Whether you have venus retrograde natally or know someone who does, do you find this placement to affect the way you express love and affection and to make it somehow more difficult to simply accept that other people love you ? How does venus retrograde manifest for you ? IP: Logged |

I actually seldom tell people I love that I do either. I do tell my cat and younger siblings that I love them and show it to them through hugs and kisses. But it gets really difficult when it comes to adults. I even have a hard time just hugging my own mother and telling her that I love her, even when I actually do something nice for her (like get her a gift) I'll just shrug it off and pretend like it's nothing and I don't want any display of emotion...Oh, and of course it gets worse with other people. Venus is retrograde in aquarius in the 7th house in y chart. I've been wondering if somehow it was the reason behind this. IP: Logged |

I have a loved one with Venus Rx in Scorpio. They have a terrible time letting go emotionally. Always force themselves not to cry. Their version of crying is thick, intensive gulping with barely any tears coming out (compared to how I can put on waterworks if I'm in the right mood it's a stark and almost confusing difference to me...). I feel this has something to do with their Venus Rx. They also can flip a switch with their ability to be affectionate. Sometimes they're extremely overtly protective and a little gushy, but if they feel emotionally slighted even just in their head they become totally cold. She's also not the type to say 'I love you so much' or even 'Love you bye' after hanging up with a loved one. She only says it to me, which is rare for her, since according to others I'm her 'favorite'. IP: Logged |

I have Rx Venus in Scorpio in the Third. My reactions are also very muted! People always jump out at me and they get nothing. Why? Because I always used to stifle stuff like that growing up and because of always stifling my reactions, they eventually became dull, I guess. I'm not swept away by pity or passion and despite being excitable and what not I think I'm pretty stoic lol! I also have Moon in Capricorn, so both feminine planets are in detriment. Hmm...never noticed that before... IP: Logged |

Interesting... The whole saying "I love you" thing was a skill I actually had to acquire. Now I'm ok with saying it, but when I was younger I couldn't do it for the life of me, except to close family members, and even then it was a struggle. I remember being supremely confused when I had a couple of very close friends say "I love you" to me for the first time. I literally could not say it back to them, so I said the next best thing: "I heart you too." lol. Finally, over time, I got used to it and was able to say it. I also used to stifle crying, but that was more after I was bullied in school and I realized that crying only made it worse, so I learned how to turn off the water works on command. As I got older I realized how detrimental this was to me and now I allow myself to cry. Now, I still have some problems crying in front of other people, but not nearly as bad as I used to. I used to be mortified when I'd cry in front of others... I have Retro 9th house Virgo Venus btw. IP: Logged |

My S.O. has Venus rx aquarius. When he's on, he's on and when he's off, he's off. He can be so mushy and overemotional at times it takes me by surprise sometimes. Usually this will come after him being "distant." I personally think that he is undercover with his emotions.....all the things he would like to unleash emotionally, he holds on to. (Venus rx trine Pluto rx). Underneath that stoic surface is someone who is bubbling with raw emotion...I swear I wouldn't mind but he doesn't seem the type not to lose control of his emotions.IP: Logged |

I have a Sun in Scorpio , Venus retrograde in Scorpio located in the first house along with Uranus. I really have a hard time expressing my feelings at times and I wonder if I am liked or loved by people. I question motives and I always wondered why that is. I am not an expert at astrology, but I am attempting to learn about myself and others. I have a hard time trusting people thus I am not really looking for a relationship until I work on myself and what it is I really want.IP: Logged |

They treat you bad and reject you when you genuinely love them yet they don’t want to let you go. I’ll never get involved with a guy who has this placement again. IP: Logged |
