There is a Dragon I feel an attraction for but he says that I'm "closed". I don't know what he is talking about? Every six years, I hug a tree. That's tons of emotion, right?

ive seen ur posts and i think ur funny

yes exactly the relationship between snake and pig is very sexual from the start! ur right. it's like it's -only- sexual and then the kindness and chemistry just isnt there as much as we expected it would be

so youd rather date another pig than a rabbit?

I also seem to very strongly clash with '88 born Dragons, although these particular people are just jerks by any human standards, not only my own.

I can't say I clash with the Snake though. My mum is a Snake and I've met some '89 born Snakes as well. I don't feel drawn to them romantically but I basically like them. My hour-sign/symbol is the Snake. Maybe that's why.

Generally from the people I know I do tend to get along with Dogs (both my sisters are Dogs) and think Rabbits are really sweet and endearing. Idk about Goats being a soulmate sign though. I get along with them in friendship but have dated one and found him to be too passive in terms of goals, artsy but kind of snobbish about it. Maybe that had to do with his other signs tho and I just haven't met the right one yet lol

Also... I do like Snakes, it's my day sign too. One of my first classes at uni was intro to world religions, our extremely hot (imo) TA was talking about Chinese astro and told us he's a Fire Snake... I was a little bit infatuated not gonna lie lol

ive crushed on 4 monkeys before i dated my ex who i have really good western astro with and is also a pisces trine my sun and i never felt that monkey was my soulmate before, only realize that now. yeah u have to have the strong western astro to back it up, and i recommend trine suns too.
I thought the crushes were cute...but they seemed maybe too feminine for me...or...hmm something was just off about them. One i thought was kind of crazy and too hyper haha also too serious looking. so yeah just bc if u date one with good western astro theres a high chance ull feel like soulmates and wont be able to let go doesnt mean u'll fall for every goat that u date. western astro is very important too they work in combination

Oxen and Roosters seem to like me a lot, for a reason I'll never understand.

Dunno if you've read that book by Suzanne White that
describes the combination of Western and Chinese signs.

Virgo/Pig was supposed to be the epitome of purity.

Yeah I think it's just that need for freedom... Friendships and love interests I've had with other Horses have been fun but that independent/reckless nature can sometimes get in the way eventually..

So how important (if at all) do you think day signs/hour signs are in compatibility? Being involved with another Snake day sign was really significant for me... But would you just compare year sign to year sign, day sign to day sign, etc... or does it cross over like as a Horse I would get along with Horse day signs too? If that makes any sense lol

Year/year is general compatibility, so I'd check that first.
Month/month is central to romantic compatibility specifically.
But if I wanted to know if someone's going to be accepted by the future in-laws or if a cultural difference between partners can be bridged, then I'd have a look to month/year compatibility.

I have no idea and it would be super interesting to find out! I already got enough in my head though...hahaha
Cant analyze everyones day hour month sign too etc i might go crazy : P

Plus websites dont exactly make it easy to look at ppls chinese placements in a breeze......

Yes im glad u notice the independent/reckless nature. I think the snakes worst trait is procrastination and laziness.

Haha yeah I'd love to learn more about it but as you said it's difficult to find much info online...

And yes that's definitely a downside for the Horse, it doesn't help being a Sag moon/mercury and a life path 5 either lol. Snakes are so fascinating though! I admire that you guys are so charming but also know how to be diplomatic and subtle about it lol

Interesting, thanks! I forgot about month sign... I'm an Ox month which makes sense for Capricorn I guess. Sorry to ask more questions but does day sign matter at all? To me I just felt like I had a ton in common with someone who has the same day sign but opposite months...

You are correct in your assumption that the Day Pillar is important. It is probably the most personal of all pillars!

@RunAroundScreaming:
Isn't there already a chinese astrology topic in Brown Owl School or something?
I remember you've been pretty thorough with the physical features. Could you do the same with the personalities?
I'm far from being a specialist, but I'm willing to share what I know, sure. I won't have time this week, though, but next should be fine. I'll see what I can come up with.
I'm not a native speaker so bear with me

RAS,

How are you doing? How would you analyze a Yang Earth Monkey paired with a Yin Water Rabbit?? There seems to be a bit of symmetry but I think that combination isn't supposed to work, right ?

@firemoon I could look at your compatibility with him if u want :P

@YTA! Omg how are youuu .
The monkey and rabbit. Well it's much better if you meet when youre older and the monkey is much more mature bc this sign can be very self-indulgent. Surprisingly the monkey is rather shy and his nervous energy is more nervous than most ppl realize and also inherently a loner, though they love to show off their charms. They both love beauty and art so theyll probably goto lot of art events and things like that and decorate their house nicely. again the monkey is inherently a loner and quite an unstable person especially in their early years so the rabbit would be a good stabilizing influence. its good that the man is the rabbit bc the monkey woman is less likely to hurt you than if she were the man. They would also connect bc the rabbit is also a loner and they are both philosophical and intellectual and can be quite curious about learning and intellectual pursuits. Anyway the rabbit is usually much more emotionally withdrawn and shy when it comes to expressing affection or emotions in general so i feel the monkey would help to open the rabbit up in this area. They can both be very big procrastinators and irresponsible but the monkey is kind of a genius and can complete any task in a millisecond so its okay if they procrastinate they can usually do things so well that they can do them last minute. The monkey also becomes very responsible later in life, sometimes even dictatorial and demanding as they can be neurotic. Also i feel the rabbit is very giving in a relationship, moreso than the monkey so there might be an imbalance there. But if the man is the rabbit that is probably for the best bc the monkey woman will appreciate the rabbit's stable and giving nature. I do feel the monkey would bring the rabbit out of his shell. Generally this isnt considered a soul connected union...but since the rabbit avoids confrontation at all costs and since the monkey is always agreeable and though it does what it wants first and foremost will try to avoid arguments as much as it can, there wont be many arguments and discussions will clear the air quickly.

Many chinese signs call the rabbit shy but they are actually akin to the mad hare in alice in wonderland. They are mostly zany eccentric and energetic, even moreso if they are a masculine sun in western. The monkey is the same, just as energetic so they would connect there as well. Its just that even tho the rabbit is energetic they are pretty expressionless and dont show emotions or affection much so the monkey would help them there as monkey is very passionate and affectionate.

OMG RAS!

How are you, my dear?!

That report is 95% spot on!!

As you know, the monkey is also a leo female, and the rabbit is also a capricorn male.

The general stereotypical notions suggest incompatibility because there's a socially outgoing, domineering masculine female monkey, combined with a supposedly passive introvert feminine male rabbit.

It just works.

Im glad
I thought u might be asking me bc u were having problems!!!

Glad u guys are still doing great. And good to see u havent been on in a long time!!! =))))))))

Yes the rabbit is zany and hyper just like the monkey---both can be chatterboxes. So nope the rabbit is not necessarily shy-just not great at expressing emotions which is a different thing. they keep a strong poker face!

Rabbit and monkey are both entertainers and love joking around and keeping ppl on their toes with witty nonstop chatter lol...

Though the monkey is always described as a crazy person lol, they are actually quite shy and emotional. You will find a lot of sweet and sensitive monkey people---they are very loveable. Rabbits can be shy and nervous as well---their nervous energy comes out in their chatterbox ways just like the monkey, so they would understand each other there as well

I feel it would work out for the reason that they both love to be entertaining 24/7. They never shut off.
And they are both shy and sensitive/emotional on the inside. But whereas the rabbit keep a deer in headlights expression the monkey's emotions always come through in their face. They cant help it. Theyre also very affectionate. So in that way the monkey is more expressive than the rabbit and would help open the rabbit up.
