Natal Venus conjunct Saturn. I's got it. I's hate it.

Most interpretations and astrologer's experiences with this aspect that I've read say people with this aspect can expect two main things:

1) to have very refined, highly discriminating aesthetics and tastes regarding art and beauty

2) a yearning to truly fall in love, but feel they never have and probably never will

My V-S conjunction is my 9th house. Amor is also conjunct it, and I have Uranus trining plus Jupiter and Neptune opposing. I have always have really discriminating tastes, especially with music and anything visual--from clothing to interior design to painting. My tastes can be a bit quirky and often very cerebral as well. I love graph paper--it's so neat and orderly and clean. LOL.

I also feel like I've never truly been in love with someone. Most of my attractions barely get past the infatuation stage. Harldy ever are my feelings reciprocated--usually I'm far more infatuated with him than he with me. At this point in my life, I despair of ever falling in love with someone who's falling in love with me. I just don't think it will happen. And if I can't be with someone who doesn't love me back, I might as well be alone. So I just put a chipper Gemini smile on my face and pretend like passing crushes are all I want--since it's all I hope for nowadays.

So who else is a member of the Venus conjunct Saturn Lonely Hearts Club? Please, come and commiserate with me.

Lovely description of what a Venus/Saturn conjunction is like!

I do not have this particular aspect in my natal chart, however, I have the square between these two. It causes depressive tendencies.

I have a hard time being in love, too, and an even harder time articulating why that is. I just feel out of sync with my environment. It sounds bad, I just don't jive with the people around me, hence, I do not feel like I am in love with anyone or do I feel affection for them. With me, it's more about not being able to relate. I feel totally out of my element. I feel too cultured for this place.

Don't want to sound like a snob but that's how I feel.

Well, in the Venus-Saturn Lonely Hearts Club, you can be forgiven any snobbish tendencies.

I have often been accused of thinking I deserve better, of having "champagne tastes" and for trying to play "outside my league" with guys. I've been told over and over I should "settle". Nothing is more wounding to me. It's like they're cutting into my very life essence to say I don't deserve the beauty I yearn for.

This is why I refuse to go on blind dates anymore. The guys people would set me up with--ugh. It's distressing to even think about. It's not that they were bad people. I just felt so far out of my element--too cultured or maybe I just cared more about culture. Either way, they were so DULL, it was depressing. And these are the kinds of guys people think I should "settle" for? Passionless, bloodless types? Why should I settle for that?

I need to believe in the things and people I choose to love. If I choose to listen to music, it needs to be really good music--be it an excellent example of its genre or just superbly crafted and composed. It has to appeal to my passions, you know?

Same with people. They need have a passion for beauty too or I can't connect with them. I feel--like you do--out of my element, like an alien. Foreign. I don't relate. It's like I am seeing the world with radically different eyes than anyone else. I can come across as snobby to many people, but I can't help how I feel. If you're a dull person who cares nothing about beauty, being around you will make me feel like my soul is dying. Sorry.

I need beauty, passion, the Real Stuff, in my life. If I need to be alone to find it, if I cannot find a partner who shares that passion, then so be it. I'll be alone. It's better than letting my soul starve just so I can hang around people I don't connect with.

I've got the trine and yet, I am still in the lonely hearts club. That is actually pretty much the only Saturn contact in my chart. Venus-Saturn contacts probably has that power, huh?

Same here!

Aww guys, we can all be lonely together - that way, we won't be as lonely as before

I know two girls with the conjunction.
One has it in Aquarius, she seems very aloof and hasn't had much luck in the love department, but I think she's really cool. I like her but it's like she has a barrier that's hard to cross. Her conjunction is in the 11th.

The other one, I haven't met personally but I know her from the Internet. Conjunction in Pisces, but she's an Aries with Leo Moon, so quite the drama queen! I do think she feels lonely often but she's popular and outspoken. Definitely has an "ice queen" vibe going on, though.

So.. that makes me think: maybe you guys act aloof and distant and (unknowingly?) send some "cold" vibes? and people pick up on that and find it hard to approach you.

Just a thought, please don't throw rocks at me!

probably Doux, but in my case, I'm more like the "friendzoned" type of girl, you know? I haven't had much luck in that department. I'm friends with everyone, I get along with guys so well, but I think that's what makes me fall into the "pals" category. Guys seem so comfortable with me that they view me as one of them. Or, maybe I have too much testosterone going on

Venus in my 4th trines my Saturn in the 8th.. and guess where my Saturn is: it's in Aquarius On top of that, my 8th house cusp is in Cappy, 4th house is in Libra. Both of them (Saturn, in particular) are VERY domicile where they are. I don't know, maybe I'll get married in my 40's to a guy who's twice my age.. dunno.

I know someone with this aspect who also has a Capricorn moon, and they are indeed very lonely. I wish I could help but this aspect (and probably other things not astrologically related) makes this person a lot of work.

Lunae,

Yeah I know what you mean.
I think I have the same problem!
But sometimes I can be hard to approach, I know that. When I'm in a bad mood, no one dares talking to me rofl.

Cherry,

I don't think it's quite the same thing..
I have two aunts with Saturn in the 7th and one of them got married super early (and is still happily married to the same person!) while the other married real late and it's not a very fortunate marriage..

I can see how that would make someone feel lonely though.

Saturn restricts whatever it touches so obviously combined with Venus or 7th house.. ahem.

The way I see it, maybe this placement makes one an idealist.. well not the Neptune kind of idealism, but because both Venus and Saturn strives to for perfection (albeit in different ways), this placement will sort of ground us, preventing us from hooking up with the 'wrong' guys (by wrong, I mean those whom we feel that won't last, gives us heartaches and the like). In a way, it's idealistic because Venus and Saturn makes us want to find the 'perfect' one, but then we have to 'work' through all the loneliness to find the right path. Maybe this Venus-Saturn thing has something to teach us, Saturn being the great disciplinarian and all.

^ Oh, absolutely. I definitely agree.

I also have Venus conjunct Jupiter so I'm definitely an idealist.

I've realised, to my surprise, that I can move on quite easily if I see that things are just not the way I want them to be. Which is pretty awesome, I wasn't like that before (Scorp stellium wouldn't let go for ages). Maybe it's my Gemini ascendant, but whoa, I hope it lasts lol. I don't wanna spend my time crying over someone/something that's just not working.

So..

It can be a very useful aspect.
Can give the right amount of detachment/coolness to see what works and what doesn't and do the necessary to "achieve" that something we want!

I don't believe in the "relationships need work" thing though. Been reading about sprituality a lot and, no thanks. I'd rather find someone and click right away and then work out some problems as they arise later on than have to deal with a bunch of difficulties right from the start. Cause that's never a good sign.

My, don't we have such similar placements? I have a Sun-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio (if you count that as a stellium) and a Gemini ascendant.

And yes, I move on pretty quickly too. I guess Venus-Saturn also makes us more mature in handling heartbreaks.

Yeah, I have the same placements; but they're not conjunct. I think our charts are pretty similar! Which is cool. ELove has a similar chart to ours, too.

Well, my early experiences were anything but a piece of cake lol. I used to take things so seriously that I literally drove myself crazy. I guess I've matured now, and see things from a bigger perspective. Hopefully I'm moving to my Sag NN and taking things more lightly/with philosophy

Yeah, same here! I used to mope and obsess over my crushes, which were all unreciprocated, by the way. Over time I've learned to just go with the flow and learn whatever I can from those experiences and from the experiences of others.

Now that we speak of NN's, I have mine in Capricorn in the 7th (the irony). Probably I will marry in my 40's to a more mature, fine-living kind of man

Mine is in the 7th toooo!
It's right on my DSC but technically in the 6th, and I can relate to both descriptions, which means I kinda have a double goal in life, yay!...

Oh man, the obsessing for me is always for someone who's got Pluto connected to a personal planet in some way, especially a Venus/Pluto type. It awakens my own Plutonian side and eww it gets ugly very quickly! So I force myself to stay away from these connections even though it's hard because the attraction is intense. I feel like it's a hinderance to my ultimate goal, which is a Jupiterian/Venusian love

I know, right? I had a Venus-Pluto square with one of my guy friends. I was in love with him for 4 years (imagine that). I was pretty much obsessed with the feeling for half of the time I was in love with him. Good thing I opened my eyes! That wasn't such a pleasant experience, but I learned from it.

EDIT: yeah, we got carried away. a bit. LOL. Ehem. Returning to the topic..

My boyfriend has this but in the 10th house. Hes a career man. Im proud of him. His bosses love him.

In synastry his saturn conjuncts my sun in the 11th house.

This is accurate:

Saturn in a partner's eleventh house:

When your Saturn is in you romantic partner's eleventh house, he or she is likely to question the practicality of your involvement in social groups, political movements, or humanitarian organizations. You may feel that your partner expects too much from you. When your Saturn is in your relationship partner’s eleventh house, you may feel that you need to restrict your combined social efforts in order to adopt a reasonable plan for gradual change rather than rushing here and there aimlessly.

I sometimes say yes daddy. Bossy man when it comes to 11th house matters. Sheesh.

I have this aspect in Pisces in the 11th house. It's not that I've never been in love, I have. I still love this person very much, more than I could ever love anyone. The thing is people became involved and things grew very sour. I know he still loves me, and just yesterday I told my friend me and him broke up, ad she was all like oh you guys are going to get back together.

I wish that was so true.

But we can't be together in this lifetime, I know that now.I hope he waits for me.

As a V-S Conjunt-y, I feel like I am very picky in what I find to be beautiful. I love the look of a soul in what I see. What I find beautiful most people won't agree with maybe. My venus though is known to find the beauty in everything and I do see myself being open to almost everything, but there are tings that I find to be more pleasing.

In a relationship I yearn to love, to be in love and for someone to feel the same. I lost that just this week and I am doing the best I can, but I know, NO ONE will be just like the man I love.

Hey I just wanted to say

VENUS SATURN INITSELF HAS LESS IMPACT THAN THEY SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the square (orb of 5) but I have sh*tloads to make up for it. Such as a grand tribe btw Venus, Pluto and Asc which pretty much cancels it out. And Venus conj mars conj Psyche

I have met conj, square and opp people who had nothing to compensate with and yes they were a sad sight, but I refuse to be compared to them. It's just that it's very rare that there isn't a harmonious aspect to rely on to deal with this

And another word of warning to everyone: stop reading that negative crap late bloomers write in their blogs. They have no sex, so that energy has to go to blogs and so they post accounts of their experience w Venus Saturn, they use "we" instead of "I" because its easier knowing they are not the only aberration! But no one is obliged to be like them! And that "we" doesn't have to include you or anyone. And don't read Liz Greene either, she's too negative.

I love my body and I don't withhold my feelings, I express love alright, I channel it so others come for it when no one even noticed them. This aspect just doesn't play itself out in my life. Whatever problems I have had stemmed from Neptune conj dsc, not Venus Saturn

I don't think bossiness would have to do with Venus/Saturn but who knows..

ahaha andstuff, cool post, you sure you're not overcompensating there?

Quite truthfully though, nothing is set in stone.. but it can be hard for Venus/Saturn people to find love. Ya just can't ignore that.

But fortunately, we all have some very good transits/progressions sometimes which are good opportunities to find love/feel romance!
