Wow i quess your the only luck one hahFrom what i've studied in the past Venus in 8th is a very lovely aspect because it gives your relationships a sweeter tone naturally, and your suppose to be lucker for marriage (not saying your marriage would turn out great) also, busniess partners should turn out peaceful too. But, if your venus has bad aspects your looking at backward relationships and confusing business companions IP: Logged |

I'm new to this part of astrology. So how does having Taurus in the House that rules Scorpio affect my life? When you say that you have Venus conjunct Mars does that mean that you have BOTH in the 8th? IP: Logged |

The 8th house is other people's stuff, and how you are interested in it. Taurus in the 8th indicates that you probably are concerned with material security, and you might look to a partner to find that security. Since Taurus is an earth sign, you may focus on the practical and physical parts of relationships, instead of the mental and emotional.

Yes, both my Venus and Mars are in the 8th house. This is not always the case; all aspects, including the conjunction, can have an orb (a separation) of several degrees. That separation can sit right on the border between two signs or two houses. For example, I have Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto all conjunct to each other, and all in the 9th house -- but my Mercury and Pluto are in the last degrees of Libra, while my Sun and Saturn are in the first degrees of Scorpio.

^ Interesting! Thank You for your input. I also read somewhere else that Venus in Taurus doesn't tend to care much about emotional/mental bonds in a relationship. And that is COMPLETELY FALSE about me!! I do need security to some extent, yes. But I definitely CRAVE emotional depth in my partner, or else I get totally bored with you. My Pluto (in Scorpio) being in the First House plays a part in that? Or my deep Cancer Moon maybe. But yeah...love has to go deeper than a man's pockets if I am going to actually FALL for him. I have venus in aries 8th house. My relationships are very plutonic, ALL OR NOTHING. Also, when I get heartbroken, it feels like an emotional death. I feel as though the depth of emotion/feelings in love run deeper than Hades. But I also feel emotions intensely because of my moon in cancer as well. They both reinforce each other on the constant. And I do feel as though I've been "transformed" through every relationship I've had... as if I'd gone through the furnace as a golden nugget & came out as a beautifully fcked up piece of jewelry lolIP: Logged |

Venus is associated with pleasure, fun, leisure, creativity, spending, enjoyment, theatre, music etc.With Venus in Taurus, you could find pleasure in activities that heighten or stimulate your sense of sight, touch, taste, smell and hear. So to you, the physical universe could offer much pleasure and stimulation for you; long walks in nature, a gentle massage, good music etc. Taurus Venus can find pleasure in the little things. Venus also alludes to principles and values. So, when Venus is in Taurus, you may value stability, consistency and an –easy going approach to life matters. You may lean towards fair mindedness, peace and accommodation to your surroundings and the people therein. Mars and the sign it is in will govern your expression and projection. So, for instance, if say Venus in Taurus values harmony and synergy, Mars in Aries will be a fierce protector of these values; both in relationships as well as externally. With Venus in the 8th house, this could point to • An estate or money being left you. • It could also suggest that people like to spend their money on you or entrust you with their most valued possession. • In an inheritance, you are surely to be looked on favourably. • Death (another 8TH House issue) could be peaceful. • Death could be caused by issues related to Venus (overindulgence, venereal disease, excessive pleasure-seeking).

Whoa AscTaurus, I like how you break things down so neatly. How about Venus in 8th house Libra on Spica?Venus in 8th I won’t go into detail again of what Venus represents. But in a nutshell, Venus is definitely what the flavour of life is all about. So, when Venus is in the cool, airy and balanced nature of Libra, it definitely takes on a less “earthy” quality of say Taurus or Capricorn. Here Venus finds pleasure and ecstasy in co-operation, in merging opposing sides, “when enemies become friends” dynamic etc. So in art, Venus in Libra may appreciate the “edgy” mixed with the light. In music they may welcome the harmonizing of the different vocal expressions in one song. In friendships, they may choose an outgoing, boisterous personality on one hand and then a very sensitive, shy individual on the other. Since Venus also represents ethics and moral codes, the Venus in Libra may suggest a “dissonance” between two very credible personal philosophies; one usually abides with the rules of society and convention whilst the other is rebellious and downright revolutionary. What they often look for, is a partner who can bring these two “opposing” sides of their values to an agreeable place. Or someone who can at least fulfil the role of being one of these two sides. Mars is how one will project or assert these feelings. Mars, say in the sign of Libra, will expect their inner values (Venus in Libra) to be consistent with their external projection. So since Venus in Libra is caught between two sides, Mars in Libra can definitely play the devil’s advocate; empathizing with both the mother in dire circumstances as well as the aborted foetus etc. So when the partner agrees that homosexuals should be given the right to marry, Mars in Libra may seem to argue on the less approving side. They just want to make sure that all areas have been covered. When Venus is in the eighth house, it can denote; • Favour in receiving a legacy usually from spouse/friend/partner. • Spouse/acquaintance may spend money on you. • Sexual intimacy may take on a very romantic/sensual approach. • Sexual/emotional intimacy may be through partnerships • Death may be with a partner or due to the loss of a partner. • Death may be caused by discord, divorce or heartbreak due to separation etc. • Riches may be gained through spousal income/marriage/partnership. With eighth house matters, you can be sure that with Venus in Libra, there is often “favour”, good fortune and partnership/”other” involved.

Nicely put, Blackbird. I love security, but not only financially - that's good as well. I like practicality, long-term commitment, and confidence..someone that I know will have the means to take care of themselves, and not have me footing the entire bill would be awesome, -- my Moon squares my Venus though..6th house Moon = Fluctuating health..easily stressed out about every day life. It sucks, but it's on Spica at least, and it sextiles Uranus + exactly trines my Aqua Asc, so it isn't that bad, but my love life is very "mysterious" though. Agree - love music. Venus in Libra though, not in Taurus. ------------------ "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. From a person who has Venus conj Uranus in Scorpio in 8th house. According to his words, he falls in love hard and fast, becomes incredibly obsessive, almost to the point of stalkery, and super passionate, but once he manages a steady relationship with this person, it is very likely that he will just as suddenly fall out of love. He says, "I wake up in the morning and see her face and then I think like, wow, she's cute but that's it, whyever did I think she ripped my soul apart?"He admits he likes the idea of a tumultuous, highly sexual relationship that's somehow difficult for both parties involved and yet feels like a deep transformation and personal growth. A relationship that is smooth and steady makes him feel like it's not true love. He said he feels like true love should make you feel on the edge of life and death, every nerve bare. I relate so hard, with my Scorpio stellium, Venus-Uranus exact aspect, and Uranus ruling my 8th house. IP: Logged |

I haven't read all of the thread yet, but I have 8th house venus in Pisces and the most obvious trait is I attract a lot of Scorpio men lol It opposes mars so it's conflicted, so I attract a lot of Scorpio men who give me problems hahaha!Eta: Ok, so I went back and read the thread and I'll agree that men do spend their money on me. With a couple of the relationships I've had with Scorpio men they've taken care of me and I didn't have to work. Which makes total sense as my Mars in the the second house. So I'd say these men will do it for me, but since my Venus opposes Mars they may resent it? I'm just guessing at this point. I think AscTaurus's description is great! IP: Logged |

I relate so much to this venus in pisces in the 8th. I become so damn intense and obsessive and i feel like my soul is suffocating if that person refuses to connect with me deeply and be with me, once i have them i lose alot of that so i create drama to get that intense near soul death emotion. Yes i am crazy lol. Regarding money, a guy bought me a 195 dollars anne klein watch to give me on our first date for my 17th birthday loool. IP: Logged |

8th house rules "endings", the partner's resources,sexual intimacy,death etc. Taurus /Venus on the 8th house cusp are the same; the the typical reading of 8th house cusp Taurus applies-as Venus is in its natural sign in Taurus. So,from an "endings" point of view,it could mean; -loss of property -loss of self-worth -loss of beauty/"feeling" beautiful -loss of social life -loss of partner through death or separation -loss of wealth -loss of money -loss of attraction to partner or vice versa -loss of creativity. -loss of spirituality These losses of what or values and relationships(Venus) suggest that one must redefine what those things are for themselves. The 8th house is the house of redefining something to its most deep level. So even in the "loss of beauty", one may not necessarily lose ones beauty in the literal sense(if you are concerned LOL), but one may become less interested in conventional beauty standards,conforming to set attractions and even evaluating themselves on how aligned they are to "beauty" requirements. From the "partner's resources", it suggests;
-partner shares their resources with you willingly -partner is fair and equal in giving of money -partner willing to give you money -partner willing to spoil you -partner thinks you very valuable -partner puts you in their will/legacy -you gain a lot of monetary resources after marriage -your self-worth increases after marriage. In as far as sexual intimacy is concerned;
-you prefer equal give/take in bed -you like sex to be "beautiful" -you may have been married your partner because of sexual compatibility. -sex is very sensual. -sex that satisfies both parties is important. - smelling good/looking good arouses you. In as far as "death" is concerned; -a peaceful death -death through overindulgence -death through a partner -death through heartache or heartbreak. -death through dispute with partner. -death as a result of material possessions. The list of all the above is not exhausted.
