The most tatted celebs all have Uranus aspecting there major planets. For anyone who has or knows someone with tattoos, are there strong ties to Uranus?Kat Von D (Venus sextile Uranus exact)

I don't have the exact sextile between Venus and Uranus but I do have a lot of Uranian emphasis in my chart with a conjunction to the asc, Mercury and Jupiter, trine to the moon, sextile to Venus (none exact for exactness I have the Moon and Neptune opp) and I have absolutely NO tats. I am unique enough with out them 
Uranus has stamped me with it's own brand of uniqueness I don't require any tattoos but if it's your thing, cool.IP: Logged |

Uranus is my second most dominent planet.
I really dislike tattoos.
Although I can appreciate the artistry, especially if the art is well done. But most of the tattoos I see on people are so so.
I do find Genest very compelling.
I guess I'm not into random/cheaply made tattoos.

Tattoos can be both a Uranus and Neptune thing. I have Moon trine Uranus and Moon trine Neptune. I love tattoos but couldn't see myself committing to full body ones as the artists above (sans Lady Gaga). I have Moon 11H trine both Uranus and Neptune 7H. Looking back at there charts I did notice a few neptune aspects, but why automatically discount Uranus? I'm not saying that Uranus determines whether someone is going to get a tattoo or not. Everyone has free will Just stating the fact that many celebs I've seen with not just 1 ...or a couple... but several tattoos contain Uranus aspecting there personal planets. IP: Logged |

The only thing I don't like is when they are done badly. When they look colorful and bright, I think they look awesome. I don't like the way they look on someone after twenty years. I see pics of people who got them in the eighties and a lot of times they look awful now. Guess they need a lot of maintaining. Takes a lot of money and research to get a good tat and keep it looking nice.IP: Logged |

I think it depends on *why* you got the tats that determines what they're ruled by.I think for people who got them just for their own pleasure because they think they're nice-looking, that would be Venus. For someone who wanted to jump on a bandwagon and be a part of a trend, it's probably something like Saturn - status, wanting to 'belong'. For people who got them because they have a meaning behind them or personal significance, I want to say Pluto or the Moon, for the emotional component. I think in the early decades of tattooing, back when it was actually still controversial, it probably was the domain of Uranus, but not so much anymore, because they're pretty mainstream now. Having said that - it's always struck as comical in a weird way when some people look down their huge noses at those who do have tattoos, insisting that everyone who has any does it to be a part of a trend, and then declaring that their own lack of tattoos somehow makes them special. I find that hilarious as hell because they really aren't that different from the folks who go out and mindlessly get tattoos because they think it makes them look 'edgy'. It's that same silly thing motivating both sides of that - the desire to try and stick out - thing is, they just pick different routes to try to get to the same destination, which is "LOOK AT ME! AREN'T I SPECIAL?!". So the condescension and self-righteousness always strikes me as incredibly hypocritical and ludicrous. Which camp do I fall in in the whole tattoo debate? The Moon-Pluto Tattoo camp. After my mom died, I got her name tattooed on my shoulder blade, in her handwriting. I wanna get one more tattoo, on my inner left wrist - "Love", written in her handwriting. Although I've toyed around with the idea of getting a cross tattoo somewhere. Probably on my left side too. There's a reason for this - people into dark magic and the occult in a negative sense are referred to as being on the left-hand path. The left side is supposed to be associated with Satan and all things negative and dark. Which is why I want to have things that embody the exact opposite of those, tattooed on that side, just to **** the Devil off.   As a slight aside - since people are posting celeb tattoo pics, my favorite is probably Freja Beha; I love her tattoos (barring the gun one) :

Rihanna has about 19 tattoos so I think she qualifies, since her birth time is unknown her sun and moon's degrees would shift slightly but she does have :Sun Sextile Uranus

It does seem Plutonian in some ways but I can understand why it would be Neptunian because this involves ink being placed in the skin.I would only get a tat if I could get the best money could buy, otherwise I would wait until I could, not get one just because I want one and would settle for any tat. I prefer color tattoos also.
I dated this guy with this unfinished bright red coy fish on his leg. It bugged the **** out of me. He was so attractive otherwise. I got like paint and finished it for him one day because it irritated me so so so much. Thats sounds very neurotic I know... IP: Logged |

Edited to add:
3d trine to my Sun
4d square my Mars
2d sextile my SaturnNo tattoos, though I do wear multicolored toe socks No piercings, either - well, none that have survived, anyway. I had my ears pierced when I was twelve, took them out because they annoyed me, and the holes grew shut.
I hate to think what'd happen to a tattoo if I got one o_o

Oh definitely, not just about the skin but the overall style  I'm with ya, I got piercings at a young age and wanted to get them closed. If it weren't for my love for cute lil stud earrings they would be lol  IP: Logged |

Uranus trines my sun and mercury and is opposite my moon.I only have one tattoo myself but I have a serious love of tattoos on men. It's my "fetish" you could say. It would be hard for me to find a man attractive if he didn't have ink. IP: Logged |

Have Venus trine Uranus in my natal chart, and have always admired people with body art, their not afraid to show the world their personality. I thought about getting some tattoos, but so many people have told me I dont have the look of a person who should have them. Which is sort of true, I do have an innocent prudish look to me. I do have some piercings that I am proud of, and think they would look complete with a tattoo. Mabe one of these days I will say what the f**k to what everyone else thinks. In the mean time I am just going to have to envy one of my coworkers who has a beautiful Ganesha tattoo on her arm.Also have Uranus in 5th house, if that counts... IP: Logged |
