I think it could apply to me.
My Mercury is conjunct MC, trine Pluto and Asc.

I'm a poor singer though.
My voice is weak, unimpressive and banal.
Yet in choir, classmates would follow my voice rather than trust the conductor, and fight to stand next to me
because it was easy when I was around, they said.

The other I know is a girl with Mercury in Gemini conjunct Pluto, and she's highly analytical and asks lots of intrusive questions, lol. I think Pluto allows her to think deeper than the average Mercury in Gemini too. She can talk FOREVER.

Oh yes they are very good at dominating in conversations, you could have like a group of 50 people all talking at once and the one with strong Mercury/Pluto will take over. They have the gift of STRONG gab lol.

She almost choked on her drink. "You used to be blunt? "

*Very telling*

Hi Faith, I think its a good thing though to be blunt, people know where your coming from and no confusion. Do you have a strong speaking voice? Always seemed like you do.

You can still have power with your words even if you can't sing, the ability to command verbally is still there.

I'll consider singing then

Ha.. I studied psychology too but didn't get my degree.

Mercury opp Pluto

I have no idea how my words impact others.

I would say though that I was surprised and a bit proud when 2 of my online friends, both in their 40s, confronted their childhood abuses, inspired by our talks. One of them never told anyone, ever, until then.

Oh I wasn't thinking of it that way but I could definitely see it. I meant more if they don't want to talk, then you two won't talk…unless you're fine with having a conversation with yourself. They're also secretive too.

Yes, though I always thought that was due to my Sag Moon - I have Mercury Quincunx Pluto.

I do however tend to be verbally abusive from time to time - just wayyyyy too blunt and honest - my sharp tongue can hurt people easily if I wanted to. Does anyone else resonate with this?

I have Mercury square Pluto. Mercury is conjunct Venus in the 3rd house, both square Pluto in the 6th house.

I admit, my words can get pretty deep especially when I'm feeling emotional. I can express my words with a profound effect on others. I'm also a singer and in vocal class, my teacher always commented on the "dark" tonal quality of my voice and just how my stage presence draws people in. It's like when I'm singing, I project what the song says through my facial expressions and movement that people seem to feel as if they were the characters in the song. At least, that's what I got from my teacher. She also says I have a powerful voice.

Hey Dancing Maenad, I could see you making a good psychologist and you would tell your patients what exactly they needed to get healed. Your also right to the point about things, so it would really speed things up with them.

I have mercury, mars and asc opposite pluto

I notice it allot, i tend to be somewhat paranoid and i always ALWAYS look for alterior motives without even realizing i'm doing it.

People also tend to tell me their secrets that they never tell anyone, i used to think it was because i come off as quite non-judging about other's vices and dark secrets.

About the commandingness of it i defenetly am very dominant in conversation, however i think it might be mercury and mars conjunct asc.

So far majority of people have said it makes them blunt with speech, I would suppose similar to Mars/Mercury aspect almost.

Equal to Mars or Pluto in 3rd house

But Pluto always adds that extra kick to the butt with whatever it touchs lol.

I have the opposition.

Pretty sure most people just think I'm a blabbering idiot.

...or they just ignore me.

Or both.

Merc/Pluto/mercury in Scorpio are my favourite when they are not stinging folk, their sarcasm/critism works well with my virgo moon plus they don't put up with dishonesty, something which my merc in sag admires.

my s.o has scorp merc conj pluto. That, plus the analytical virgo moon. Has quite a good deal of insight into people and situations.
Sometimes, some people look to him for advices.

Likes to observe more than to speak.

I have Scorpio Mercury conjunct Pluto.

My voice and my way of speaking typically receives a great deal of attention- fortunately positive, which I attribute to the number of flowing aspects it receives.

I mentioned it earlier on this site, but I used to have a very soft and quiet voice until I focused my energy on public speaking. Now my voice is very recognizable, which I guess is a form of Mercury/Pluto in how it 'transformed.'

People tend to listen to what I say, even if it is not my intention to do so. I keep many of my thoughts to myself, and the ones that I do share are very well-developed- so I often get the compliment that I am eloquent or articulate. People often say my voice is very smooth or rich in quality, which is probably a factor.

I did not study psychology, though I have always been fascinated by psychological works like Jung and Gladwell. Currently, I'm more oriented towards research, particularly neuroscience and computing.

In any case, I think that Mercury/Pluto aspects give the ability of depth perception and concentration, as well as the ability to probe.
