To give you an example, this Saturn in the 5th in this chart. Normally I wouldn't want to see it there. But before I chose this chart I looked through my database, I still have all the FMC's for all my boyfriends and dates and random enounters. Saturn in the 5th was present in all my happy ones. It's weird but it seems to work for me, it's what I need, apparently.

I know what you mean.

Actually, even though Saturn in 5 does not quite seem like the fun one, Saturn is also giving a lot of focus to whereever he falls.
Saturn in 7th or Saturn in 5th is not as bad as it is made out to be. At least not for everyone.

It depends a little on what you want. If you want to have a more easygoing light and fun relationship, this might not be for you.
But you have Cappy-ASC and Saturn is aligned with your Mars and Pluto, if I remember it right, chances are slim you would go for a fun-affair alone.

And the positive thing about Saturn is, that it does give stability and the "sticking it out for the long haul" vibe.

Personally I would prefer Saturn being there in my charts, too, just because Saturn is the dispositor of my 5th house ruler anyway, and falling into my 8th house - I definitely like the seriousness of a Saturn. I probably couldn`t do much with Uranus in 5th or 7th house though.

Besides in your case, Saturn is the 8th house ruler, falling into 5th house, conjunct ASC-ruler and Karma there, sextile Venus in 7th house.
doesn`t have any challenging aspects to major planets either, though I am not quite sure how the square to Juno will play out.

Lovely news, Hera.

I did have an epiphany, when I first read his posts, that you and Blackbird would hit it off. Cool! All the best to you both.

Ceri, that is true. Saturn is a big player, we're both Cap risings conjunct, and of course the composite has it too. Also, we've both had our Saturn return recently. It creates a solid base, if you ask me. I don't know what the future holds, I am anticipating some obstacles and delays, but what I do know is that it's worthwhile. The rest will have to reveal itself.

Congratulations!

P.s I too remember few event charts where Venus (my chart ruler) was in H5 (or H5 ruler in aspect with my significator) - I took it that this means fundamental content, H1 & H5. Maybe it is because Saturn is your chart ruler? Anyways, best of luck.

Speaking of unconventional, I don't get why women spend fortunes on wedding dresses. Never have. I purchased mine via a formal consignment collections shoppe here in LA, and the grand total for me, and my bridesmaids / maid of honour - $600. Happy camper.

No tailoring, either, and I had tremendous compliments. Oh, plenty of funny moments as we were like, 'what does this go to?' and 'how is that supposed to work?'

I was the 'secondhand bride'; wore my sister-in-law's shoes and veil - and the garter of one of my dear friends. Funny story there - my husband had caught the garter in our friends' wedding. When I was looking for something in his old room at his mom's, stumbled onto the garter, he said, 'I guess it means I'm getting married.' I looked at him, burst out laughing, and said, 'Yeah, fat chance of that happening.'

... I know, right? I had been through a very, very nasty period, doing the whole swearing off commitment, and so on. I later clarified, HE may be, but NOT me - and not WITH me.

It was actually 3 years ago, to the day, that we went up to Ventura and came back with a marriage certificate. Heh. What a day.

So, Congrats, Hera, and ... Blackbird, I think you said? Hope it works out.

All the best.

OHHH, your parents did it. Gotcha. That explains why you've got that schema. All right, cool, if it works for you, then - enjoy yourself! It's nice to have a roadmap. Hell, sometimes they even work.

Saturn must be a 'love' point for you, which can act as a significator. Indeed, in the 5H would make sense then.

Since you folks are talking about bride's dresses, how about this for the groom

Tom Hanks ice-cream white tail tuxedo from Big

Mars in Virgo formality and Moon in Gemini childishness...

Our angles are pretty close, conjunct I think.

Her Saturn and Pluto are conjunct my big stellium, and her Mars is opposite my big stellium. *gulp*

Her Venus is trine my Mars and Venus.
