7 years ago and she told me that she used to witness this type of behaviour from the men back home quite often, which is why eating disorders and high fashion are so common among the women in Eastern Europe. If a man did that here he might have a lawsuit on his hands .

Erm, that's precisely where I live!  Say hi to your friend from me hehe, glad she is in a better place! Yes, it was pretty common back then, I never understood the logic though. OMG, Faith!!! You kill me!! I want a baby! LOL! Oh, you guys totally melted me up today. Please feel free to post as many baby pics you want! Oh, btw, do you know of that astro babies collection? Sooooooo adorable cuties, OMG!!! Lol, no, they were not trying to flirt. Well, okay, maybe some were, but the rest were just nasty because they didn't like my face or my nose or what the hell I was wearing and thought it was alright to yell that on the street. I always thought it was because of my MC Sabian (Hunters shooting wild ducks), because not every girl had to go through that and it's exactly how I felt (defenseless shooting target).
Fortunately, I've outgrown psychologically most of that stuff. It has made me one tough cookie not to be messed with lol. IP: Logged |

^ Interesting about the sabian symbol. Maybe you will just become a good hunter someday. Well let me say I am GLAD I don't live there because I would not tolerate any criticism well at all. And what is it, the men and women evolved differently, so the women have the heart to NOT offend strangers? I didn't know about the astro babies, where's that?! I love looking at babies too (right now mine are telling me to get off the computer and fix their train tracks...gotta go soon!) My children are one quarter Slovakian, my father-in-law was born in Prague. So they have an Eastern European look, a tiny bit...

Hmmm, now that you mentioned it, yes, a little bit! Yeahh!!
It's a bit more complicated than that. Has to do with years of opression in comunist countries. People were living in fear for many years and there were periods of lack of food. I actually remember a street fight in front of a store for meat, bread, milk etc. People were waiting for stores to open for 10-15 hours, or more. The men lashed out more frequently because the women were educated not to, it was not proper behaviour. In fact, domestic violence was/in some cases still is, quite common. Against women and children. I didn't live to see much of the comunist era, but what I do remember, I could never forget. IP: Logged |
