The truth is that no transit would NECESSARILY trigger the desire for marriage.

A transit would trigger the examination of relationship needs (as Saturn in 7th house indicates) and if the person is in a serious relationship and really wants it to work, then and only then the desire for marriage could be triggered.

I think what will be triggered is a decision-point. It might be a make-or-break-point for any relationship, and thus could lead into marriage or into a break-up.

this make-or-break-point would most likely occur when there are exact (within one degree orb) transits to pr Saturn or pr DESC.
transits of outer planets may be experienced intensely, but since they last so long do not serve as a good timer. so I think the timing will be indicated by transits of personal planets, first of all the Tr Sun.
Strongest transits would be conjunction, opposition and then the square.I donīt believe trines or sextiles can trigger anything as there is too little activity with them, though they can make you feel quite good about something.

another thing to remember is with Saturn in the 7th house,t hat this Saturn might be projected on a partner, so it could be a partner who will ask for a decision that might activate a serious evaluation of the relationship and thehir relationship needs in general in the individual.

THANK YOU, Ceri!!!

For putting in the time to give such complete and comprehensive information!! I understand the finer point of the Asc./Dsc. axis also moving and this being the reason for the chart grid to say Applying.

Everything you say about Saturn makes complete sense and I'm glad you're telling it like it is.

K, I don't want to get all mushy and stuff, but I do want to say this much--I'm so glad you're one of the people I'm learning astrology from on this board!!

And for purely selfish reasons, I hope you stay on this board for a long, long time!!

The progressed moon is one of the best "timers" in astrology.
