We have really hard water it's full of calcium, they extract it from wells. Do you have the same? It used to leave calcium deposits all over the place. It's gotten better, cones no longer form on faucets.IP: Logged |

No, I was a little confused about why you said "that's ignorant" I didn't know you are Indian and I didn't want to guess if you were Indian, that's steryotypical So I made a joke based on where your profile says you are from ------------------ I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

I care a lot about hygiene (being a Virgo and all) but I have a hard time with my appearance (I am terrible at putting outfits together) I stay with basic colors like tans, olives, whites, browns and some reds. I think it is because I have Venus square ascendant. I read this can cause someone to dress tacky. I admit, I have poor taste. I admire those Libras who can always put an outfit together. My three year old Libra Moon son has better taste than mommy lol IP: Logged |

You must be really sensitive to minerals. I am not that sensitive to them, they just leave deposits on faucets and the water has a chalkier taste. The deposits are nearly impossible to remove. The water no longer does this so I guess they soften it now. IP: Logged |

I'll be honest:When I'm home with no plans to go anywhere, I won't bathe at all. I've gotten better about dental hygiene as I have a nice smile, but I have a terrible sugar addiction and I need to care about my remaining teeth. I'll otherwise be totally unkempt and not a single damn will be given. This is typically on the weekends, or if I'm depressed. Uranus conj. ASC Neptune 1H (afflicted and aspected by every planet except Mars & sq IC/MC) NN/Chiron in Gemini 6H Venus 6H ruler (afflicted/aspected by every planet except Mars/Uranus & sq IC/MC) When Monday rolls around, or if I'm going out, I'm back on form (Libra MC). What's even funnier is that I highly enjoy long showers and taking baths. I abhor stale/foul breath, any sort of funny bodily odors, and I will shower/wash my hair daily especially in the warm months. Once, a co-worker told me he could "smell" my hair and I was so upset because I decided to skip my daily washing that particular day. IP: Logged |

I love for my hair to smell really good. One thing I love is to shampoo my hair and have my pillow contain the aroma the next day. People tell me my hair smells really good.IP: Logged |

Haha you mean you don't wear the same clothes you did all day to sleep in? Do you own pajamas? What about dryer sheets or are you one of those types that regard them as sins? IP: Logged |

I can relate to finding sweat kind of hot, when you're working outside or whatever (or at the gym, whatever works). My Neptune also likes water, so I tend to take a lot of hot baths.Too much sweat though, that's gross. And smelly. I also have Mars square Uranus, ha. Mars 6th, Uranus 4th. So when I'm at home I tend to be a bit more lazy about my hygiene, but not overboard. And I totally agree about chemicals. I don't use them, not even in my laundry detergent. I make pretty much everything myself, including my husband's cologne and my perfume. Shampoo and conditioner are harder, so I buy them from the health food/supplement store. I use the crystal deodorant, but I find that I have to reapply it periodically throughout the day. No allergies particularly, except autumn seasonal stuff from the trees. IP: Logged |

I can kinda get dirty at work. It depends on if I need to get in there and fix anything or not. lol I don't have pajamas truthfully. I have a bunch of old T-shirts and basketball shorts that I wear a lot of times. If I'm pretty clean it doesn't matter if I wear it or not. I'll use dryer sheets. I have a box and I'll use them up but I prefer it in the wash. It seems to work better I think. Or maybe I just need to throw in more than one sheet. (?) hahaha It's funny we're on here talking about laundry. Virgos in the house!!!! I'm not virgo sun, but still. It's in there. IP: Logged |

Hahahaa... I can see the differences here.Maybe it is Uranus/6th house interactions after all, eh? I couldn't care less about the sheets. We don't even use a cover sheet, because it just gets twisted up and thrown off the bed anyway. I never make the bed, and neither does my husband. (I've found that Sag AC folks can be a bit careless when it comes to throwing things around the house, making messes, etc. That would be my husband). I make my son's crib nice and snuggly and clean for him, but that's about it, ha. IP: Logged |

Oh good lord, laundry on here too?? I've been doing it all day! My Neptunian nature will let the laundry pile up, but if we're having company the Virgo moon takes over and cleans the entire house from top to bottom, ha. And I can't stand the little dirty things, like when the mirror in the bathroom gets water spots on it from washing/brushing teeth, or dirty counter tops/floors, or dirty cabinets. I clean those things out pretty regularly, but neglect other areas. Also, the bathroom HAS to be clean. IP: Logged |

Yup any hygiene topic is gonna have Virgo in it somewhere. I like liquid fabric softener in other people's laundry but it never seems to work the same in mine. Like with my neighbor, they had a clothes line and it made their clothing really nice and soft, with that ultra clean smell and it helped it dry on their clothes line without getting really funky and stiff in places like someone tossed it over a shower rod in the bathroom, like a used wash cloth. Whenever I use it in my loads, I can't even tell. I like using dryer sheets in fall/winter especially because the static electricity can be off the charts with Uranus conjunct the ascendant like it does I feel like a Tesla Coil sometimes. The static cling just drips off me and the dryer sheets work best with that. I guess I could use both and see if it works even better. On really clingy days, I have to rely on more than one dryer sheet. Anyway, I am sure you are really bored with this mundane stuff and it's only vaguely related to the topic. IP: Logged |

This is so ridiculous, but I'm absurdly not bored with talking about laundry, hahaha. Virgo moon, and the fact that my world seems to be dominated by effing laundry. I used to love fabric softener sheets, but when I went natural with everything I started using vinegar (it works). Unfortunately, you don't get that nice, clean, soapy smell from the laundry with the homemade stuff. It cleans the clothes, but I'm still working on my formula. Yes, I'm sure that we're probably boring the holy hell out of everyone on here devoid of Virgo placements. lol.

I was just thinking though. Which might be more on topic. Virgos obviously are known for being kind of clean/neat people. I'm sure other signs are somewhat also. But, do you think certain planets when placed in one of these signs (Virgo) cause certain kinds of cleanliness/hygiene? For example, I'm mostly concerned with things in close contact with me. Maybe my Venus Virgo? Heck, maybe aspects and such and I'm not very good with those. IP: Logged |

There were at one time quite a few people from Democratic Republic of Congo at my work as temp workers. I don't know if that's considered not first world but MAN were they clean freaks. They always dressed fantastic with color matched clothes, ironed and spotless. EVERY day. Some of my Asian born friends too. (Laos / Vietnam) Hahaha... I don't wash them all of the time or anything and it's not really paranoia. I just make an effort. Why not. IP: Logged |

Well yeah they're obviously use to a certain lifestyle. Not everyone from third world countries lacks access to clean sheets. Actually excessive cleanliness will be a trait of the upperclass from those countries.

Haha, I'm happy someone is enjoying all this laundry talk. One thing I absolutely love, it's one of my favorite things in the world, washing a blanket, putting it in the dryer (with dryer sheets in my case, it's not absolutely mandatory), getting it out while it's still really warm and snuggling up under it. Sooooo nice in winter especially, or fall. Anytime it's chilly out. I just love the fresh-from-the-dryer blanket when the weather is cold! It's one of my simple joys in life. IP: Logged |
