A friend of mine is born excact same day as me but has a cap rising and i have a taurus one, we look reeeallly diffrent, he's way more skinny, bony even.

When talk to him on facebook or just not in person he jokes all the time, i'm always surprised by how serrious he is in person.

I think cap risings with scorpio on the midheaven make them seem darker or more serious/intimidating, while libra on the midheaven can make them appear more classy or refined.

I am cap rising and I fit the description pretty well. As for physical features id say I have the characteristic high cheekbones, a naturally unsmiling face as if I were upset, and the "don't mess with me" eyebrows that make me appear to be so serious.

Some examples of famous cappy risings: sean connery, monica belluci, josef stalin, sophia loren, trent reznor.

Of course aspects to the ascendant will modify physical features and appearance, I think sean connery is an excellent example of the cappy archetype in appearance considering he has cappy's ruling planet saturn conjunct the ascendant.

As for my actual personality, the cappy rising exterior serves more as a defense mechanism for dealing with the world as a cancer sun. I am definitely not as serious as people take me (or rather the brand of serious promoted by capricorn), but they don't see this until I have warmed up to them a bit, I am much sillier and loving than I come off to people when they first meet me (5H gemini venus singleton as well). I've noticed that my appearance or presence in itself can make people feel keyed up or tense, as if children start behaving once I arrive for fear of reprimand or something. It has its benefits, but sometimes I envy the leo or sagittarius rising folks, its like when they enter the room is when the party has started where everyone lights up and is delighted by their arrival, whereas when Capricorn arrives its like everyone suddenly starts adjusting their neckties or making sure their hair is not disheveled as if the tax collector or police showed up instead.

I know a Cap AC with Taurus/Scorp IC/MC
He had this demeanor about him, very serious! He could stare at someone, just looking and watching....absolutely not meaning anything...but everyone called it his "rape' stare! His casual look was just so intense. He was shorter, 5'9...thin, blond, wavy hair and blue eyes.

Cute but not in a stereotypically hot guy way....he was cute because he looked like he could handle anything, kind of rough and macho in an understated way...he didnt stand out until you noticed him then you couldnt look anywhere else!

His saturn was on his Taurus IC by 2 degrees....
