What the heck is the difference. I read that the Solar Eclipse symbolizes endings while the Lunar Eclipse symbolizes endings. What? That doesn't even make sense! Help. IP: Logged |

Ouch!Shouldn't there be a beginning in there somewhere? What is your question regarding Eclipses? Do you have your chart up somewhere? IP: Logged |

There are two sets of Eclipses every year, falling six months apart. There is normally a Solar and a Lunar together. Sometimes, when things are really lined up there are three, like this year. This is on the North Node, the ones in Taurus were on the South Node. This is the Taurus/Scorpio shift. The Nodal Point moves backwards as a normal case. So the first Eclipse in this set was Libra/Aries. It's moving on. That one was Lunar, the next one will be Solar. That means the Moon will be between us and the Sun. This will also have Saturn and Retrograde Mercury involved. Of course the North Node. So Scorpio early and late are feeling it. This one is very well-aspected. The same Eclipses repeat every nineteen years.

The way I understand eclipses, solar eclipses tend to symbolize new beginning, while lunar eclipses tend to symbolize things coming to a head, and possibly endings. However, the particular aspects at play during an eclipse, (other planets aspecting it positively or negatively) can alter or magnify the original meaning. Both can symbolize ending, because, for something new to start, oftentimes something else has to end to make room. IP: Logged |
