I have it, but I don't think I ever fought with lovely people.. But there have definitely been power struggles. I think the Pluto means he has to 'die' to transform. And he'll have to learn everything the hard way. There's no easy way out of this one I'm sorry to tell you. We really have intense lives simply because we make a ton of mistakes in how we channel our energy. But no advice is going to help unless he decides. Which is the case with everyone really. And there is a real need to learn from experience with this placement because Mars is 'doing'. So be prepared! Just make sure he knows how you feel about his fighting so he has a reason to reflect on his actions.

I have Mars conjunct Pluto in Scorpio. But I'm not an angry person at all, I'm very peace-oriented and have no tolerance for tension and negativity. I do have a lot of energy that needs an outlet, however. Working out to burn off all that energy is essential to my emotional health.

I think some less self-aware people with Mars/Pluto aspects don't know how to channel their energy and consequently go into rages for no real reason. Mars/Pluto aspects aren't inherently negative, they just supply a lot of energy. How we channel that energy is up to us. I feel like people with hard Mars/Pluto aspects (i.e. the square) probably have a more difficult time learning how to the channel their energy positively, although it's not impossible.
