As you can imagine, the extreme differences between these two aspects, coupled with her Mercury falling in the sign of Leo, has made her just short of bipolar. She's been histrionic since I was a child. She's also always had very eccentric thoughts she finds amusing or hilarious and 1/2 the time no one else does [because it's so weird it makes you uncomfortable, not because it's just a bad joke]. Then on the other 1/2 she's clinically depressed.

Her mental disorders are very severe... she's even admitted to it since despite the insanity the Saturn influence does give her some scope of reality just as I have the same, Mercury trine Saturn [I inherited it from her, thankfully my Merc is not as bad]. For me personally, a Merc Scorpio person, I just can't stand the way she thinks and communicates. It drives me INSANE!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. People who have Mercury/Uranus harsh aspects commonly found to have mental disorder.

It's not easy having the harsh aspect. It's crazy.

This is eerily accurate. And I might as well roll with the self-congratulatory trend and say: yes, I am indeed incredibly intelligent. (And particularly susceptible to wordplay.)

Ahah. Easy aspect. Congratulations.

How's your mental health?

To me, mental health is more about emotions. For example, antidepressants are prescribed for people who have emotional issues driving negative thinking patterns.

As a Cap sun, I have a pretty tight handle on my emotions. They don't interfere with my thinking to the point of driving me crazy; my thinking is geared more towards problem-solving and entertainment.

My Mercury gets some ideas that others might consider whacked out, but I prefer to think of these as "innovative and imaginative."

I agree with that. I have Cap Moon. But still, not all the time I have a 'tight' handle on my emotions. I'm not as emotionally and mentally strong as I appear to be or as other people think I am.
Hello, Mercury in PISCES.

When I think I should let it out, I don't let others see it. I momentarily cry alone if I feel like I should as it makes me feel normal. lol.
After that, I'd be back to my crazy self again, thinking of ways to preoccupy myself.

I have H3 Uranus and I can confess to a quite a few traits listed in op

The hallmark of Mercury/Uranus is 0 focus if not interested in the subject fully. You'll find your trail of thought going back to the matter of your inquiry.

Thank you for your compassion Soulstress.

No one in our family really understands the way her mind works. She is a beyond eccentric individual who as I said makes jokes out of uncomfortable topics, never knows when to stop talking, and talks about inappropriate things at inappropriate times, and then withdraws [Scorpio Uranus] and broods or explodes [Mercury Leo] if you don't do what she wants/talks about what she wants to.

The only reason she isn't more out of control is Merc-Saturn but that also makes her mental problems worse.

I can't say I hate her though. I'm going thru a spiritual transformation and refuse to hate people to the core ever again. Can any of us say we're perfect? I have Mercury in the 11th square Mars in the 8th, and trine Saturn. I've had suicidal thoughts for years and sometimes talked of them out loud in despair and had depressive issues that have really hurt people around me... I've come to see each of us is human and despite how it can make my blood boil I won't let it get to the point of hate. It just isn't worth my time anymore. She's someone I just know I can't live with for much longer.

Mine is Mercury conjunct Uranus on the ascendant and it has not caused me problems that I can tell. It also conjuncts Jupiter. As a matter of fact, I like it.

Yes and no it still makes me a bit scatter brained espcially if I forget something then I am kinda flapping around to finish whatever I was doing in the most ungraceful fashion. Too much mercurial energy going on in my chart.

Yeah, Mercury is one of my top two dominant planets (Moon & Venus in Gemini) sort of run rampant throughout my chart.
