My husband and I both have our Sun in 8th (I'm Pisces, he's Leo) and neither one of us is comfortable unless we're close to the ocean (or at least Puget Sound, which is kind of like the ocean).
We've considered moving out the the Midwest, but at least we would be on the Mississippi River and close to the Great Lakes...but still, it would probably freak us out to live far from the ocean.

But my Pisces Sun in 8th probably explains all of that.
For him, his Sun in 8th and possibly Sag Neptune in 12th conjunct Scorpio Jupiter in 11th?
He doesn't have any planets in water signs other than Jupiter, so my guess is the houses and Neptune?

I love the rain, taking long baths, etc. I do any energy work or serious meditation in the bathtub, haha. My husband mostly just loves the ocean. He complains about the rain here, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I grew up in a desert area with hardly any rain, and I couldn't stand it. Everything was always brown and hot and dry, and when it rained I would literally go outside and dance in it as a teenager. No deserts!
House boats are expensive around here, though.

That's really funny, I found the same thing when I was away from the water. I didn't realize how much it would really bother me but it did.

Yeah, I at least need to live in an area where it rains often and there are large, moving bodies of water. But lakes and rivers just aren't the same to me as the ocean, most of the time. Maybe the really big lakes or the Mississippi...maybe.
Most of my life, we've only been a day trip away from the ocean, so it would definitely be weird.
I love the fact that it rains incessantly here. Sometimes I complain like an ingrate in the summertime, but not generally. I like the fact that it's green here all year long.

Yeah, I love my home as well.

No Neptune on the Descendant? Me and CG both have that one.

Like CG, I would never want to leave my Lighthouse, ha!

I looked up the Anaretic, and it is in the Third House. The Sun and Moon are in a Mutual Reception in the Third and Twelfth Houses, Conjunct the Ascendant.

So, it if you look up those Houses, and consider the things that Sun in Cancer, Moon in Gemini Rule, you will get a basic idea.

Not Neptune so much as the others.

Neptune in the sense of this thread.

Hmm...I used cafeastrology and found it didn't give me the little details like neptune on descendant or south nodes. I'm not sure if it would be conjunct or something else.

Yay! Same for you too Ellynlvx

If something affects the North Node, it affects the South Node as well, in a converse fashion.

You have Uranus Conjunct the Vertex, and Mars Conjunct the Nadir.

Hm, okay. I definitely felt like my chart information was really incomplete. I attempted to look up what the oppositions meant to south nodes but could find zip about it :P So, it would be a conjunct to SN

Ha i love water too, i only have a scorpio singleton and i think of scorpio as ice maybe an iceberg.

Way too many good experiences under rain and over sea....
For some reason the excess moisture is really good for my hair
So I don't mind going out on rainy days!

It is a Conjunction to the North Node.

Same.

I lived next the pacific growing up so way too many.. but one of my favorites was when the sprinkler system went off in the middle of school, it was like over 100 degrees outside everyone was running and freaking out and I was like whipping my hair back and forth having a party

The faculty was telling us to clam down and exit because there was no fire but people were running out for their lives.
I found my s.o in the hallway and we went in a corner and started making outing

Maybe I enjoyed the chaos too.
They never found who tampered with the system... LOL
