I'm an Aries female and I've been dating a Cancer male since February. This is my first serious relationship and we're very compatible, but sometimes our differences can be overwhelming. This is the first person I've dated that I've lived with and spent a majority of my time around.I started this thread because I'm looking for advice from people about a Fire woman dating a Water man. I have a Cancer Ascendant and Moon/Mercury in Pisces, and we have many complementary aspects between us, but I am realizing through this relationship how powerful the Sun sign is! When we get angry at each other, I always snap at him, "There's the door; you're free to leave!" He tells me, "I don't have a choice anymore; I'll never leave you." He also shares very intimate information with me & answers any questions I ask, which I know is rare for a Cancer with Mercury in Cancer. I am so grateful for him and never want to lose him, but I am afraid my fiery temperament might eventually drive him away (or stay, but become bitter & resentful). ummm lol. haha how many times are we gonna see aries and cancers post about their obsession with each other. Or fire and water threads about the passionate connection in general. I am a cancer female also obsessed with aries guys. (I absolutely love seeing these threads  so thank you.) Honestly, somebody's temper will only faze me when i am not totally in love with them to begin with. I am in love with ONE aries guy, even though i've liked many, and if he were to have a temper, I would personally try to take him to a psychologist to see if we could work it out. I will not be mistreated, yelled at. All my leo placements demand that you be perfectly nice to me and treat me like a queen. I don't put up with that. But cancers are loyal and we would at least try to work through it for a long long time...visits to the psychologist, seeing if they change. We would wait for a long time. You have a chance, to work on it. We aren't gonna leave you, not for a long while.But with the aries i have good compatibility with, I have found that they treat me sweetly and kindly and do not have a temper with me. So maybe it's a matter of compatibility in the end. And yes, you're absolutely right...sun signs are way more important than most "advanced astrologers," so they call themselves, will admit. I'm glad you noticed, because so many don't ^_^
But at the same time, I do feel it has to do with the synastry and composite to see how long a person will stick by and try to work through it with you.

Aries - bullies
Cancers - sensitiveNot a good match to me. My cousin is an Aries and her husband of 6 years is Cancer but with more leo influences. i am surprised he hasn't left her. I love her but I will admit she is a *****. She has Hitler's birthday :/ IP: Logged |

i know aries girls and guys who are total sweethearts, i also know some who are bullies like you said....its about half and half haha. so i will have to agree...SOME are def bullies------------------

imo aries is too idealistic and innocent to have the beliefs hitler had. the fire signs are children at heart. Taurus makes more sense since it's a fixed sign (fixed, rigid, stubborn , narrow minded beliefs), and scorpio's opposite which makes them similar. however, even though scorpio can be a bully as well, i feel they have a lot more sympathy (water) and is more flexible and open minded/accepting than earth, which is the eternal adult.------------------

Ive dated and only been pursued by one Cancer guy. It was so great in the beginning and then when things got too serious, the games began and that's when I lost respect for him. I dated him from like '06-'08 and let it go in the middle of 08, for him to be almost 10 yrs my senior he played a lot of games. I backed off and moved on but still somewhat stayed in contact as friends. But while we dated we both showed our ***** , he saw my really bad side an I saw his as well as good too but he does know me very well. To this day he still loves and want to be with me, but I just can't. I dont know if it's my Aries sun or Pisces moon that just detaches completely emotionally after a while. But I just can't bring myself to have those romantic feelings for him anymore. Once I've been deeply hurt or betrayed I can't ever look at the person the same way. But from my experience I think if a cancer really loves you they will be there through thick and thin, so as Iong as your not crazy I think your good. Yes Aries have tempers and that can be both a
Postive and negative thing, you shouldn't have to go to therapy for something that comes naturally to you. I have learned to somewhat cOntrol my temper but sometimes I get mad just like everyOne else an I refuse to hold that anger in it must be released, just like I accept peoples shortcomings they should accept mine too including my temper, which is really dependent on how you treat me. Treat me nice and you never know that I have a temper eff with me and you will get what you deserve. My cancer knows the good bad and ugly about me and tells me constantly he loves all of me. Why so much hate for Cancer guys? I'm genuinely curious. What have been your experiences? I had a very bad experience with one, indeed, lots of lies and manipulation but they can be good guys also, right...? RIGHT?? lol.
But I don't think Aries is a very good match for them.. It can definitely work out with other good connections but they're basically too different, one is ruled by Mars and the other by the Moon. You get the idea.

Personally - I don't hate them.. But I find them annoying because I'm an energetic person - I'm mostly enthusiastic and upbeat. They drain me.. I feel like I have to walk on egg shells around them. They get hurt easily - They create emotional drama.. after drama...
It's just too much.
I need more happiness in my life.
They are too depressive.Obviously this does NOT by any means apply to every Cancer out there. My auntie for example is a Cancer who is very positive but she has fire in her chart.

Ah, I see, Odette!Thanks for elaborating. I can see where you're coming from. I guess it doesn't bother me that much because I'm a fire void myself so I'm not that active, and actually I think firey people tend to drain me because they always wanna move and do stuff and I'd rather stay home and chill. Good to know you haven't encountered such problems with them. I think they're more likely to lie and manipulate and whatnot when they're younger or if they have too much water going on.

Okay so I'm not an expert by any means so please correct me if I'm wrong...but a few things I see from looking at the chart you posted:1. Sun square mercury - he may have a hard time talking to you or feeling comfortable talking about your personal subjects. 2. Sun square saturn - you may have difficulty accepting the things he has to teach you. he could have a problem with possessiveness/domineering or just general control issues over you. 3. Sun trine Moon - the two of you relate well to one another and have a general flow and respect for one another's feelings and outlooks on life. This is a rather harmonious aspect whether its between friends or lovers. ...The more I look at your chart (i'm typing this as I look) the more it appears that for any challenging aspect you have, the 2 of you have a positive one to counteract or help push it in a positive direction. I say that as long as both of you are open and honest, and he can give you enough freedom to satisfy your Aries needs and you can be nurturing towards the crab(and gosh don't forget that leo, NEVER insult this one on a personal level if you want them to forgive you..) Go for it and love it!! Especially with that pisces moon!! I'm a Pisces sun and I dated a Cancer sun for almost 5 years..I think the power of the sun was a little too much for my Cancer..too much water in the sun signs. My ex whom I dated for 5 years is the only Cancer guy I've ever known and for most of that time I felt nothing but drama and possessiveness from him. Some signs can handle it, but being Pisces sun I fed off of his emotions and reflected them and the Leo side of me hated being so damn moody. I found his devotion to be of the utmost until I hurt him and then it was *** for tat until he got me back for whatever I had done to wrong him. Sounds more like Scorpion issues to me!
Drama & possessiveness, I wouldn't associate it with Cancer at all..Did you guys have strong Pluto connections?
Or outer planets that caused disruption? Maybe something in his natal chart was triggered and made him act that way (afflicted Moon/Venus).

I'm unsure of his ASC but it would be the only Scorpio influence he had if he had it, and it certainly suits him!!His Sun is quincunx my Pluto, and my pluto quincunx his moon. idk what effect that would have.. I can tell you we couldn't talk to each other about anything and it seemed like my emotions weighed him down just as much as his did to me. We did NOT belong together despite Sun sign compatibility. ------------------
