I can relate to what Doux wrote & very much with Imoppedthefloor of 'feeling too much'. That last thing is the key in people sometimes giving of the defensive vibe in my opinion. That's space needed or they will be too affected by the emotions.

i absolutely love that part. it rings true for me.
i keep a distance with people. even when it comes to a point where i start to love them (as a friend) i won't even verbally tell them. it takes a lot, and i mean A LOT for me to share my feelings with others, and i rarely let people close to me and let them in to the point where they could possibly hurt me.

i have 9th moon conjunct chiron in 8th in taurus :

i like to be simple :

- high sensitivity to emotional pain that could trigger long crippling aphasic shock sometimes.

(if someone hate me i an feel it and this leave me as mute as long as i am facing these people. So i try to avoid or escape when i feel the antipathic ones approach)

My moon conjunct chiron and it's very difficult also when transiting planets aspects my moon or chiron it's a difficult time..
