How does this influence your personality? I have Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune in my 8th, so I would assume that the 8th would be my dominant house...but my chart ruler, Mercury, and the my sun are in the 12th house. So I'm a bit confused on which house is truly dominant. IP: Logged |

My dominant house is my 1st house I have 4 planets in there and their all making some kind of aspect to eachother . EDIT: I think this gives me Aries traits , Im very independant and i can want all the attention and the spotlight just on me sometimes. I tend to focus on myself alot and with these planets it seems to some people that im a self interested , distant person .

Hmmm...my planets are so scattered but I have most of my inner planets in the 8th house and my outer planets in the 2nd house. My life has sort of a self and financial issues theme, as 8th and 2nd CAN indicate our personal values and what we share with others. IP: Logged |

The 7th House, I have 4 personal/inner planets there. This makes me very diplomatic and understanding of others. I always seek peaceful and cooperative resolutions to things. I consider myself an honorary Libra lol. ------------------ Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius ASC, Year of the Earth Snake "The Manticore is a mythological creature that is half-lion and half-scorpion." Hey guys, how do you find out what your dominant house is? What if you have the same amount of planets in two houses? Also, what does a chart ruler mean and how would you go about finding out what it is? Thanks Luminosity IP: Logged |

I would say the dominant house is swayed by which one has more personal/inner planets (sun, moon, mercury, venus, mars).
The chart ruler is the natural sign ruler of your ascendant so... If your ascendant is Aquarius your chart ruler is Uranus, if it's Cancer your chart ruler is the Moon etc. Hope this helps ------------------ Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius ASC, Year of the Earth Snake "The Manticore is a mythological creature that is half-lion and half-scorpion." My dominant house is the 11th house. I have my sun, mars, venus and mercury there. I have a tight small circle of friends but they are important to me. If I had to chose between love relationships and my friends I would definitely choose my friends. IP: Logged |

I'd say my 11th house. My chart ruler Jupiter is in the 11th, conjunct Venus, and I also have Mercury here. Most of my asteroids are here like Juno... also my NN and PoF. I think that these Aquarian undertones definitely influence my personality... it makes me a group-oriented person, strong with socializing and best in a setting where I can relate to and help others in unusual ways... like working with abuse survivors and going to dance halls and just mixing with the most original people. I dress classy but in a unique way. I'm very good at leading causes and fund raising. But 10th comes in a close second. Since my Sun is there, and it is un-aspected which to me, makes it pretty strong by default. This makes me obsessed with a creative career, plainly. IP: Logged |

My 2nd house for sure...I have Moon, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune there. I don't know how it affects me...maybe because it's so ingrained in my personality that I don't know how to step back from it and see what it's doing to me. IP: Logged |

I have a splay chart, so the most planets I have in a house is three and they're all spread out almost evenly in the chart. Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are in the 1st, Moon and Mars are in the 3rd and Sun, Mercury are in the 8th, so I'm almost even between the 3rd and the 8th H. If you don't have a stellium in your chart - which is 4 or more planets in one house/ sign, then your not as dominant in one house, like me. IP: Logged |

My 7th house is packed and it's at cross-purposes with who I am as an Aquarius. I deeply value my friendships and my friends are like family to me, but I am definitely a relationship person and my friendships could never replace my need for a romantic partner. I like to say I'm a Venusian-flavoured Aquarius.IP: Logged |

This from dkfoundation: "My own client profile would suggest that numbers of people coming into incarnation with the Sun and inner planets in H11 have been increasing markedly since the 1960s. This supports the expectation, common in New Age circles that as the Piscean Age draws to its close, societies will become more communalistic." http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/dkfoundation/BookKarmaHouse11.htm IP: Logged |

I too have noticed a lot of people with stelliums in H11, including my boyfriend. I'm not sure how I feel about that, tbh. I should theoretically love it as an Aquarius stellium, but again, it works at cross-purposes with my packed 7th house.IP: Logged |
