I'm with the most amazing moon in Capricorn man. He's a wonderful lover, emotionally, physically. Patient, caring, honest.

Other factors come into play besides one placement.

I do agree though that younger cap moons can be cold, detached, very much into meaningless sex, et cetera. I think this is a moon sign that needs to come into its own and realize that emotions are not the enemy.

Cap moon emotions run deep. Sometimes they aren't comfortable with it--it upsets that upper hand/stability they need.

Edit: I also didn't read the "understand a woman" part. We are a gay couple. Maybe I like that rough and tumble course earth energy. My man is like a statue of a weeping water buffalo. Strong, masculine, but able to show emotion comfortably. Not afraid to open up, or cry. I looooove it. And I have a cap stellium Mars through Neptune in the fourth, all conjunct. Sooooo... :0

i have a cap moon and come from a long line of them including my father and brother. they're good guys!
my son also has a cap moon….i hope he'll turn out to be amazing!

I think there are some women who wouldn't like the cap moon vibe….but i know i would really appreciate that placement in a partner. cap moons may not be big on listening to and being empathic to others' emotional turbulence….they prefer to create a calm emotional pool where they can be safe/control their emotional realm. i do agree with one of the earlier posts to an extent, about them wanting to have everything their way….hahaha. one thing you can count on is that they will be emotionally independent.

I'm dating a Cappy Moon man now, and he definitely has the characteristics people have mentioned here: cold, distant, unemotional (on the surface).

My Venus is in Cap and is conjunct his Moon, so I'm mega attracted to him. I love the fact that he's so darned MATURE, driven, ambitious, hard-working, and he definitely has his emotions in check. I've freaked out at him before, and he remained soooo calm. It was hot.

At the same time, I find him very distant and work-obsessed (he also has Cap Asc and Sun/Venus/Pluto conj his MC in Scorp). He's very uncomfortable with expressing his emotions. Every time I get too mushy or gooey, he tends to shut down. My Moon in Aries is conjunct his 3rd house North Node, so I'm hoping I can teach him some things about emotional communication.

I heard Cappy Moons relax a bit when they get older. Let's hope so!! My Moon is in impatient Aries, so it can be difficult for me sometimes..

I don't think Cappys change as they grow older, per se, I think they just mature into themselves. They are not a mushy-mushy sign! But if they hang around, help you, talk to you, live with you etc etc etc they like/love you, just don't expect or push them to change to accomodate your more passionate self.

I am currently seeing a guy whom has Capricorn in his Moon aspect; I don't have any problems with his Moon placement, then again I have my Moon in Taurus. So the two earth elements complement each other; and we also have other complementing aspects such as our Sun and Ascendant.

Perhaps your charts aren't very compatible, and or his chart has conflicting aspects.

My Moon in Capricorn guy is an amazing partner. His need for emotional and financial security, is admirable; for I seek those securities as well. The cold, detach qualities others have encountered with other Moon in Capricorn guys may be a to each their own. I find my man is very open, expressive, and connected with me. I love his moon placement. It flows with my energies well

I love Cappy Moon dudes! (and ladies)
Cappy is in my 4th house and goes pretty well w/ my Scorpio moon & Venus. They have a wacky sense of humor I enjoy & I think they do lighten up as they get older.
It's tough when they shut down & turn cold/nasty but usually (it's because there is major hurt under there & tears are soon to follow.) Awwww...

I love their calmness in crisis, emotional reserve and general competence, just always knowing how to handle things is a big turn on. I feel safe with them. Must be all the Scorpio in me but I do not like spazzy chatterbox dudes.

I will admit, my Dad is a Cap Moon and I actually think he behaves more like a stereotypical Capricorn than I do (and I am Cap sun). He is an Aqua sun, but the cap moon has made him a verrryyy difficult father. He has always been very cold, has a very hard time with his emotions, is depressive and fatalistic, he's super protective and fears the absolute worst, and has had a drinking problem for years.

He's had to start seeing a therapist to deal with much of that in recent years. He would sometimes go weeks without speaking to any of us while we were growing up -it was always a sign that he was going through some horrible depression. But it did lead my mom to eventually having an affair (I don;t approve of that either, but I could see why she would eventually snap).

From my (limited) experience with a Cap Moon man: cold emotionally; coming and going...; very little talking; eager to please but not a specially sexual person.

Hum...not something I want to repeat really

It just feel like a very gloomy/boring arrangement.

Now Taurus moon is something I really like :-P

Venus in Cap is amazing! Everything I really like about Capricorn comes through strong with Venus there. My experience with two people. Where's your Mars?

I would probably hurt someone with a Cap Venus since it would likely conjunct my Saturn and opp my Cancer Venus.

I've nothing against Capricorn placements (I have Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn there) but for me doesn't work. It annoys my Venus :-((~

Weirdly I tend to fall for people with Moon/Saturn or Sun/Saturn conjunctions. I need to figure this one out.

I have a cap moon and this resonated strongly with me. Hard to open up sexually and really get into it and get down if I don't feel the other person is meeting my needs.. 'you waiver one inch and you're doomed'-- haha, indeed...

sounds like you're totally figuring it out! Maybe you dig the emotional/egoic responsibility of the sun/sat and moon/sat folks... but actually being cap goes too far? You want the responsibility and structure to be in a different sphere, a lighter one... I totally get that (I have Uranus-Saturn and Neptune in cap as well--but my moon is conjunct my Neptune so I jive a little better with capricorn heavy folks probably than you...). Still, I can see wanting the structure and weight in the personality without wanting a capricorn. Sometimes I find it too heavy and annoying too.. I think it's the Uranus/Saturn in cap thing.. We really get a big enough dose of it and wanting to break free from rules is all bound up within it... so it's nice to see it playing out in... other signs... heh.

Yes, totally! Indeed, in Capricorn it becomes too much. My Saturn just likes to be the boss and he want's no competition :-D
Oh yeah my Cap Uranus is in the 10th quincunx Mars and Mercury. I hate authority in all its forms loool. But I do appreciate some maturity/rationality when it's combined with sense of humour. I have no patience for boring people.
Ah you have Moon/Neptune. LOL I have Moon/Pluto in Scorpio I tend to feel like others are try to dominate me (even if it's just in my head), and Capricorn predominant people can feel a bit moralistic/restrictive on me. But I know it's a issue I have.
I'm too moody and erratic

ah... yup that makes sense! I like the idea of that quincunx... mars-uranus, and mercury too even though it's probably super challenging at least it's funny. Is it a yod then? Or are Mars/Mercury conjunct?

My Uranus/Saturn is square Mars... I don't know if I hate authority but I see through it when it's illegitimate and more than question it, not always outwardly I suppose because illegitimate authority delusion is rampant in this world...

hmm yeah that makes sense. I don't like feeling dominated at all, don't tolerate it at all. I'm a quadruple Scorpio (asc, sun, mercury-pluto, does quadruple sound apt?). I totally feels ya. I think that's some of where I buck against fellow Capricorns... but I also reeaaally like them. That moon again, totally jiving with the emotional comfort of that stoic/assertive cap vibe.
