What are your experiences with natal Pluto conjunct natal Mars? I am reading some horrifying stuff about it, including it being a placement that points to severe child abuse, rape, torture and all around volatile and explosive personalities. Also, what does it mean if Pluto conjunct Mars is part of a Yod? I am really worried. Please respond. IP: Logged |

I am absolutely terrified of being like my own father and terrorizing my daughter. I am afraid of being cold and distant to her, I am afraid of playing sick mind games with her of control and manipulation, and just all around hurting her. Her astrology chart, if she is born any time between now and after her due date, could indicate some pretty severe childhood abuse! It is truly freaking me out!IP: Logged |

My husband has Mars conjunct Pluto, and he is a very easy-going, loving and kind person. Not really explosive, but logical and calm, especially given the fact that his moon is in Scorpio. He did grow up raised by a psychopath who abused him, his siblings and his mother and repeatedly raped his sister. I am not trying to get in to too much information, but I feel this information is pertinent to my fears of my baby's astrology chart. http://www.astro.com/cgi/showgif.cgi?lang=e&gif=astro_w2gw_149_miria_r_hp.47270.47584.gif&res=63&va=&cid=copfileAjpOQj-u1278195242 her chart looks pretty much the same all the way up to her due date. I am dialated and my cervix is effacing, so she can show up at any time. It is unlikely I will go past my due date. IP: Logged |

http://sasstrology.com/2012/03/dark-energy-aspects-between-mars-and-pluto-in-the-natal-chart.html this link does not portray hubby at all. he is very easy going, and is very good at finding people's good sides and breaking down people's power trips. i see him as very much a light worker in the world. FROM HE CHARTi see that she might have emotional stress related to her carrer/statut she might feel like the work she does keeps her from being indipendent or where the action happens this might lead to outburst of emotion that might come out suddenly and fairly strongly since the whole mars pluto thing this is all theory and if she will be happy and have slf discipline she will do good i have a chart much worse and i have yet to have a breakdown IP: Logged |

Thank you again. I feel that she will have a very strong, willfull personality. But I do not want to believe she will be volatile or have a traumatic childhood. Our synastry together points to a very intense, deep bond, and I am kind of scared of that too. I REALLY do not want to mess with her head! It frightens me because I have a lot of weird issues in my head and tend to project them on to other people, which is all fine and good to a point cus if people don't like me, they can walk away from me. But I can not do stuff like that as a parent! I am her mommy, and I am supposed to be a well of love and security, not anger and rejection. I am going to be raising her for many years until she leaves the nest, and that leaves a lot of time for me to slip up.IP: Logged |

Thank you. You are very kind. I will keep an eye on myself. Another fear would be that I would be so careful with her that I would be emotionally reserved for fear of getting too close and hurting her. IP: Logged |

It's a bulldozer/steamroller sort of energy. It wants something it mows down everything in sight to get it. Single-minded, focused, passionate, direct. This is the energy isolated."Her astrology chart, if she is born any time between now and after her due date, could indicate some pretty severe childhood abuse! It is truly freaking me out!" --Erm, on its own it doesn't indicate abuse. If it's aligned with Sun or Moon then the potential there is stronger, or the IC/MC. But abuse is also Neptune energy, the victim..so many ways abuse can be seen in the chart. I mean Hilary Clinton has Mars conj Pluto. A friend I've had for yrs has Mars conj Pluto in Scorp, she wasn't abused but she did go on to serve in the military cos she's got balls; girl isn't afraid of anything..then again she also has Saturn in Scorp there as well. The energy "the force" is in the qualities of that sign, so look to what it represents. (We won't go into details of my friend's sexual escapades WHILE in the military ) The sign matters here greatly. "My husband has Mars conjunct Pluto" --OK this makes sense, aspects get passed down just like genes. Is this your first child and his? "well people with a mars pluto conjunction are sturdy" --yup IP: Logged |

When I read up on it, I am shocked by the assumptions behind the aspect.I don't think mars conjunct pluto is THAT bad!I have mars conjunct pluto thisclose in scorpio in the 5th house no less and those traits don't describe at all.I am no violent and have not had an experiences with outward aggression, etc. I think if that aspect is "afflicted" just like any aspect there may be a tendency to go to the extreme--but that's with ANY aspect good or bad. But that the ability to tap into the "negatives" of this aspect is possible if the person is not really evolved. In my perspective: Pros: Drive, ambition, and focus. Deep desires and the ability to "will" them into being with faith in yourself. Cons: TOO MUCH drive, ambition and TOO much focus on a single objects and the ability to THINK that you can will things into being by bulldozing. But, I think that both expressions of these traits are necessary in life--persistence and the ability to undestand your own power is very important and I think this aspect is really about charting your own destiny and following through on your actions. I think my mars and pluto conjunction has helped me stay focused on my goals--for instance I started grad school again after 4 years of persistence doing research, applying to numerous schools and getting passed over etc. No one could tell me that I was NOT going to get my MA! Or leave my hometown! LOL. I think that is a positive example of this aspect. IP: Logged |

This conjunction can be great. It's a sign of strength - not an affliction... specially in Capricorn.. It's definitely a good sign for it, since Mars is exalted in Cap! Your son or daughter - will have an awesome career if anything.Sometimes less than knowledgeable astrologers will write interpretations for easy and hard aspects - including the conjunction as a hard aspect. This is not a good idea imo - because a conjunction is different to an opposition or a square. The energies of the two planets merge. They are not in conflict. They are *unified*. The negative things you mentioned are more likely with squares and opps. IP: Logged |

You guys have changed this around in to an aspect I am actually excited about her having. Thank you. As her mommy, even before learning her chart, I just felt intuitively that she is going to be a very strong, willful person, almost wild person. Warrior-like, even. I am very excited now, not scared. Thank you, you guys. You're awesome.IP: Logged |

I have mars conjunct pluto in Libra in the third house. Since Libra is opposite to Aries, this is a detriment. Is this actually a very bad placement for me? IP: Logged |

I have Mars conjunct Pluto in Libra in my second house. I'm a pretty benign and laid back person with a 'live and let live' attitude to life and others most of the time.I've been told that it's a good aspect for stamina, staying power, achievement, money making, etc. and that it is sometimes regarded as a 'supersexual' aspect. The area of your life which benefits from this aspect, I guess, will be down to which house it's in and what aspects the conjunction is making with other planets. "severe child abuse, rape, torture and all around volatile and explosive personalities" Definitely not me. I used to eventually snap quite badly if pushed long enough and hard enough by someone but as I've matured I've learned to manage this energy and to not let other people get to me so that potentially destructive energies don't build up in the first place.
