seeing as I get queasy and literally almost puke seeing shows where plastic surgery is taking place, or where one has just had some done...

I could never do it.

i avoid doctors and hospitals at all costs. I'd rather be ugly and have saggy, droopy boobs or whatever, and/or work on fixing things in a natural way than be ripped apart and had materials shoved inside of me, or had my nose broken and chiseled to look like a barbie doll....

OOoooOOuuch!!

nope. couldnt do it. would rather stay me. Ugly parts and all.

I had a nose job in my twenties after feeling really ugly for most of my younger years. It was really the best thing I did for my self esteem. I really changed my look entirely, and the people in my life who are not afraid to be honest with me totally agree. I don't know what in my chart would have spurred me to do it, maybe:

1) sun opposition saturn or
2) the chiron in Aries in the first house

or maybe my Venus in Libra which is very into aesthetics. Very. Chipped nail polish irks me to no end, so imagine an ugly schnoz?

ah, just re-read the original post again. What would I get done? Heck, if I thought it wasn't risky, I'd get lipo done - yesterday.

And I would definitely get a breast reduction (not loving the 38D's) but in my field (medical malpractice law) I've seen too many pics of bad scarring from these, so I'm really reluctant. Also, since every surgery comes with the risk of death from anesthesia complications, and since I now have a young child, that's off the table. My rhinoplasty was pre-child.

Exactly just the whole concept of breaking someone's body apart and the months of recovery ugh.

The Leo and Libra in me, likes the idea of becoming more aesthetically pleasing; the Virgo Venus in me finds it vain in a vulgar way, and considers it misleading other people, or being "false advertising"; and the Mars in Cancer thinks it's somehow disloyal to my family tree to alter what the gene pool gave me.

Call me vain~

I don't judge others for deciding to do something to their bodies~ be it some weird piercing or an implant~ it's their body.. not mine. I don't think people should -have- to look a certain way, but I would -want- people to all feel comfortable however they like, looking how they please.

It's when people get addicted to changing their bodies, or decide to only change for superficial reasons (the role the media plays in BDD), and when other people are scammed into buying these procedures for them (parents/lovers), that alone irks me. (My uncle was completely suckered in by a lady who he fell for head over heels~ he whisked her away to get married, had her dream house built, paid for her 6 children's everything, bought her a huge rock, and then he got her implants.... HUUUUUUUUUGE mistake, but he's naive like that... -chick ran off less than a month after having the house finished/implants done; back to her ex no less... poor, sorry fool.)

But, again... I'd get work done, if *I* could, and if *I* could afford it for myself - and I'd have it done *for* myself, no one else~

I've always hated being asymmetrical, if surgery was an option I'd get that fixed, and have them reconstructed to their original glory~ so yeah, breast augmentation/implant. I don't want anything *special* just what I had before having a child, and what would feel more proper (the symmetry). -and dental work~ which is considered vanity as well here I suppose... hah But, that's getting done hell or high water...

I can't say I fit my gene pool~~~ tyvm

My family is full of short, round women... I am short and very thin... you'd be greatly mistaken if you thought that any one of my short and round relatives wouldn't die to have -work- done, and over half of them would have reductions and lipo... another dozen would get their noses done, for sure. We're a very Greek looking bunch, but I was excluded when god or whatever was handing out curves~ lol

That all said, I'm happy with me, how I am... my battle scars/stripes, and itty-bitty baby bump... but, symmetry ~ that's my weak spot~ haha

Then again,surgery is something I can't take lightly, and my doctors would oppose~ unless it was my thymus/thyroid... in which case some of them might want to remove things~ eventually. BUT~ I cannot do surgery - it's too dangerous for me~

I don't see any reason to be harsh with each other~ <3 it's rather counter-productive if you want others to feel good about themselves~ ya know what I mean?

As for where at least in my chart that I can see any struggle with beauty ---- or ideals thereof~ maybe it has something to do with just being very earthy - needing order Cappy/Virgo thing...

I don't think it has anything to do with my Venus - she's only got semisquares to MAR/PLU~ but her conjunction to URA makes her like things a tad different. well... or so I think.

~~~~~~~~~~ sorry for the lack of brevity~ as always... <3
is it weird to like big or prominent noses on people? 'Cause I do.
I had a family member who had a huge Irish beak. She got a nose job and got a cute little nose. It looked great on her, but so did the other one.
& the other one looked more natural and actually fit better with her eyes and the rest of her face.
It's always a bit weird to look at a face that you know is fake. You know they went thru tons of pain to get there...
I don't know. Kind of sad?
Leave yourself alone. True beauty comes from within.
Who said anything about judging others? I probably should've clarified, but I thought it wasn't necessary to be that specific. I personally wouldn't do it because I'd feel I was betraying my gene pool and my family by doing it. I was in no way passing judgment on or speculating about the motives of others who have had work done. I know people who have had work done, some of them I'm very fond of.
As far as the comments about an undesired trait not being from a gene pool, that's not possible because you get ALL your physical traits via DNA. So even if most of your family didn't get a particular physical trait and you did, somewhere, on some side of your family tree, one of your ancestors had that trait and you picked it up, otherwise you would've never wound up with it in the first place.
I think for now the only thing that clearly needs work is the nose. The rest, for now I hope will be corrected with exercise and diets. Of course, all free hehe. We do one another.
Please leave yourself alone. I've seen your pictures and think you are naturally stunning the way you are.
Don't damage your face.
If you got a bad nose job, it would just scream insecurity for the rest of your life.....or that you werent happy with yourself they way you were....
....when you should be.
please accept my opinion as it was meant....
kind advice.
Either way, you'd be beautiful. Just think twice ....or thrice...maybe.
always awkward looking....
especially when they get too much of the lip injections.
and when they were pretty in the first place.
Wasn't directed at you sweetie~~~~~
I didn't like the "lame" comment from KarkaQueen~~~ sorry should have used the quotation~
I know what you meant and that you weren't bashing~ --- but, you seem to be feeling a tad confrontational right now. ;;
I don't wanna step on anyone's toes~
--- you know what I mean... I have the urge to -try- my hand at being liberal~~~ I guess that failed~
Nono, I know there was someone somewhere in my huge family who had a skinny-gene~ I'm just the only one with it pronounced.
I don't deny the genetic-study~ just dislike the thought that our body is, somehow-someway - indicative of respect to our family~
esp when everyone's pretty much got some relative who wants/had something done...
~~~ i guess my MER isn't communicating properly yet~~~~~~

nope - SAT in the 3H SCO

~~~ I meant no harm either way~ and hope nobody gets the idea that I'm attacking their opinions~ I enjoy hearing how others feel, or perceive things...
but, sometimes I find especially when relying on the internet to communicate~ we come off sounding a more contemptuous, or bitter... when in fact, we don't mean too~ but the social media/interwebs doesn't allow us to be clear in our sentiments~
I wanna be clear in mine~ I -do- respect your opinion, sincerely... and your insights~
but, hope we all can agree to disagree here or there, and that we can tolerate those differences with humility and at least a little understanding/sympathy.
<3 --- I hope that was clear~ ty guys~
Astrology wouldn't answer that because anyone and everyone would absolutely change their appearance for the better if they had the chance to do it! It's only relative to how much pain, risk, or resources they have to put in. 15 years ago laser eye surgery had complications and cost close to 10,000 dollars. Now you can pay 2-3000 and come out never having to wear glasses again with almost zero worry of risk or complications. Liposuction used to be very dangerous.. Nowadays it rarely is. As procedures continue to get safer, less painful and less expensive, more and more people will get them no matter their birth chart. I DO see a future where everyone gets plastic surgery the same way nowadays virtually everyone gets braces.
But I do think that astrology may perhaps show what kind of person might BENEFIT more from plastic surgery. It is my opinion that unless the chart of the native supports beauty on some level then no amount of surgery is going to help that person become "beautiful." I find that people who look plain and then get their noses and chins done and suddenly look great- those people already had a fairly good support for their appearance in their birth chart, except perhaps something in their chart was causing their beauty to be 'delayed'. If your chart does not support your appearance then surgery may fix some problem areas but the person will never look beautiful. Luckily most people who go for surgery are not looking to come out models, but seem to have realistic expectations.
I'm suprised so many women are anti breast implants. You can pay $6k. Finanace it even, and your life changes forever. More confidence,etc. Why aren't women doing this? You could have a new change in life for just $200 bucks a month.
Awww, thank you T! Well I have gotten more progress in the self-love department since writing that, but I AM a plastic surgeon . Not only do I have access to it, and the best doctors, it would all be free too. Haven't done anything yet. Sometimes it tempts me, because aside from the pain, the rest is covered and it would be so easy. I asked the doctor I work with if he'd do my nose, he said it's not necessary lmao. If I'd ever do it, it would be as a way of processing the abuse (I was brutally beaten at school by a boy and it got broken - it healed alright all things considered but it is still a reminder).
A tight Venus/sun/mercury conjunct asc.
Venus,sun,mercury square jupiter in *VIRGO* (I feel like this is the main culprit.)
I know I'm attractive overall but I'm obsessed with tiny flaws that no one else notices/cares about. I would get the bags under my eyes fixed if I had the money.
Also I would fix my left nostril it looks slightly crooked in pictures.
Nobody notices that until I point it out in photos lol
Idk I'm an artist a portrait artist at that lol and aesthetics have always been important to me. I think most good artists are some what vain. I think a being plastic surgeon is really cool too!
lol no. I would rather squish soft natural breasts than big ol' hard balloons. Most guys aren't that much into breasts except sleazy car salesmen's with slicked back hair and unibrows. Besides I think small breasts are cute
