How many of you LL users have this aspect? How do you experience it? How many of you relate to all listed below: Verbal charm, diplomacy and eloquence. Usually soft spoken. • Ability to gently persuade. • Poetic and flowery writing ability (many novelists and poets are born with this). • Avoid being just a smooth talker or a con artist even though it will be very easy for you to do so. • Humor especially if Mercury is in Air signs i.e. Libra, Gemini or Aquarius or Fire signs i.e. Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. • Not good for hard sciences but excellent for art and literature. • Excellent for acting and music. • Sales ability especially a talent for customer relations. • Beautiful voice and singing ability. • Graphic arts and cartooning. • Teaching of art and drama. • Sentimental talk if Mercury was in Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces). http://www.astrotrends.net/newsletters/your-innate-talents-and-liabilities/mercury-venus I don't relate to one of two, I'm particularly good at hard sciences.Never took an art class in my whole life, although I love literature, and art as hobbies. I love sentimental talk but I don't like sentimental movies much, my merc is in Leo. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Libra probably gives some of the same traits. It's probably good for charming people by knowing just what to say (Venus), but also the shadow side of the aspect is probably a tendency towards superficiality and being frivolous. The arts is more Neptune than Venus - Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, also - so I think Mercury-Venus would lean more towards an appreciation of the arts, than any actual artistic talent/ability in the native, which is probably more Mercury-Neptune or Venus-Neptune. Aspects to Saturn or Uranus? Mars, Pluto maybe? Neptune is thought to have a hand in delicate mathematics, like Calculus. Mercury/Venus/Saturn/Neptune might work together to produce someone who is a brilliant physicist. I like to think in terms of many planets connected through aspects to produce the really profound people who experience success and possible fame. IP: Logged |

With the Saturn emphasis seems like you would be more comfortable with science in general. I thought you were going to tell me you can't stand it, lol. Sometimes that happens. IP: Logged |

My venus/mercury conjunction is opposite moon/neptune, square saturn and square mars/uranus.I relate to most of the above; however my acting ability is highly dubious and I am a useless singer. My speaking voice is soft. I am fairly good at hard sciences, as well as writing, art and literature. IP: Logged |

Some charts are very versatile and yours could be one. You like to read a lot, I remember you saying. Do you like classical literature or just modern fiction/best sellers or non fictional text book types that tell you how to do things? Some people love reading fiction and find classical literature, like the kind they read in school, very dull. I love classical literature, it has always been my favorite class. I also love stories, myths, Joseph Campbell, what people think of as Classics or Humanities.IP: Logged |

It must be because of your neptune ya? I just love reading, neptune trine my leo stellium like you know,I love classical literature too. When we had to choose subjects at school, I'd always have a few inconsistencies with my time table since I was on the science side and I also took english and french literature.I remember I was the only one among the science geeks to have taken literature TBH with you, I never used to revise my literature books for exams but will almost always get the highest marks. I even got a first prize once But I never thought about making it a career. I love fiction/bestsellers, thrillers, spy books, I don't sentimental romantic books like Daniel Steel don't interest me at all. I don't read non-fiction books. I tried once, but I don't feel the pull. I like when a book pulls me in the story, I love this neptunian energy I feel when I read my books. IP: Logged |

Yeah I know what you mean about the Neptune pull. I can get totally absorbed. It's like getting into something to the point it's like you are a part of it and there. I have experienced this. It even extends to learning, I just absorb info, kind of like osmosis. I really love the Neptune feeling! It's the most sublime, relaxing, peaceful sensation ever. People who have experienced it know exactly what I am talking about. It can be really spacey, too. I space out on a regular basis to get in touch with that feeling. It must be what people reach for when they meditate but some people, like me, can get there in such an effortless way. I don't like reading romances either, they are boring. IP: Logged |

I think ALL of this applies to me... I've an English degree in literature, I currently teach English to elementary students in South Korea (NN in Pisces 9H), love reading/writing, good writer when I aim to impress - either myself or others, can be soft-spoken, can be smooth, etc.

I have Mercury conjunct Venus in Scorpio between the 11th and 12th houses (Mercury in 12th, Venus in 11th) I am quite eloquent- very good at public speaking, writing, etc. But I wouldn't say I'm soft spoken. People always say I have a beautiful voice though- that it sounds "musical" I sing, that's probably my most pronounced talent along with my ability to write and "comedy" skills. I don't think it relates to my humor though. I think that's shown by other areas of my chart... (I've definitely got the Saturnine wit (Saturn conj AC) and with Jupiter in 3rd (Sag rising) square Uranus in 1st AND the asteroid Hilaritas exactly opposite Venus) I'm actually very good at the hard sciences though. I don't like art at all, I don't get the fascination with it. I'm much more scientifically inclined than interested in the Arts/Theatre/Drama scene. I think this is because I have Saturn conj. AC along with Uranus and Neptune in the 1st house. I tend to be quite a realist, although when I was younger I was immersed in acting and singing. While Neptune in the 1st is obviously my artistic side, I think it more inclines (now) to my passion for Chemistry. IP: Logged |

Tbh there is only a thin line between Arts and Sciences. While hard science requires objectivity and Art more subjectivity, I think a creative (side of the) brain is needed for both nonetheless.Anyway, yes this aspect is in my natal chart and it is also in Leo. I have been complimented numerous times for being articulate with a decent vocabulary, a friend nicknamed me Shakespeare. I am an art major... Someone mentioned Venus/Neptune or Mercury/Neptune as Art related. I find those in scientist/engineer charts too. I don't have Venus-Neptune but I do have Neptune in house 2 and Mercury inconjunct Neptune. I can't fully explain it's effect on my personality though or if it has any bearing on my interest in Arts. If anything, Mars-Neptune is more purely artistic imo. Mars rules tools and action, Neptune idealism and creativity, and I've observed it in many painters charts. . Jumping back to Mercury-Venus, I relate to most of those things you mentioned. I don't think I am persuasive but I know how to make people feel comfortable and can make an effort to please when I am in the mood. I used to have the ability to write well! I hardly ever write, not creatively at least. I can't act for spit. I think I can be overly dramatic, but not in a "natural" way suitable for theater arts. Also I can't sing good. Save for Saturn conjunct the cusp, 3rd house of my natal is weak and I literally have no Gemini energy, not counting asteroids. Finally I do have a slight interest in science, but maybe from a more naturalist view than objective data + research. At one point, I wanted to be the next crocodile hunter. Now my dream is to own a large farm.

Gemini Merc conj Venus My favorite aspect in my chart! I couldn't sing to save my life, but I do love the arts. I'm very communicative though. Everyone knows me as that girl who is always on her FB, Twitter, and forums like this. I write a lot less now, but I'm always up to date, always available for a chat. IP: Logged |

Music, not so much. :P I'm sooooo bad at instruments in not even funny. I was the only kid who failed music class, FREAKING RECORDERS.. I use to suck at maths when I was young but I tried and really did excel in high school. My calculus teacher was a such a giant prick thou, I was the only person who passed. This is me, too! The similarities are uncanny. The only difference between us in what you've mentioned is that I excelled in math, no matter the sub-division. But science has always been where my heart lay. I still remember the day that I learned you could "make a life and a living proving the things you hypthesized to be true" << what my 4th grade (9 years old) teacher told my entire class. Leo is my chart ruler and by-product of that, my Pisces Sun 'rules' me. (Netpune in cap) Neptune is my Sun's ruler. Pisces Sun & Merc. I confused my geometry teacher more than once when he taught us "proofs" (how equation A eventually equals equation F and you have to explain the steps to get from A-F) by finding steps that his teacher's manual didn't include. I single-handedly lowered the entire class' score on an assignment because I was the only person who didn't skip a process. I'm not always proud of my ability to analyze though :/ Sometimes, especially in relationships, it's much more of a hindrance than aid. quote: love fiction/bestsellers, thrillers, spy books, I don't sentimental romantic books like Daniel Steel don't interest me at all. Yes, yes, and again...Yes.Anything school/book learnt I excelled in. It was like I already knew what I needed to do before it was taught. I don't have Venus conjunct Mercury, though. They're about 12 degrees apart in different signs. Neptune, however, is my Sun/Mercury ruler, and in Capricorn. Saturn trines my Venus and ASC. I love science, math, art, music...language (i took 4 years of French and did better than most in English classes. I honestly can't tell which I favor most.) I think my Taurus Moon is what bestows my love of art/language just as equal to my love of science/math given by Sun conjunct Mercury under Neptune. My Netpune also parallels my Uranus, Mars, and Saturn (a bit wide w/Saturn at a little more than 2 degrees). I feel like (even only at 27) that I've wasted my life and time doing things I want rather than things I should IP: Logged |

I do it all-the-time When someone is boring me with the story of their lives, I space out right in front of them,in meetings at work I do it too.The funny thing is, I can zap out of it and even answer questions intelligently as if I was listening to them all the time, and get back into my space bubble with no problem No one would EVER know that I spaced out during most part of the meeting!

That's what I wanted to know too. Everyone says Venus is about the arts and stuff, but like you said I read too that a strong venus indicates a beautiful scientific mind. Someone mentioned mars with neptune. I have an exact square, I would listen to music and happily space out during animal autopsies and dissections.I would be among the first few ones who would finish on time. I believe venus-mars-mercury with neptune indeed gives a great scientific mind, toss in saturn in the mix. BTW I suck big time at instruments too. I tried playing the violin,I was so embarrassed cause I couldn't make my violin utter a sound. I gave up trying to learn! IP: Logged | |
