It's cool! I just recently moved here from San Diego which seems like a ghost town compared to LA

I agree, I think that the aspects AND the sign are important, as well as the planet and sign. My ex had Gemini Moon, but was afflicted by his Mars/Uranus/Pluto conj in 12th. Taurus Sun (again with the Taurus placements, hahah).

Oh wow, I just realized that his Waldemath BM is conjunct both his Vertex as well as his Eros, in his 6th house. There ya go.
