This aspect in combination of Saturn square Sun and chiron in the 3rd make my life a living hell..It's like I am stupid and I don't deserve or have the right of stating my opinion without getting hate or considered silly. How can you heal something like that? And do you really think that these aspects and placements make someone "stupid"?IP: Logged |

Rather than actually making you "stupid", it makes you feel like you're "stupid" . I think it can't be healed, especially with Chiron also in 3rd but it can be used to motivate yourself to improve yourself in this area.IP: Logged |

I say something and i'm always paranoid if what I said is stupid. And when people act like i'm silly it magnifies the problem. IP: Logged |

Saturn hates being embarrassed. Just use it to motivate yourself to be better than the rest in this area, square indicates lot of potential afterall. Well, you may always feel like you're "stupid", like you'll never be good enough BUT you may actually be a lot better than the rest as square gives you that extra push to keep improving yourself.IP: Logged |

Here is a typical interpretation for this aspect"SATURN SQUARE OR OPPOSITION TO MERCURY makes the person subject to trouble and delays all through life. He is thwarted on every hand by slander and secret enemies and this condition in time makes him bitter and sarcastic with the additional result that he is shunned by all who can possibly get away from him. This in time leads him to become a recluse who shuts himself away to brood over his troubles. Such a person sometimes becomes subject to melancholia of a most piteous character. These aspects also make the person cunning and untruthful. They give the same desire to study the occult conferred by the good aspects, but there is the great difference that while the good aspects of Saturn and Mercury incline one to the study of occultism from unselfish motives, the bad aspects impel him to ferret out nature's secret for personal power or gain." Other interpretations say you might be"slow" or "dull" or "lacking imagination" I say all this is a lot of nonsense ....REALLY... I have never heard such absolute crap! I have a close saturn mercury square and I love a good mental challenge more than just about anything else in life. As for hard work I say "bring it on!". I don't care what it is... literature, maths, science, whatever- as long as my grey cells get a good workout on a daily basis I am happy as can be. As others have said, I doubt if you ARE stupid, maybe you just FEEL it sometimes because of self judgement which is a big Saturn thing. Saturn likes you to measure yourself against ultimate perfection, so no wonder you fall short and doubt yourself. Try to forget about perfection and just let that saturn square drive and challenge you to greater heights within your own capabilities and be happy with that. Ultimately " You're a thinker with a profound mind able to grasp complex issues. But you think and worry too much" Also consider this quote from Donna Cunningham in response to someone who said they did not feel mercurial because of their mercury/saturn sqauare - "Ah, well, Saturn-Mercury aspects are a different breed of mercurial. I find myself rather in awe of them, for they are the true scholars. I’ve had several clients with this aspect over the years who had Ph.Ds. and yet were convinced they were stupid…an inferiority complex that was often related to a father or older brother who was brilliant. One of them–a therapy client–was even a PhD candidate in physics and a teaching assistant in a major university, and when she tried to explain to me what her thesis was about, my eyes crossed." Donna goes on to say that Einstein was not considered very bright as a child, but he had a hard mercury/saturn aspect (conjunct), so never say that merc/sat "makes" you stupid. It just takes time for your intelligence to blossom, if it is not a soft aspect. IP: Logged |

And another thing... Think about how many people are out there without mercury-saturn aspects who are continually blurting out the most ridiculous things... But they super-confident that they are clever as can be. Isn't this even worse? To think you are a genius when you are a blithering idiot? At least mercury/saturn squares will never suffer THAT indignity!Disclaimer : there are many non- merc/sat people who are geniunely bright and /or who have a realistic idea of their intelligence, I'm just making an example of a certain type who are not that clever, but have a lot to say.
