Nine times out of ten he'll ask me a question, and I don't answer, not out of rudeness, but just because it does not register into my brains that this guy talks to me - EVER.
My sister/cousin (no, we're not inbred LOL, we're just really close for cousins) is also married to a Cap Sun conjunct Venus, with Merc also in Cap. Sometimes he'll ask me questions just to lighten awkward moments, but he doesn't really contribute a bunch.
But I will say with all of these people, THEY ARE HILARIOUS!! When they want to be. And they don't come with a laugh track. I mean, unless you're really paying attention, you can't always tell they're joking, and they RARELY laugh at their own jokes. At least the people I know with this placement don't.

Haha as a Capricorn mercury I strongly identify with all you said its crazy, there is an extremely cute redhead who I work with who seems really sweet, and I have gotten the feeling that she wants me to talk to her, but I haven't until today out of shyness, I spoke to her and asked how are you doing? And she kind of looked shocked and said are you talking to me? Haha as you said it didn't register that I could possible be talking to her. I know I appear to be an a** at times, she will smile at me and I wont smile back, its like I'm socially retarded at times.

Yeah, I think Capricornesque comm style can be intimidating with its seriousness in our possibly abnormally upbeat society. Sometimes I'll just be going around beaming like a buffoon about anything and everything "Hey, my coffee tasted sooooo good today, YAYYYYYYYY!! Kitties and Puppies and Rainbows, YAAAAAYYYYYY!!
