If you're using Astrodienst, then that is the hypothetical Hephaistos. When I was interested, I found he was in Gemini (no longer surprising, lol).------------------ And it was just getting interesting... IP: Logged |

Well I do that too, most the time, but every once in a while the Libran idea of justice emerges. It goes both ways, when people are nice I wanna be really nice in return, too. It's not just about punishing the wicked with wickedness hehe, it's also about returning the favor of their good nature. When a waitress or waiter is extra sweet, you want to give them a bigger tip, you know?

What does Vulcan represent?Ceres represents care and service, giving and receiving. Where your Ceres is placed shows what you wish to provide others, how you go about helping people, and how you interact with your environment. I have Ceres in Leo conjunct my Mars - I love making people laugh, I like to think of myself as a force to bring my more homebodied friends a social life, take them out, and I think entertainment is one of the best things I can provide others! I've noticed Virgos tend to love nature and often have plants in their houses. That would Ceres, I imagine, because you have to water and care for plants and in exchange, you get to enjoy their nature presence and aesthetic. @Sailor Gemini; I love reading your posts! Because you use different names, it's almost like your speaking another language and it's so fun!!
Vulcan represents your logical and critical thinking skills (I don't really know too much more about it, so I believe this is what it represents, but that sounds a lot like Virgo if you ask me, lol) Vulcan lays the foundation for Mercury basically. The Sun, Mercury and Vulcan all work together systematically in a way, since both Mercury and Vulcan are close to the Sun, so they play a crucial role in the personality's (Sun) manifestation. Oh, read my post about what I thought about the other possible rulers for Virgo like Ceres and Chiron... it's an interesting theory in my opinion IP: Logged |

I guess, but on mine it says "h55 Vulcan," not "Hephaistos." There's probably other names to find it by. Is the one you're talking about h55? Yeah not surprising at all, but mine was. It's 1 degree Libra and Retrograde, lol. It just couldn't be Virgo, could it? Lol. IP: Logged |

I've had some thoughts; Taurus: Aphrodite, 1 Dimitra, 3 Hera, hypothetical planet; I'll call it "Persefoni" Virgo: 1 Dimitra, 2 Pallas, 4 Hestia, 5 Astraia, hypothetical planet; oh, shall I say; Nidaba? What say you guys?------------------ And it was just getting interesting... IP: Logged |

Yup, it's conjunct my sun. Haha, wonder what it means? Vulcan was the lame craftsman and I feel kinda lost when it comes to crafting stuff. My grandmother was superb at it. If anyone is Vulcan, it's her. IP: Logged |

Ugh, you're gonna make me dig through the replies to find this Ceres/Chiron idea? quote: Mercurian Intellect: so I believe this is what it represents
Sounds like you're not even too sure what Vulcan represents! Logic and critical thinking is taking data and applying it. Data itself is Mercury. Hmmmm...and Vulcan is supposed to be between the Sun and Mercury? I'm having a hard time imagining how that works in the grand scheme of the solar system... The Sun is yourself and conscious interaction with the world Mercury is factual perception of the world Venus is subjective perception of the world Moon is subconscious interaction with the world And I could go on further, but it gets really grand. The personal planets are the easiest to understand in that sense. May I ask how you think Vulcan may fit between Mercury and the Sun? Considering it will orbit the Sun in astrology, it will have to somehow contribute to and hinge on the Sun's functions. I'm seriously entertaining the idea btw in case you think I don't buy it! I just have to challenge the idea considering it challenges what I believe in astrology so far. IP: Logged |

This reminds me, SSS...you consider Virgo the divine feminine, the only female representation in the zodiac. But then, Virgo is ruled by neutral Mercury? Mercury as a god is himself male. Just an observation. IP: Logged |

I've always read Hermes was polarity neutral. And sex has little to do with gender. Just my thoughts. ^_^ ------------------ And it was just getting interesting... IP: Logged |

The ruler isn't the actual sign. If you look at the other signs, most are not even human beings and yet they are ruled by male of female gods mostly male. Taurus is a bull (animal) and yet ruled by Aphrodite, a goddess. It doesn't have much to do with the actual symbol of the bull but Taurus IS the only bull in the entire zodiac, none of the other signs are and they cannot claim a bull as part of their constellation or they would be taking from Taurus.

Well I know what you mean about how it's between the Sun and Mercury. But I read it's really small and some people have saw it by accident, (I don't remember the details) but it's too dangerous to the eye if someone were to look into a telescope because the reflection of light from the Sun will damage your eyes severely. I posted it's function already. IP: Logged |

You posted four words on it, broskii! Get in depth! I have a Libra Mercury too and I'm all for short and sweet descriptions, less is more after all, but you're gonna need to do some talking! EDIT! Ceres even fits in with H6, which I will also ask you about after I explain. Ceres isn't only give and take with your surroundings or what services you wish to both provide and receive, it also shows how you wish to fit in with the world. H6 is commonly called the house of service, it's a mundane and local house, and Ceres operates here by showing the little niche you wish to live in! If H6 is jobs while H10 is career, Ceres is day-to-day activity while Saturn is lifelong goals. Ceres is a personal energy in that you are operating with others and she shows how you do so. Ceres represents how you want to fit in with your environment, the world. So, how does Vulcan work with H6? IP: Logged |

That is just Mythology, so it doesn't effect Mercury's rulership (co-rulership in my opinion) over Virgo IP: Logged |
