In my very limited experience - No Neptune does not always indicate lies & deception - there is a positive side to it, including the squares. I have Neptune in Sag square sun & venus in Pisces natally. My husband has his Neptune in Sag also sq his sun & venus in virgo. So in synastry we both have the sqaure (both ways - the orb is about 3 deg both ways so I don't know if this is too wide to be considered a square). But we have a very unique relationship that has lasted over 15 years so far. I know a lot of our friends & family find it incredible that we can be so loving and so kind to each other. But the reason is that in addition to living a life as traditional husband & wife & raising children, we feel that we are here for each other's personal & spiritual growth. We meditate together, we do yoga together. We are both deeply humanitarian, very optimistic & have a lot of faith in ourselves, in each other & in life in general. So far, we have had an easy run & we do not seem to have experienced at all the negative side of the Neptune square in synastry. So I think the saying that the stars can foretell but not compel is still true. Your attitude, your free will & what you choose to do with your astrological make-up is entirely up to you. BUT that's just my view - I have never been a big believer of the either/or way of thinking, but I understand that everyone's experience is different. Hope my experience helps you!IP: Logged |

Every single planet has a positive side to it, but I've noticed a tendency for everyone to usually forget that where Neppy is concerned and describe it as a malefic when it isn't, or focus solely on the possible negative manifestations of the planet; even when the specific aspect being discussed is either neutral (a conjunction) or postive (a trine).Again - Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, and represents love in its highest, purest form - along with dreams, music, creativity, and that selflessness associated with Pisces. So, in short? No, unless the aspects are hard ones, Neptune does not always mean deception, either in synastry, composite, or a natal. When you see comments otherwise, that's based more in the current trend towards bias, than in any astrologically-correct reality.
Agreed!!! Nice to hear someone else say it! ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! IP: Logged |

Neptune in trine can be really nice. People who are creative together can have strong Neptune but I would think it would be the conjunction or the good aspects--trine and sextile. I have good Neptune with someone and we are very creative together. It is cool and I think it is the Neptune. You can't make a good creative partnership. The chart has to allow for it.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/
