I have felt that pluto in synastry is intense just like all pluto but it is more carnal. It is more about sexual desire or maybe the better way to explain it is that is more selfish, more about what YOU want, and what you can get from each other. Whereas pluto aspects in composite feel like you're connecting as ONE person. Rather than two separate entities who are seeking something from each other in a plutonian way. It makes sense because the composite is what makes people feel unified, like one entity, described te relationship itself rather than what the two people are trying to get from the other. I feel that pluto in composite is deeper---soul to soul---and more automatic. Like pluto in composite will cause love at first Sight whereas I havent really seen it happen in synastry as Strongly. More importantly I think the thing to note is that it seems to make the connection automatic...not something that you have to work at or get from each other like what i feel happens with pluto just in synastry. Compare, say venus trine pluto in synastry with venus trine pluto in composite. Hasnt your experience of it in composite been so much more powerful and deep? Or say, sun square/conjunct/opposite pluto in synastry versus the same in composite.....oh wow in composite it is like "well hello there soulmate" and in synastry its like meh, you affect me just a little bit. I think that the reason must be because if a RELATIONSHIP (composite) itself has the attributes of PLUTO ( the composite chart shows the attributes of te relationship itself) it will be a much deeper relationship than if pluto just occurs in synastry. ------------------ True to my aqua north node, I'll always pick the choice nobody expected me to pick. ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings | Ideal compatibility (3rd post) | Q&A | What's a Love stellium? | Most important aspects descriptions | Aspects to avoid | Guide to Chinese Zodiac Appearance | The Order in Astrology IP: Logged |

I agree with this. One reason for this is that the composite is a mirror/ reflection/ summary/ conclusion of the natal resonances. So if there is a tight aspect between Pluto an Sun or Venus in composite, it is always - by definition- a mutual thing, as both people have some kind of natal resonance with it (even though it is not always obvious).
However I have noticed though that usually the person whose natal chart has tight (3 degrees appr.) conjunctions or oppositions to the relevant composite positions feels it most immediately.

It might depend on a person's maturity and how he/she is in touch with his/her own Plutonian sides, to determine how Pluto can play out in a relationship. For example, there are more chances to develop into a soulful connection, if the couple is mature and soulful themselves. With people who are more carnal and raw, it would be more likely to be sexual and physical. Also, wiht people who are more obsessive or selfish, it can turn into manipulation and such.Pluto in the composite, if aspected in trines or sextiles generally shows sensitivity and possibility of a deeper, soulful bond. Usually, since Neptune has been forming a sextile with Pluto for years, aspects to Pluto also involved Neptune, adding more sensitivity and care towards each other. On the other hand, harder aspects like oppositions, conjunctions and squares are very intense, that it might bring out all the inner issues of both sides. This is why if the couple is not mature and soulful, it can translate to intense connection at first, including sexual, yet it might turn into selfishness (if they are not ready to deal with their own inner issues being brought up), too much emphasis on sex instead love, as well as manipulation (again if they have inner issues that can drive them to do so). In the more mature couples it can translate to a very soulful connection (conjunction/opposition), or that they have to overcome together inner issues (squares), since they are more ready to deal with the intensity and depth this aspects can bring up. I have Moon-Pluto conjunction in composite (4th house!) and a trine Venus-Pluto in synastry with the same person. I think Moon-Pluto conjunction contributes to the fact it's deep to the core and painful, at least from my side. Nothing casual and that's what scares him. IP: Logged |

AriesLilith and ceridwen I super agree To the last poster I had comp moon conj pluto with my ex and it was deep to the core and painful. I read from cafeastrology that with thiscomposite aspect the female is always insecure in the relationship and distrusftul of the guy because there is an imbalance from the start of how much one expresses emotions versus the other. (The female represented by moon in composite wants the guy to express emotions more and this makes them insecure and always demand to know how much they are loved)
