If we choose someone without the assistance of Astrology, then liking someone older or younger is pretty much subjective and how available a person is to seeing him/her each day. I would imagine that there must be some sort of sex appeal for sexually charged individuals. In other cases, like at work, the stimulation may come from working with people where there is a slow mental attraction forming.If we are speaking about liking older or younger people base solely on Synastry Astrology, then the influence is different. We are looking at aspects as the determining factor. All Astrology aspects are formed in time cycles. Your Mars can not be conjucnt, sextile, square, trine and, opposition another person's Venus at the same time. It can only be one of those aspects at any given time. This is the result of timing. Therefore, Astrologically speaking, it is very possible to be very compatible to someone quite a bit younger or older than you. And this is more common than most Astrology buffs realize. There are rare times when some individual may have his/her natal aspects aligned well enough to be very compatible with people in the same age bracket. This individual is the person that almost everybody his/her own age likes. But, this could also be a false indicator. It could be that the current transiting planets are hitting this person really well. Where 10 years from now, that popularity is all gone. This becomes most evident when we are in high school and then we go to the 10 year reunion and see that person of the time in a not so admiring light.

Definately older. When someone is my age or younger, a few points is deducted in the invisible scoreboard above his head.  i dun casual date. I need someone who is going to belong in my future longer. My experience is younger or sane age guys do not commit readily, not responsible enough, not emotionally matured enough... i m bad at babysitting, i prefer to b in a relationship thn hving to be a mother to a guy... well, at least that was my experiences. I don't date, but hypothetically, I could never see myself with someone younger. Even a few months/a year younger would feel odd. I wouldn't want to be with someone too much older, though. Nothing extreme. 10-15 years is probably the highest that I'd go, most likely. For me to go higher (and even then, I still wouldn't go much higher), the person would have to be exceptional and someone that I could see myself marrying, which would be highly unlikely. Older can often mean more security, stability, money, things planned out, people knowing who they are and being more comfortable with themselves, life experience, maturity, sensitivity, taste, cultured-ness, etc. Some older people might not want kids (which for me is a huge plus being childfree), as they've already lived their lives without them and are used to that. However, on the other hand, some might already have kids or else might still want them even if they're older. On that note, I would caution people against going out with someone older and assuming that the way that I described an older partner is the case in all instances; some older people are just as immature and the complete opposite of what I just posted. All in all, I'd say that it's best to go with someone that's a good match for you, and not to worry about age so much, unless it's like a really big extreme that causes problems in your relationship to the point that you no longer can be with the person (and, obviously, if you go for someone younger, you shouldn't take advantage of their youth or inexperience, and they should be of legal age). In my case, it is a big problem. I wanted man with almost the same age, as I was, but there was nobody.The same age was only one man, when I was 23 years old. All years later they were younger and younger and when I met them first time, they were (90%) 27 years old (maybe because my day of birth is 27th and my Venus at 27 degrees). My acupuncture doctor was 18 years younger. When I came first time for therapy he told me: it is Destiny that you came to me! I should read the book: "Celestine Prophecy" and I did. He was very friendly and we have talked and talked, like we knew each other for many years. He wasn't that, what is called love at first sight, otherwise I couldn't lie there almost naked (acupuncture for whole body). I had some feelings for him after my therapy was finished. I was reading from his Palm; we talked a lot about Astrology and the life on the East (China and India). In my Head was some "Click": how come this man doesn't see my age? There were many of my diagnoses in front of his eyes, but he didn't care about my papers. I did. To finish some friendship or relationship for me was very easy: nobody lived in the same city and almost all lived in other countries. To write on the paper (letter or mail) is much easier than to tell: direct is difficult (somebody could kill me). I had enough from one man who was screaming over phone, like a fool. Mercury conjunct my DESC and has trine with Mars, ruler of my 7th. Mercury rules my 9th: they are foreigners, almost all.

I usually date people who are around the same age as me. The youngest I've dated was 2 1/2 years younger. Oldest I've dated was 1 year older. I'm not really attracted to "old" guys. The oldest person I'll date is ~30. I'm 24. I'm not into the idea of dating older guys. While I wouldn't necessarily date a guy who was like 19 (too emotionally immature), I like a guy who gives off an "air" of youth.I have DSC in Sag, Jupiter in Aries in the 11th with a mutual reception trine to Mars in Sag in the 6th. I see, what is important to like older men: to have some planet in Capricorn (Moon or Venus), as also Capricorn on the top of 7th.I have only Pholus in Capricorn (4th) in trine with Venus (8th) and Fortuna in 12th. Beside that my Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) makes square to my ASC. Somebody has explained to me about Pholus trine Venus, but I have lost it, ------------------
