Marilynn Monroe had Neptune in the first house which gave her that dreamy Hollywood appearance. It seems that people who are considered truly beautiful in an out of this world way, have a prominent Neptune in their chart as opposed to venus. Have you noticed that? Elizabeth taylor had a prominent Neptune as well. Do you think Neptune plays a greater role in defining beauty than venus? Do you think hard Neptune aspects specifically the squarea and inconjunctions to ascendant, sun, moon etc. would make someone not very attractive? IP: Logged |

I haven't noticed it. Neptune tends to blur stuff so that sharp features become fuzzy and webby. I like Capricorn/Saturn features best in the face. I like the tall, angular look with the big eyes, sharp chin and prominent nose. If they look a little weird, I like that too, this is more Uranian, not Neptune. Neptune just fuzzes. IP: Logged |

I Would say so. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, divine beauty. Sunsets & Candlelit dinners. Neptune brings in a sense of a mermaid, an ethereal sense of transcendence, touching personals like Venus & Sun can add a touch of beauty. ------------------ LG. IP: Logged |

Yes, I have noticed neptune risers are glamorous! My grandmother had neptune conjunct asc in Leo and she was beauty queen maybe not "perfect" looking but had that glamorous image. Dreamy top heavy eyes, beautifully adorned makeup and hair. etc. Marilyn Monroe had neptune rising in leo too. She certainly was not perfect looking but is a beauty icon. I have Neptune parallel Sun I have have dreamy top heavy eyes too I may not be perfect looking and certainly don't believe I am but people usually tell me I'm good looking or beautiful rather than cute or other alternatives. Neptunians can cultivate or convey an image of beauty and glamour to others. I believe Pisces is also the "muse" sign.

There's a big difference between glamour and true beauty in the features. Neptune does not bestow true beauty the way Saturn and Capricorn might, even Libra, with symmetry and clearness. What you see with Neptune is an outer mask. The person is made up to look better than they are. They use clothing, make up, hair styles. The Neptunian will compensate for their mundane features in other areas. If you look at Marilyn Monroe, she isn't what one would call a conventional beauty. She figured out ways to appear more beautiful than her features allow. But that's the motion picture industry in general. IP: Logged |

The words u have to think on when u talk about neptune is dreamy look, mystic, feminine," out of this world" just look and observe Marilyn's eyes and see other people with neptune very influenced. "Bad" aspects to neptune doesnt have to mean that necesarily look at natalie portman she has sun opposite neptune, elizabeth taylor the same, penelope cruz the same,....but it' s not like the beauty of libra or taurus, which is a very "earthy down to earth beauty" like very perfect very armonius....neptune it's more the aura and what you transmite, the eyes, etc taurus or libra is like the forms are perfect IP: Logged |

Basically what I just said..Ironically most librans I meet are okay looking, average well placed features with no appeal. They don't have the glamourous appeal that Pisceans have. There are more Pisces fashion models than Libra models If they had prominent Neptune they could enhance their beauty but they continue be vanilla as hell Actually a lot of Caps I know are really glamorously dressed. Neptune in Cap! I think goatcat is an example! I love her style, and makes her more appealing than an someone with out Neptune conjunct sun. IP: Logged |

She had a really good stylist and perfected her look. She looked okay before but not out-of-this-world. If you look at her before and after pictures, she is far from a conventional beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, anyway. If you look at Marilyn's early photos it's not obvious she is the most beautiful creature on earth or anything like that. Most of what she is is pure image and that's a total Neptunian concept. Her real self is something else, indeed. That's why I like her edgier roles where she challenged herself playing complex characters. IP: Logged |

Well, there's a difference between the sign Pisces and Neptune in first house. Pisces can be beautiful, any sign can. Marilyn Monroe was not a Pisces. IP: Logged |

Marilyn thought she was being typecast into the airhead type roles and wanted people to understand she was well read, more intellectual, typical Gemini sun, Neptune kinda distracted from this, being in her first house, and her Gemini soul took over, in time. In the end, Neptune won out.I love her best when she realized the glamour was not the most important thing. She became interesting at that moment. She craved substance and demanded better roles. Libra is a small framed ascendant, I'm libra AC with Venus and Pluto conjunct....I'm only 5'2 and 103lbs. Most models are gawky, tall and unusual looking, it photographs well but in person they are not considered typically "pretty". Libra in general, unless something else is affecting their sign, they will be small or more dainty type people.

Same here. I am the shortest member of my family and have Libra ascending, first decan, double Venusian influence. Libra rising runs in my family, several of us have it, and the others are all taller than I. Maybe it's more about what sign the chart ruler is in?

I've noticed that in the "western world", a lot of people/celebs with strong features are considered good looking, like the kind that aries, leo, cap, aqua, fixed/cardinal, saturn influence can give. Whereas in Asia, heaps of celebrities who are considered very beautiful have soft, delicate, pleasing neptune/venus/mercurial features of Libra, Virgo, Pisces or the elvish features of Gemini. The reason I like that look is I am opposite of it, short with features that are much, much more Neptunian. I guess I like what I do not have, sometimes. I have natal Neptune in the second house which is said to influence the face and head and progressed Neptune is in house one as well. IP: Logged |

^ Yeah that's true, I'm pretty much similar. I like the opposite of me. They seem so exotic.I have neptune in the 12th on my sun and asc and I look a lot different with makeup/clothes/different hairstyles. IP: Logged |

Astrologically...Neptune is the higher octave of venus. It's an outer planet thus impacting the masses. So a Neptunian would be considered beautiful by the masses compared to a Venusian. Not that a Venusian wouldn't be the most beautiful girl in the neighborhood It's just a fact that neptune has more magnetism than venus. Just as a plutonian would be considered more sexy than a martian. Everyone raves about them! Personally I met people in real life or at work that are more attractive than most models or actors but they don't seem to cause such a big buzz. They must be lacking outer planet magnetism.

Well, some people say Neptune is a higher octave of Venus. I don't necessarily agree with that statement. Neptune is just Neptune. IP: Logged |
