im very curios about these and bursting with 3rd house excitment to read replies . i don't know if im right but i've noticed with air signs that Aquarius seems to admire the wit and cleverness of gemini and often try to incorperate this into their own character . Libra admires how different and unique aquarius is and tries to incorperate this into their character. Gemini loves how smooth and charming libra is yeah you know the rest . women often seem like their moon sign . late aquarians (feb 1-19) are VERY sensitive and often have pisces placements . people often find the sign in their 5th house hilarious . exp im an aqua rising and i find gemini's and immature humor and anything to do with children VERY funny . house rulerships are VERY underated aquarius risings, moon or strong aquarius placements have raspy voices or very breathy voices very "human" voices . i've also seen that your north node also shows the sign you admire the traits of IF you have that sign energy in your chart . people with strong scorpio placements intentionally seek squares in relationships. aquarius suns will LOVE you if your smart . the placement of your sun can also show how you have fun . aries and cancer are strangley drawn to eachother . capricorn and leo as well . when people describe their personalities they are talking about their moon sign and all the aspects and the house its in . can't think of any now but ... do you have any ?? ooh ooh just thought of another if you have a stellium in gemini in your 7th house you will attract saggitarians and aries like a magnet . if you have a stelluim you will have a profound influence on people . definitely right about the moon sign and how you describe your personality. as a taurus moon i generally think of myself as laidback and easygoing, just simple and uncomplicated, oh and i love to eat. lolIP: Logged |

Nice observations!!Here's mine: 1. SOOO many people end up in semi-sextile Sun relationships.. eg. Gemini/Cancer, Cancer/Leo, Leo/Virgo - etc. I've lost count of the amount of couples I've seen like this. 2. Conjunctions are almost always positive aspects in synastry - unless one of the planets is a malefic and the other is benefic. So when you read an interpretation of a conjunction - that sounds negative... it is more often than not BS. 3. The people whose Suns are square or opposite your own - often seem to have the most respect for you and admiration for your qualities. There can be friction (sometimes envy) - but there is also mutual admiration. I'll think of more...

lovehate and odette - i agree with a lot of what you guys said. not all, but a lot.what i've noticed... there are DEFINITELY family ties in astrology. your parents' charts will have strong ties and similarities to your chart and your siblings'. strong sexual attraction happens when someone's mars is conj. your ASC. capricorns and cancers are often very good friends. venus in scorpio women are passionate but not loyal (i have this placement and have many friends who have it, but the guys who have it are different) capricorn women (i am one, lol) definitely get younger with age. the personality becomes more carefree and adventurous as we get older. sagittarius and virgo rising men are usually good looking. Saturn in the 1st H makes you cynical and cranky like a Cappy. I've got this placement I've noticed how cranky I am constantly, you'd think being a Sag ASC with Leo Sun I'd be more cheerful. I also have Pisces Moon in the 3rd and my immediate environment effects my moods so much. I have bad anxiety being around crowds, in fact large groups of people have always made me uncomfortable - definitely not a typical Leo Sun basking for attention from others. In fact I get attention all the time and I get irritated by it, I give men dirty looks a the time IP: Logged |

Almost every Gemini I have known has hooked up with a Scorpio or a Capricorn. If they didn't marry them, they hooked up, lol. I also notice a lot of semi-sextile relationships too, with Virgo/Libra, Leo/Virgo, Cancer/Gemini, Taurus/Gemini, and for some weird reason Scorpio/Sagittarius. Common Mercury and Venus signs, probably. Damn, I generally agree with everything I've read so far. But I feel like for Gemini/Aquarius, it's the other way around. The Gemini admires the Aquarius. But Geminis are very attracted to Libras. I DO admire my NN sign, on the Sagittarius and Capricorn cusp. I admire both signs best traits, optimism, enterprising skills, confidence, strength, stability, and independence. People with their Sun or Venus in the 1st house are almost ALWAYS attractive. People with Venus/Mars conjunct it can go either way. But they may be a little unfaithful if in an air sign. Yes, I have been touting the Aries-Cancer thing for the longest, but some Aries can see thru Cancers. I think it was Hanna who said this, but the sign after will often carry the less desirable zodiac traits of the previous sign. Ex. Virgo's Leonine Narcissism, Sagittarius' Scorpion vengefulness, etc.. People will resent the signs in the element that is the weakest in their chart, or not understand them. Cancer and Aquarius clash A LOT. I've seen this happen way too many times. IP: Logged |

Then what's the point of a Sun sign quote: aquarius suns will LOVE you if your smart .
Not just Aquarius Sun per se. Aquarius ASC will tend to prefer a smarts over looks. quote: the placement of your sun can also show how you have fun .
Sun in the 8th H. I definitely like sex! quote: aries and cancer are strangley drawn to eachother.
So are Taurus and Leo. ----- Venus in the 7th H also makes one attractive or the partner will find them very attractive. Mars conjunct the IC makes for very independent people. Usually their child hood was rushed in some way - they had to be independent at a early age either because their parents encouraged it or it was necessary in order to survive. Also Mars conjunct IC revere independent and self-sufficient qualities in people far more than an Aries or a Scorpio.

I have mercury, venus, north node and sun i gemini and I am very attracted to libras and aquarius but feel most stimulated by saggitaurius. I met one with 4 planets in saggitaurius and we balance each other very well with all our oppositions, but we can defently argue like thunder... all my relationships was with either libra sun or aquarius sun or moon, but my greatest love is saggitauriusscorpio moons either really like an other scorpio moon or really dont like them, and we spot each other easily, and there is some mutual respect.. saturn in scorpio are the most serious and secretive people and they are protected by some kind of a invinsible wall...
saturn in virgo often has this worry look where their eyebrows are twisted aries moons can always make me laugh when they react on emotions (im a scorpio) people with inconjunct sun and moon, and mars opposed moon or pluto often has personality/psycological problems IP: Logged |

I agree with everything i am a taurus and im very drawn to leos . there are family ties in astrology by looking at the sign on the mothers 5th house you can see the sign of her children . for example . My mother is a taurus rising her 5th house sign is virgo and all 4 of her children have strong virgo or gemini placements. I have a virgo mars and a 3rd house stellium my sister is a gemini rising and has a 3rd house stellium My 5th house is gemini My brother is a gemini with a virgo rising My other brother has a 6th house stellium . Other family ties would be too complicated to go into but my dad is a scorpio with a leo rising and a saggitarius moon . my little brother has a saggitarius moon conjunct pluto . (everytime my mam goes out he always wants to go too he loves to travel) i have moon conjunct jupiter . im pretty sure my brother has some strong neptune because like myself he loves to daydream and play with his imaginary friends . He may be 8 but like my dad he gets really depressed . him and my sister always fight and its the funniest thing ! ok more observations
Gemini/Aquarius, it's the other way around. The Gemini admires the Aquarius. But Geminis are very attracted to Libras. I agree but gemini's always feel us Aquas don't like them , were fixed and we hate when people suddenly change their ideas because they have been swayed especially if they were the foundation of our friendship . I think it was Hanna who said this, but the sign after will often carry the less desirable zodiac traits of the previous sign. Ex. Virgo's Leonine Narcissism, Sagittarius' Scorpion vengefulness, etc.. People will resent the signs in the element that is the weakest in their chart, or not understand them. thats true i have almost no water and i do not understand and i must admit i am a little afraid of those with too much.
Cancer and Aquarius clash A LOT. I've seen this happen way too many times.
don't get me started on cancers . but out of interest what have you observed? IP: Logged |

Cancers and Aquarius clash because they're nearly opposite emotionally. Aquarius is aloof, Cancer isn't. I read in a book somewhere that Cancer feels like Aquarius is messing with their minds a lot and makes 'em feel crazy.IP: Logged |

I noticed that opposite signs tend to draw negative trait from each other. Aquas - arrogant, reminiscing Leos Libras - argumentative, like Aries etc

I'm a water singleton and would have to agree. I have Pluto in Scorpio only. I don't think this applies to friends for me but I'd personally cannot imagine at this time dating a Cancer sun at all or Scorpio sun ever again. I am fond of Pisces though most likely because my NN is there. I have a scorpio ascendant which I'm like "damnit" about but it makes me quiet and people think I'm mysterious bc of it and let's face it - I'm not mysterious at all Let's see if I can contribute. I read Leo's are supposed to be punctual but every Leo I know, myself included ranges from a few minutes late to reallly late.
Oh and I think I'd rather have a compatible moon sign with my own than sun.

What you and Sand said is very true. Sometimes it is due to Merc/Venus being in those previous signs. But yeah I have definitely known some REALLY arrogant Aquarians and Leos who were uncomfortable with their emotions, an Aquarian trait. Also, I think this explains the Leo-Taurus attraction. http://thezodiac.com/solsticepoints.htm Basically, it's a set of points that go: Gemini-Cancer Leo-Taurus Aries-Virgo Libra-Pisces Capricorn-Sagittarius Scorpio-Aquarius It's used in synastry. Love this thread so I thought I should bump it. I'm new to astrology but some things I may or may not have learned is:> Sun conjunct Mercury in the progressed composite often (but obviously not always) mean you have IRL contact with the person in question > Synastry Venus trine/square Uranus really is the aspect of love at first sight/attraction at first sight > Synastry Venus square Moon is probably more beneficial than it seems (I’ve had it in all my relationships so far, there must be something to it, I just can’t figure out exactly what just yet) > Venus Capricorn & Scorpio likes brunettes, Venus Leo go for blondes (generally) > In synastry, I don’t believe Sun conjunct Venus is as romantic as people say it is. I think it’s more of a friendship aspect > Now I’ll offend some Venus in Pisces men, but it seems like a horrible placement for Venus. They crave a fantasy not a woman > Men go for their Mars sign as well, not just Moon/Venus IP: Logged |

Things I've noticed: -Saturn in the 3rd house:grandpa drivers (lol) or very "cautious" drivers. Stoic in communication, so will get quit with heavy emotion. -Aquarius is actually more of a romantic than libra, which I find to actually be more intellectual than Aquarius as well as combative, due to polarity influence of Aries. Libra I feel operates thru trial and error, ever working on itself thru relationships and it's interactions. -Pluto can be similar to Uranus when it comes to being"unique", Pluto is more strikingly bizarre in a darker more dramatic way.. Like think of Bjork, she has tons of Scorpio placements with a strong Neptune and her aesthetics are insanely amazing, her ideas are pretty unique too. I know quit a few artists with heavy Pluto placements and they very much feel "different" and "unique" in a sense that they are so weird it's hard to find others who understand, artwork is very unique, their overall expression is unique and quit brilliant at times. finding themselves to be alone due to how strange they connect with others or what they pick up socially, plutos shocking energy can be pushed away,!Pluto has a hard time conforming, so it's not easily accepted by groups. Sometimes I feel like the controlling intensity of Pluto is emphasized so much, we forget to mention how wickedly freakish Pluto can be when it expresses itself aesthetically ha -axis angles are not limited/focused on just one side (being ASC/MH) the IC and DC are just as much focal points and crucial in the chart as well as when planets are placed angularly. The polarity of the axis's is sort of forgotten sometimes, as well as blending the meaning of the axis, like for example, Taurus ASC would differ from Taurus Suns due to their Scorpio axis, which will make Taurus ASC far more emotional and smoldering as far as intensity goes, and be more secretive, especially in matters of the heart. -to me, aspects/angles are the most important factors in a chart as well as the planets more so than the signs which i see hold another dimension of themes and energies that also tie in, they are all important of course, as a whole <3 -fire signs can be amazing performers/ drawn to performing arts I've noticed. I know SO MANY sag women who absolutely love to model/take photos. They are not a shy bunch and truely ooze confidence in any body they own, it's quit inspiring. Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, ozzy, Karen o the whole yeah yeah yeahs are sag's, Tyra banks, Britney Spears! Christina aguilara, Taylor swift, they all sag's! Ha and Mariah Carey is an Aries and so is lady gags, they both how powerful voices!! Mariah has a Taurus rising and gaga has a Scorpio moon. A sense of "self love" is really picked up on, not all the time of course, I've met some battered Leo's with some serious shaky confidence before. I admire how charismatic fire signs can be in public, as well as the performing aspect, I know so many Leo's, Aries, sag who dance, perform, sing and they do it so well! -signs 150 degrees apart are naturally very drawn to each other, so the two signs next to the opposite sign have a natural affinity for whatever reason? Like I see Libra's drawn to Pisces/Taurus which only seems like a natural combo but deep down can present serious differences. Aries I've seen many times drawn to Virgo/Scorpio, as close friends or relationships. Seen tons of sag/cancer combos etc. -emphasized Venus/libra/Taurus/Pisces or literally that combo, along with Virgo as well has a lot of the time artistic talent. I know several people with the combo of those 4 planets, like libra rising, virgo sun and Taurus moon who is a painter, another who is libra rising, Taurus sun and Pisces moon who is also a painter! And myself who is Taurus rising, libra sun and Virgo moon, I love all art but tend to be more drawn to charcoal/paint and metalsmithing. Virgo/Pisces seem to alternate and they are very engulfed in the arts and show artistic potential/craft , but this is shown more in painting, crafts, etc more so than music which I see more Pisces/Neptune being strongly drawn to music/interpretive arts. Strong Venus placements can indicate artistic talent, as well as charm and beauty. Aaliyah had her Venus exactly conj her angle, along with a strong Neptune and she was a Capricorn, she was known for her "cool" and "laid back" nature and overall kindness along with her beauty and talent. Sometimes I feel like Venus is just given all the credit of beauty/charm which attracts luck when it's also about creating beauty and can be huge markers for talent when emphasized. -solar influence folk are like "Peter pans" and youthful and pale, they literally have a sparkling presences to me. -Jupiter/Neptune and Pisces/Jupiter when very strongly emphasized has a hard time dealing with harsh presentations of reality due to their buoyant and idealistic/optimistic natures. So they avoid it, act like it's not real, or create something better to believe in. I'll have to think of more I've noticed

I agree with the posts about seeing family patterns astrologically, big time! I can see this in myself and my family.
I also have Scorpio Venus, but I don't agree that I'm not loyal, I'm sure this factor can change due to placement and the overall chart. I have Taurus rising with my Venus/Pluto conj on DC. I also have my sun/Mars/merc conj in libra which parallels my Pluto by 0 degrees, so the passion is undeniable. I can see where if the relationship isn't working or I'm not being fulfilled how I want soulful wise, I can move on pretty quick, seeming like I am unloyal but when I put my heart into someone I am insanely dedicated and protective of that person. With my closest friends, family/siblings I would DIE for them, do anything for them if they asked me. When I'm with the right person I'm very loyal, I'm so fixated on people I think it's obvious that they have my full attention.
