That doesn't surprise me since you are a guy, Venus and the moon both symbolize the women in your life. What sign is the Moon in? It's your wife who is seen as more aloof and detached than you prefer because in a man's chart, Venus refers to what style a woman will love him in. Is your wife more a friend than anything else? Does she prefer to be around a lot of people at once, like at a party? Political and idealistic? She could be in the science related fields or social work. Does she devote more time to causes when you wish she would devote more to you? If you tell me your moon sign I can give you a more complete picture.
Thank you so much for your kind explanation. My comments were in the context of this thread about men of certain Venus signs being unattractive. The OP says there's not enough deepness and warmth! I can understand that different women have different tastes. But I'm anything but aloof and detached. My wife is a proud Leo sun. Yes, she's the greatest of friends and we have a shocking amount in common in terms of likes, viewpoints, religion, politics and we even like the same style of clothes. Sorry I can't fit into her clothes. Lol. We are both Gemini Moons. I'm a Cspricorn Sun. Yes she's a terror in the bedroom, and just as well because I'm a Capricorn Mars, so it all goes well together. She's somewhat more of the rational type. No, she's not unaffectionate or frigid, or she wouldn't be my wife. But iI'm more outwardly expressive and emotionally affectionate. If it makes any sense, I'm the type of man who would trade some of the sex for affection expression and loving displays. It sometimes doesn't make sense, but I'm more of the "I love you do much" and "You mean everything to me," and she's more like "yo, baby, lets get busy." Hahaha.

Do you know if her Sun is opposite your Venus position by aspect or is it just opposite by sign? The effect of the opposition becomes apparent because she is projecting your Venus position back to you which is supposed to be what this particular aspect manifests, while the square is more about blockage and stifling. The opposition could explain the difference here. It's part of the dynamic of your relationship. It doesn't sound too bad though. It's one of those things you have in relationships since no two people are 100% compatible. So long as it is not too unbearable which it doesn't seem to be.

Thank you so much. Sun and Venus are only opposite by sign and there are no meaningful aspects. My Sun is Trine very wide to Venus at 6 degrees I think. There are no issues. We've been married 20 years. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/002836.html

Yw! I notice you have an opposition between your Venus and her Mars in Leo, with a wide orb. That could explain the feelings you experience.

Oh! You mean the aspect where my Venus in Aquarius is Opposite her Mars in Leo by 2 degrees 44 minutes? Sorry I'm a newbie and trying to learn. Her Mars as a woman and my Venus as a man is so significant? I see. I still cannot reconcile with most of what is said in this thread on Venus in Aquarius. I feel the description is so far off from my personality. IP: Logged |

My least favorite is probably Gem Venus in a man. Unless it conjuncts my NN and I fall head over heals hopelessly. Don't remember dating Aries Venus men, but doubt I'd like them much. I kinda dislike Venus in detriment. Funny thing I'm interested in someone who's Venus is in fall. For some reason I don't have much issue with that. But Aries and Scorpio Venuses can get really vulgar and tacky and downright abject. Bothers my Taurus Venus in DOMICILE aesthetic sense. You'd expect I'd like Libra Venus coz it's also in domicile. I don't. Competition!! They're next on the list. Methinks they're shallow. The only air Venus I enjoy is Aqua. The only water Venus I like is Pisces. I like ALL earth Venuses. How can you NOT like anything about them, all that earthiness and hedonism?? They usually trine or conjunct my Asc, that's why. As for Fire, I like Sag Venuses. Leo not so much. I mean that as relationship potential, not people in general. I'm very picky about partners. IP: Logged |

just because a man has venus in cancer it doesnt mean that small boobs are a deal breaker for him. IP: Logged |

I have Venus in Virgo and I'm anything but boring It's not that I don't like them, but I'm iffy with people who have their Venus in water signs. ------------------ Leo Sun, Gemini Moon, Scorpio Rising. I will create happiness rather than pursue it. IP: Logged |

Venus in Aquarius is one of my favorites...very sweet, funny people.Venus in Scorpio is just asking for trouble (jealousy, possessiveness, with a dash of vengefulness, anyone?). Fun in bed, though. Venus in Leo - no offense - but high maintenance, entitled, and too much work...and it's never enough, never quite good enough. Venus in Gemini, too fickle. Venus in Libra is also a lot of work, but different to Venus in Leo. Entitled in a different way. Venus in Aries is exciting (to me) but they sizzle and fizzle pretty quickly in the emotions department. Venus in Sagittarius is fun, but my Venus in Taurus cannot rely on a secure/stable relationship with them, so no. Problem is, I do like them because of that...anything too secure or too stable can be boring to me..lol. It's a dilemma. Venus in Capricorn, I don't recall offhand, but I imagine is too routine oriented. I dislike routines with a passion. Venus in Cancer - too clingy, noooooo thanks. Venus in Virgo is okay, but not creative enough (for me). Venus in Pisces is very sweet, but from my experience, they start to imagine their future with you so early in the relationship, it scares me off. Like, slooooooow down there! With Venus in Taurus - like myself - I can safely say stubborness would be prominent. However, they'd be nurturing and giving...wait, I did date a guy who was Venus in Taurus and Sun in Taurus, too...very nice guy, very sweet..but I got bored quickly. So I dunno if we can say one Venus is more/less attractive as a general rule because we all have different likes/dislikes, and the above is mine. I just want to speak up for my Venus in Taurus, though, and say we are not all cavemen/women, like some tend to think. We have refined tastes, are dedicated and loyal, and great in bed! So stop picking on us. :P I have Sun in Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius, Mars/Venus in Taurus, Scorpio Ascendant, MC in Leo, and Aries in Mercury, just FYI.

If that were so, 1/12 of the men in Asia would be perpetual bachelors and the suicide rates would be higher. The OEM issued pairs tend not to exceed a mid-sized B cup, at best. IP: Logged |

Why would a Venus be so important in a man anyway? Isn't a man's Venus more reflective of the type of woman he likes? Wouldn't a woman's Moon matching a man's Venus be somewhat ideal? Off the bat, I can think of two women with Moons in my Venus sign that I click with automatically. IP: Logged |

Wow, A+ for honesty. So you feel things are never quite good enough, then?I want to add, I have a Cancer Sun friend with the Venus in Leo. I have watched her for YEARS in relationships, and that "it's just not enough/not good enough" is an overwhelming characteristic and wears her partner(s) out. But then, she doesn't get it when the relationship breaks up because of exactly that. It's tough to watch, over and over. Guess we all have our lessons in life. ------------------ Sun in Pisces Moon in Sagittarius Scorpio Ascendant Mars/Venus in Taurus Aries in Mercury MC in Leo

I prefer Venus in earth and water, preferably with an aspect to an outer planet. I like em a lil bit crazy. :PI have dated two air venus men, both with hard aspects from their Venus to Pluto (one quincunx, one square), the one with the square also had a sextile from Venus to Uranus. They were both still too "detached" for me. However, the latter Venus was obsessed about me; he just went about showing it a way that was too "friend" and not enough "lover" for me. IP: Logged |

I have Taurus Venus & I don't get bored by sweetness lol They could be sweet for a life time. As long we have a strong mental connection and they have an interesting personality! If someone is unable to be sweet - that sends me out the door pretty fast though (like Aries Venus). IP: Logged |

@ CK - 7 Aqua relationships (not all intimate/lasting - not that kinda' gal~ lol god no... >.<; !) the only similarities they had in women were there was no defining similarities... I think they just have better priorities than finding the perfect bust size in a mate~ if that's the case, it's a credit to them, I'd say. Always seemed to me with Aqua Sun/Ven men~ they'd rather you keep them interested.... (something I obviously failed to do many times... heh) ~ and maybe they like peculiar body features more than perfection... more credit if that's the case too~ @ AG~ you're tall though!~ you can have a leg fetish --- that's perfectly understandable, methinks. ^^ (I like leggy chicks too~ but umm... short legs are awesome as well --- mmm like Tina Turner!) <3 lol I have only ever encountered "breast size bias" from one man~ yup - only a Sagittarius Sun, Capricorn Venus who ever said anything rude/inappropriate about my ummm "personal shortcomings" --- and the real pity there is... I'm still married to him. :/ IP: Logged |
