Lots of interesting ideas; coming from a Virgo Sun / AscHere's what I think: Mercury is not Virgos true ruler, it belongs to Gemini. However I believe that Mercury can be a Co-Ruler along with another planetary body. Not any asteroids, there weight simply wont fully balance the sign. Not Vulcan, the planet is still mythical! We can't use something that we dont know isthere or not. Virgo could possibly be balanced by an outer planet. It is the least earthiest of earth signs because its a mutable sign. Most virgos come out depending on their chart feeling like another element because of the mutable thing. I can even see pluto as a co ruling contender. We were at once with scorpio and the pluto persephone myth technically makes virgo queen of the underworld. Many virgo have dark sides and ive noticed alot of occulty people have some major placement in Virgo. Think about tim Burton, or the haunting of Connecticut old couple that started a demonology thing. Ed was a virgo. The queen of voodoo another Virgo. And a couple hindu spiritual masters. Virgo is a very dual sign the changing of seasons thw duality from light to dark a lot to do with tansformation, plutos trait. Also pluto gets the analytical nature more in tune when paired with mercury. Another contender might even be the moon. The mother goddess aspect thing. Even uranus more high intellect, virgos are introverts usually and go their own directions. IP: Logged |

Just because Vulcan is hypothesized, doesn't mean that it isn't the ruler. I believe it is and I'm waiting for it to be officially discovered and assigned to Virgo. How can Uranus be one? Virgo is practical. Uranus is about abstract ideas. Plus, Virgos aren't creative, and Uranus is about ideas that are ahead of it's time hence futuristic ideas. Virgos perfect the idea, but do not create it. The Moon is emotions, something Virgo tries to compartmentalize. Pluto made more sense, but that is definitely Scorpio's ruler. Outer planet as in another Solar System? That can't be, we use our Solar System for the main/significant points in Astrology. ------------------ I use Vulcan for Virgo's and Earth for Taurus's ruler. :D IP: Logged |

I'm getting tired of this bullWhile I doubt Virgo's true ruler is mercury VENUS has two sides Taurus has APHRODITE PANDEMOS, the sensual, indulgent side of APHRODITE we are more use to. Libra has APHRODITE URANIA, the Aphrodite that strives for harmony, balance, and social order and universal love amongst everyone. Libra is the AIR manfiestion of APHRODITE Taurus is the EARTH mafiestion of APHRODItE what sense would it make to have a MASCULINE sign to rule the both sides of Aphrodite? Really guys? Do you only say that because of astrologers strange infuatation with Libra? IP: Logged |

Taurus is very well more "feminine" than Libra, Libra is lovely and all but Taurus is sensual and plump and natural like the orginal image of Aphrodite. If you studied planetary people and their builds, Venusian people tend to have large feet and hands and very plump sensual bodies.. like TAURUS not LIBRA

No, it's because that's Mythology, not Astrology. Why is everyone going off what is in Mythology, geez, lol. Each planet should rule ONE sign. IP: Logged |

I'm Venusian (Venus dominant) and act very much like a Libra, not Taurus.

Anyway if that's the case, just use the Vedic planets, which are Sun - Saturn then, no need for other planets since they have no sign rulership. I see this in black and white, and this is simply how it is. IP: Logged |

okay son, why does Taurus have to be deprived of Aphrodite? And Astrology is based off of Mythology a bit in the first place. f'oh IP: Logged |

Exactly, if the person had planets in Taurus, they'd act Taurean.IP: Logged |

The planet venus its self is not that prominent, beside being in libra. It's not on an angle or heavily aspected. While I have venus conjunct asc, sun, moon, mercury I relate to taurus energy. besides libra and taurus are really similar, both can be lazy and placid loves beauty harmony and opulence... So you're saying Astrology is fake then? Since it's supposedly based off Mythology? They most likely created the characteristics of the gods and goddesess due to the Astrological influences they noticed. And what do u mean Taurus is deprived of Venus? Each planet has it's strength and weaknesses. Taurus will have it's own planet, so there will be no deprivation on either side. IP: Logged |

My Venus is in Libra in the 2nd House, how is that not prominent? LOL. My primary weakness is that I am too romantic and suffer because of that. 2nd house is taurus, which i do not relate to. (at least i don't notice) and my practical yet intellectual nature is the virgo in me I wish my Venus wasn't prominent. IP: Logged |

Taurus isn't lazy like Libra, but rather laid back and slow in how they relate with the world.

You seem overly confrontational and a know it all attitude.. not very Venusian..Venus is more laid back and sweeter.. like an Earth Mother.. "Earth Mother" is not what comes to mind when I think of Libra IP: Logged |
