I have wondered this for a while; I have Saturn opposite the fixed star Regulus almost exact. Saturn in the 5th and Regulus naturally in the 11th. Any insights? :OIP: Logged |

Very interesting indeed! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this! IP: Logged |

Ooo. I love this topic! I always desire 'practical astrology'. Like, what do I do about my squares and oppositions? Saturn and crap placements lol? That Saturn in Leo really resonates with me....and I feel that it would make all the difference to play out my aquarian side more.....now all I have to do, is do. Old thread, but I find this really interesting. The above is certainly descriptive of me! I have Sagittarius Saturn in the 3rd house opposite Sun in Gemini in the 9th. I'm a voracious reader, always have been. Books are my life! I'm also constantly multitasking, and finding stimulating pastimes. I don't think I've been bored even once since I was a small child... 9th/3rd house themes are overall very prominent in my life, especially communication and education. I studied a multitude of subjects at university before settling on a degree in Library and Information Science. And my thesis was about communication barriers... I've never heard anything good about my Saturn/Sun opposition, but I've also can't say that I've suffered from it... at least not as an adult. Maybe having the Sun in opposition to Saturn can even be a help, because it makes the opposite sign a natural state? Anyway, that's the way it seems to have worked for me... The Sabian for Saturn's opposite degree is: Gemini 19: IN A MUSEUM A LARGE ARCHAIC VOLUME REVEALS A TRADITIONAL WISDOM This Symbol speaks of knowledge and wisdom coming through from those who went before. In a progressive world we look so often for new ideas and new solutions and Traditional wisdom is nowadays often ignored. Many old traditions may no longer be relevant to the present but ‘Traditional Wisdom’ is something we can often benefit from. You may be experiencing intuitive wisdom outside of your own experience and potential. This wisdom is inherent in us all and needs merely to be tapped to be understood. Learn from the best of the past. The truths held there are worthy and valuable to you in the now. Reading, studying and learning. Collective knowledge and wisdom from ancient sources. Enormous potential to be tapped. Akashic records. Astrology. Oracles. Books bound in leather. The Caution: Not understanding wise messages or advice OR being caught up in accepting only what tradition dictates. Old and outdated laws. Going strictly by the book. Very thematically appropriate! Especially since I've studied Literary History, Archaeology, Egyptology, the ancient Egyptian language... and so on. Old texts and old traditions have been a source of endless fascination for me.
