Hi, When interpreting a chart do you look at the 29th degree? Do you think it is karmic and/or most urgent lessons that you should learn are there? I have a 29th Jupiter in 12th for example. No idea how this works. Rather new to astrology. For who's interested, this is what I found so far: http://www.medicalastrology.medicinegarden.com/2010/11/the- dilemma-of-the-29th-degree-thors-hammer-or-a-cornucopia/ And: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-13320.html And old thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006363.html Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks IP: Logged |

I just heard it is much more intense... while others say it acts more like the next sign but I think it really depends on the sign its in to me. If it is close to a sign that may amplify it in a different way, that is just my opinion. IP: Logged |

The traits of the planet itself, not really the sign it's in, are particularly strong and forthcoming in the personality, I've noticed.IP: Logged |

I would say the planet's energy is quite prominent and "strong" = it's been accumulating since the planet entered the sign and now it's on full force.I don't think it has any flavour of the next sign, no. If you feel like that planet "behaves" like the next sign, it's probably due to progressions (cause that planet entered the next sign while you were only 1 year old or so). There can be a sense of urgency, indeed. Like you readily express the energies or on the contrary, have a hard time expressing them at all.. kinda like an all or nothing attitude associated with that planet. Now, if it's karmic or not, I don't know; I think pretty much everything is 'karmic'.
All I know is that it's usually hard to have tight aspects to a planet at 29° in synastry, rofl. It's quite rare to find a planet at the 29° degree in a natal chart.. just like the 0°.

quote: I recently read somewhere that - in the natal chart at least - attention should be paid to any planet or house cusp (the latter of which would involve two opposite houses) which is at 29 degrees. Anything at 29 deg is an issue (or a characteristic, or an area of life) requiring particular attention in this lifetime. The reason for this `attention' could be that maybe one's soul is in dire attention of this potential for growth, or else maybe this area of life has been worked upon for many incarnations, and it's now time something was done about it................. I see 29 deg planets and cusps as being a bit like the ironing........... OK to put off for a few weeks, maybe even a month or two, but eventually it piles up, and you just can't ignore it any more!!Both my adult sons have their natal moons at 29 deg in Pisces. Both are extremely sensitive, but in different ways, and both have had a lot to deal with in their lives. They've each wanted to ignore the obvious, but have had to face some hard truths, and have become better men as a result.
What this lady said seems very accurate in my case. I am a procrastinator, not just in daily life but in an evolutionary/soul growth kind of way. Had to reach rock bottom a few times to wake up. Moon 29 deg 05 Sagittarius Neptune 29 deg 13 Sagittarius [btw, this is the 30th degree of a sign, not the 29th] IP: Logged |

My 10H Mars at 29* Leo rx is in a same-degree conj with my NN (direct).I can be very Leonine (but also have a 5H Sun), but also...not. It is an all-or-nothing thing, a bit frustrated and amplified, I think, by the direction and by the NN conj. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

I always checked a chart for critical degrees, but I never heard of the 0 or 29th degree thing. Here is a good article: http://www.cafeastrology.com/criticaldegrees.html IP: Logged |

I have a Virgo ascendant in the 29 degree. I feel like I kind of don't know whether I want to be a social butterfly like Libra Rising or just keep to my self. IP: Logged |

Yeah....you're talking to a person with moon square Saturn quote: If a natal planet is found at 29 degrees of any sign, also known as the Anaretic degree, there can be some real issues with decision-making in that part of the personality represented by the energies of the planet.
Cool! As if a Libra moon itself wasn't indecisive enough ------------------ Do you have some chocolate? IP: Logged |
