How does this principle apply to you? In people attracted romantically towards women, the Moon sign is supposed to show what kind of woman they are drawn too (most time subconsciously). The way it accomplishes this is the Moon will show what kind of relationship you had with your mother being raised, personally. I'll do me...Moon in Aquarius
My mother is high strung and demanding. She's a little bit smothering too, and has a martyr complex. Given these traits, I tend to be attracted to women who are free spirited and light. Under a demanding mother, I seek a woman who isn't demanding and who allows me lots of freedom.
(Disclaimer: what I've said doesn't mean I have a bad mother, she's very loving too and I love her! But those are traits that are defining in my view of her/her raising me.) Now this is assuming you're attracted to women in regards to relationships. If you're not...well, what kind of women are you drawn to friendship-wise? What kind of women give you a sense of family? So state your Moon Sign, describe your mother as she raised you, and describe what type of women you are drawn to! I'm a Cap Moon. My mom is.........errrrr.......difficult (Scorpio sun, moon, merc-Aries Rising) and hard and have a very fiery temperament!! I like Fire women as friends.

I’m an aries moon. My mother is a pisces sun/ascendant/venus, aries moon, a stellium in aquarius. She dislikes "impractical dreams" and considers them "folly", "signs of a weak mind". To me she’s controlling, very aggressive but at the same time, as cold as a bucket of icy water.
So I’m attracted to women who are warm and caring, who aren't overly critical, who respect my personal space, rights and decisions.

Moon in gemini, my mom is a gemini.She was the provider and my dad had his own business so I was raised by him, My mom was there as a parental figure. Supportive, but almost like what a father should be? My father was the overbearing mother. He has moon in the 4th house along with NN. I like independent or unconventional women. IP: Logged |

I have heard that a man with moon in the 12th will marry( get involved with in a serious way) a cruel woman. I have seen this play out with charts.------------------

Moon in Cancer conjunct MC. My mother was and still always a great supporter of me especially materially she is Cancer too god bless her.

My fiery (Asc, Moon, Venus, Mars) Taurus Sun mom was very hands off. My sister and I pretty much raised ourselves and each other. Although in her latter years, mom's become a bit of a 'smother' to myself and many of my cousins.My Cancer moon is in my 11th house. Cancerian women (and men for that matter) put me off in a big way. My Mom has her sun Virgo & moon in GeminiMy dad has his moon in Gemini I have my sun in Cancer & moon in Gemini My lover of 6 months has his Sun in Virgo & moon in Gemini His mother's sun is in Pisces & moon is in Virgo...dammit! haha My mother was kind of a distant maternal figure. I'm a Sun in Cancer so that's not a good thing. I prefer a lover who is intelligent and will lead me. My lover and I have compared stories from childhood relating to our mothers...and we have similar experiences. It's strange because our respective mothers are opposites in astrology. Mine is a Virgo, his is a Pisces. For example both of our mothers were very nitpicky. If I ever asked for something that I felt I deserved my mother would decline it just because I asked! My dads a Scorpio asc Libra Sun Cancer Moon My Guy is Scorpio asc, Scorpio Sun, Taurus Moon Things they have in common
They are both handy and will fix their vehicles themselves most of the time, and other things around the house. They are into hunting, up north life. They both like to hang out in the garage with the guys. Pretty Libertarian "I don't trust MOST politicians" views. They like cars. they like classic rock.
and I do like this quality in men. some things they don't have in common.
my guy doesn't care about sports teams.
my dad doesn't understand organic food! he thinks it's just a dumb label with a higher price.
My guy is very spiritual and meditates. My dad doesn't talk religion and spirituality at all. Though he does have the occasional mean nun stories since he went to catholic school from k-12.

Moon in CapricornMy mother is extremely professional. It was very important for us to be "perfect" on the outside. She demands perfection. She is organised and the companies she works for lean on her heavily. She is cold emotionally but is very insecure and fearful at the same time. I love my mother dearly but cannot be lovey dovey toward her because of this lack of affection. She is dependable and is always there in times of need financially, physically and mentally. I am attracted to females as friends or as crushes when I'm not in a relationship with a male. If I am not then I like females that are easy-going, laugh easily, don't mind if we're hanging out or if we have other things to do but would rather spend time chatting with me than most other things anyway. They have to have a backbone, stand up to me and basically be strong enough to take my straight-forward attitude. Even though i'm a straight female.. I have moon in Taurus.
My mother is a Gemini/Capricorn moon My big brother is engaged to a Gemini/Libra moon
He is a Capricorn/Libra moon/scorpio rising My sister is a Capricorn/Leo moon/Capricorn rising
Her fiance is a Cancer/Libra Moon/sagittarius rising My little brother is a Virgo/Pisces/Leo
His girlfriend is Leo/Virgo/Cancer I am Leo/Taurus/Scorpio
My boyfriend is Taurus/Taurus/Scorpio
i think we're attracted to our moon signs, but i don't think it has as much to do with mother by sign, perhaps by aspect.

Ive got Taurus moon 5 degrees in 12th house, uranus also squares my moon tightly.
My relationship with my mother is kinda complicated, i love her and all but i cant stand living with her as she compromises my freedom and tries to make my decisions for me, this might be age related to tough
btw i also have trouble saying i love you back when she says it but thats more of a personal issue as i have this with everyone but it's easier with a lover. Astrology wise i often find myself attracted to gils with a scorpio mars or moon. i dont know about others, but if i look at my own moon i find that it correlates, taurus is opposite to scorpio, but this might also be because i have 7th house in scorpio and pluto opposing ascendant from the 7th. ive been manipulated by three pisces women. their sun falls in my 12th house...not hating on pisces but these specific ones knew what to do to get to me...also were jealous of me getting attention from guys that they weren't. for some reason i opened up a competitive streak in those 3.pisces moons i love. my mom is a pisces moon conjunct my aqua moon but her mars and saturn are in my twelfth so there you go. she has venus in aries...feel like she likes to drain energy out of everyone. My moon is 2 degrees Capricorn, Square saturn...My mom...
Sun/merc in Aquarius
Venus in Capricorn
Moon and Mars in Scorpio
Pisces rising. She seems all sweet so then you open up to her and then if she gets uncomfortable or can't pay attention she slams you into the cold icy depths and leaves you there with no way out. We don't get along or even talk at this point. (I'm 33, I went through many periods of forgiveness and reopening for the same thing to happen over and over.) I am friends with warm, connected and forgiving people. Also most of my friends are Aquarians...Libras...and Cancer...also I do not have any close male friends. Only women.
