So I've researched some famous writers birth chart…. and all of them seems to have these similar traits - some mercury/neptune aspect, and often gemini/virgo/leo is involvedSome examples: Stephen King - Is a virgo sun with libra mercury conjunction libra neptune (he also has his sun square his gemini uranus) Ernest Hemmingway - Is a cancer with his leo mercury sextile his gemini neptune almost exact. He also got a virgo mars. Franz Kafka - Is cancer sun with gemini mercury making only a semi-sextile to his taurus neptune, but he has a prominent gemini (also moon and venus) and aspecting his uranus in virgo Dan Brown - Is cancer sun with gemini mercury conjunction his gemini venus, he also has a virgo uranus aspecting his sun! And scorpio neptune aspecting his venus Paulo Coelho - Is a virgo sun with his leo mercury semi-square his libra neptune, and mercury also aspecting his leo venus and gemini uranus. And uranus is also sextile his sun! I could go on and on, every bestselling writer seems to have similar traits, with something going on with their mercury, uranus and neptune! It's very interesting! Do you have any suggestions what made them famous? Cause one thing is having the talent, another thing is being able to get through and puplish

Gemini/Virgo/ Leo makes perfect sense. You have the Literary Mercury Ruled Signs with the King of the Stage presiding...

Uranus brings communication to a higher level, but it's Neptune?Well, I guess Neptune weaves a Spell and a Mist about the Words... IP: Logged |

I can't think in a "famous" example, but my mother is a taurus sun, sag moon, gemini rising. She's a journalist and writer the ruler of her ascendant mercury is in gemini in her 12 house....she's sometimes very misterious and look serious....i can't remember now if she has mercury/neptune aspects, i have to look again at her chart...and i 'll tell you, but i have been always fascinated with her gemini rising, it's so accurate for her and what she does in lifeIP: Logged |

Many of the famous writers got famous because they somehow had an innovative style of their time, but in combination with neptune they were still able to stay in contact with the feelings of the people of that time, so the outcome was very special and unique - no other had probably written like that before And then neptune is also imagination, so having it in aspect with mercury brings out the creativity in the language? Very True, and Stephen King did write that it was a form of Telepathy; Writing was, that spoke straight to the listener. That would be a Mercury-Neptune kind of thing. Have you ever read "On Writing" by him? It's really good, especially the first half. I think; after his bicycling incident, he was glad enough of it himself. IP: Logged |

Well, I have been thinking about it, and I decided that it was like Venus. You know Neptune is Venus Raised up an Octave. So, a lot of Musicians will have Mercury-Venus things going on. Do you suppose it is like that, but raised up to the Realm of the Imagination? IP: Logged |

Well, it's Mercury Conjunct Neptune, but the stronger part is Mercury Conjunct Uranus, because it is the Octave. It is also the eleventh House, which is Aquarius' House. This is also Ruled by Uranus. So that gives more emphasis to the Aquarian Uranus side, rather than the Neptune. IP: Logged |

What signs are neptune, mercury and uranus? IS uranus aspecting your sun? And how is your venus and jupiter? I also saw a pattern of mercury often touching venus, and one of these planets also touching sun… don't know about the houses though And do you have anything in virgo? IP: Logged |

I think I could also be a great writer, if you looked at my chart Mercury in libra square capricorn neptune, jupiter and saturn. And I'm virgo sun with cancer ascendant, my scorpio venus sextiles neptune, and both sun and pisces moon is square uranus:P But I miss the gemini thing, and contact between venus/mercury or mercury/venus/sun IP: Logged |

I looked up a few of my favorite authors, representing a few different genres. You already got Paulo Coelho 1) Joseph Conrad: Sag Mercury square Pisces Neptune exact 2) Ralph Waldo Emerson: Gem Mercury quincunx Scorpio Netune, 3 degrees 3) F. Scott Fitzgerald: Libra Mercury trine Gem Neptune, 4 degrees 4) Dane Rudhyar: Pisces Mercury widely square Gem Neptune, 9 degrees 5) Thomas Hardy: Gemini Mercury, Aquarius Neptune, 13 degrees orb 6) Victor Hugo: Pisces Mercury quincunx Scorpio Neptune, 4 degrees 7) Emily Dickinson: Sag Mercury semisextile Cap Neptune, 2 degrees I love some other authors who aren't famous enough to have their charts in the astro-databank and don't have time to plug their data in this morning. I'm a half decent writer when I put my mind to it, 'did well as an English major. I have Mercury in a t-square with Uranus and Saturn. Mercury sextile Venus, 2 degrees, and Mercury sextile Neptune, 7 degrees. Mercury trine Pluto. IP: Logged |

It sounds very interesting indeed! A very wide orb between mercury and neptune, but you have the sun/mercury, what about your venus? How is that aspected? If it makes any aspect to neptune/mercury/sun it's very good It's interesting that you have a virgo moon and gemini mars, but they are almost aspected… but just having the signs, could indicate that your language is well developed and you are good with words. Sun/neptune wide conjunction is very favorable for bringing out your creativity… when it is in sag it could also indicate other areas than writing, such as music, drama, movies I would think
