I understood corectly? Transiting Sun opposite your natal Saturn? No, it's not the cause. It happens yearly and lasts for one day and one day only. IP: Logged |

You will feel it until saturn leaves sing. Of course if your sun is in first decade it won't be so intense in the last degrees of sign that saturn is transiting. But Sun is the most significant point of your chartIP: Logged |

There are 3 Saturn cycles we experience in life. The first Saturn cycle is Saturn transiting in relationship to your Ascendant. The second Saturn cycle is Saturn transiting in relationship to your Natal Sun. The third Saturn cycle is Saturn transiting in relationship to your Natal Saturn. You are asking about the second cycle, when Saturn transits in relationship to your natal Sun. This is where we get the "7 years of bad luck" saying. Every 7 years Saturn hits an angle in relation to your natal Sun, by makin a square, an opposiyion, and another square. It's natural to feel depression when it is opposite to your Sun, because you will feel major obstacles intervening mostly with your career, but the good part is that each cycle is constantly moving so you don't stay stuck forever. Let me describe the cycles so you understand how to monitor Saturn in your life. ..

Here is a basic description of the three Saturn Cycles we experience in life. When you are having difficulty in one, look to the other two to balance out your experience. Also keep in mind that Saturn has to do with your habits, so look to see which habits no longer serve you - either physical habits - routines, emotional habits - emotional drama, but mostly thinking habits. And it will affect your career mostly, reputation/responsibilities. to be continued... IP: Logged |

First Saturn Cycle1) Saturn transiting Ascendant When Saturn leaves your Ascendant you will recede from fame or power until it makes its first square to your Ascendant. This is when it is conjunct your IC (4th house cusp). This is when you either fade away completely or take a new start in life. You have 14 years to rise up again to when Saturn is conjunct the MC (10th house cusp). When Saturn is making a square approaching your ascendant you rise again and/or assume maximum power. Then when it is conjunct to our Ascendant you reach your second peak and the cycle starts all over again. continued... IP: Logged |

Second Saturn Cycle2) Saturn transiting your Natal Sun You experience a climax when Saturn is conjunct your Natal Sun. This can be good or bad. This is the nature of Saturn, the karmic planet, the lesson giver. When Saturn makes the first square in the cycle to your natal Sun, you get a new start. Very promising time if you experienced negatively at the conjunction. Saturn does have a way of restricting your life force when it is conjunct your Sun. THen, at the opposition to your Sun you may feel blocked, mostly with career, and this can be from temporary or permanent obstacles interfering with your advancement. Not to worry though, because by the next square you will begin a gradual build up of power to where there is another climax when the cycle starts all over again when Saturn is conjunct your natal Sun. Again - how did you handle the cycle? Will the climax be good or bad. Be conscious of your other Saturn cycles. continued... IP: Logged |

I've got Saturn opposite sun coming up as well...which makes you a Taurus sun.I don't know what to expect but i do believe it's worse if you have Saturn opposite Sun or vice versa in the progressed chart that'll usually take a good few years to sweep on by.yikes hope you feel better as the transit passes by but remember Sun/Saturn in opposition could mean your having trouble filling in what is restricting you as whole. Third Saturn Cycle3) Saturn transiting your Natal Saturn. There is much written on this. In general, as you make a Saturn Return there is a wiping out of the past, a new lease on life for the future. How well will you evaluate your life choices, habits, to eliminate what is not serving you, to follow you urges to "grow up" so to speak. (First return corresponds to maturity of physical body and brain development - Second has to do with acquired life experience and growing into wisdom). When Saturn makes its first square to natal saturn important developments take place, less that at the conjunction but still an important part of the cycle. At the opposition, Saturn opposite natal Saturn, this is a climax of development from what you laid down 14 years ago at the conjunction. Then at the next square of Saturn approaching your natal Saturn important developments take place again, lesser in degree from the conjunction and opposition, but again an important time. Of course, the cycle starts all over again at the next return. continued...

Saturn is a planet you can ignore, not like Pluto, and you can put off dealing with your issues, but it will always hit you harder the next time around.Follow your urges to change. Really evaluate what is not working in your life, what is not serving you, no matter how painful it is to change your habits - job, personal relationships, family bonds, etc. Use this powerful opportunity to face yourself. No matter how hard it is, remember it is easier the first time around. And if one of the cycles is challenging for you, look to the other cycles to see what can ease up your life experience.

I'm too experiencing this:Transit Saturn opposite Natal Sun. It's currently hitting my Sun by less than 1 degree. :/ I felt the Saturn effect the first day it came close to my Sun, (exactly 2 weeks ago, 17th December) but I soon realised, you must not become depressed and work with it. Just like all oppositions; they mean we must learn to do something a different way. Saturn is the teacher, and will show the path of which way he wants you to go; although it maybe against what you usually do, but it will be helpful at the end. The keyword with this transit is perseverance. You must remember to work hard, and if you have any goals, make sure you stick to them, even if they are long term goals. The harshness of the opposition can be offset by other helpful transits too. For example, Transit Mars in Libra is in trine with my Natal Mercury in Gemini. This adds more energy to me and the trine is tighter than the 'T Saturn opposite N Sun'.
