I agree with deepfreeze. Cap influences just delay things, it doesn't mean it'll never happen.

There's no problem with waiting to find someone you really like. Better to get things right the first time than go through a divorce and try again. I'm on the second boat. I'm actually very Saturnian but I got married young and after splitting up I became all cautious. Better to just hold out until you find someone that will make up happy and will fulfill your needs.

I am sorry to be picky but as an egalitarian, I am offended by the term and I'm not alone.

As is obvious by the presence of "maid".. this term is clearly not gender neutral.
The term is not "old unmarried person".. It is "old maid" .. as in "old unmarried woman
".. and aimed in a disparaging, humiliating way towards *women* who choose not to marry - or who remain unmarried for other reasons.

There is no equivalent, disparaging term for men.

I honestly don't feel like I am being out of line here in pointing out that this can be offensive.

You're right regarding what it means.

Anyone calls me an old maid, or a spinster, and I hurt you.

"Aaaahhh look at ALL the lonely people"

OFF TOPIC:
Can anyone suggest me some good astrologer, who would look into my chart (only from 'love&marriage' perspective) and to whom I could pay per post not per paypal or sth like that, becuase I am not from States...

You could try
Milan Sasis- he is in Novi Sad-Serbia.
I see you are in Slovenia, so he could be perfect for you, as far as the language too.
he is a great astrologer..you can look him up on facebook too, he has a group where he posts biweekly horoscopes.
I have used him in the past- I consult him once a year for a solar return, and he is pretty accurate and in depth..

hope this helps!

I feel your pain. I also have an intercepted 1st/7th house but with Cap on the DSC. And I also have Saturn in the 8th and my chart ruler (the moon) located in the 12th. I have the same issue where nobody ever seems to be on the same plane or wavelength as me emotionally and intellectually. It IS weird, I agree. It's also exhausting. :/

I have the same problem... finding someone, that I would like, is so hard for me. But I must admit, I do want to commit. Someday in the future...

Wow I have similar placements. Except for jupiter, I have leo jupiter.

I've been off the market for a few years now. Jupiter in the 7th could indicate multiple marriages. Eeek. This placement is the 1st thing I stare at whenever I look at my chart.

Dear people hello once again. To the ones offended by the term "Old maid", please accept my apologies. It was really more to reflect how desperate and alone I felt at the time of this post, which was due to my last semi-relationship failing.

I wonder does the natal chart set things in stone, or can a person overcome the negative aspects? How much of a person's life is self determination and how much is faith?

For example, if you have predisposition to addiction in your natal chart, there are many things you can do to counteract that --you can do meditation practices, you can go to therapist, many many things.

There must be something possible a person can do to overcome bad patterns in relationships...and to form such a relationship. and I hope I can find it in time.

One thing that really makes me feel bad is that due to my ambitions, I left my country and has been traveling and living in foreign countries for my whole youth --countries where the cultures are different than my own. I am more or less sure that I would have been married by now if I was in my own country.
Of course then I would have other regrets. But I feel extremely guilty and incomplete,
especially in front of my parents --they so much want to see grandchildren.

Ironically , most of my planets are in my 3rd quadrant, so really I live life in projection. Relationships and other people are very important for me, not just as yearning, but also because they help me form my own personality.

I read that water sign on your descendant signifies more than one marriage. (which means divorse).

Omg she has alot of hard influences. I always wondered about sun/neptune, does she have any addictions/ does she live in illusions is she prone to escapism?

Uranus conjunct Venus I imagine is exactly "short" relationships or rebel unconventional relationships. [/QUOTE

Yes she does , have addictions ( alcohol ) to the point she nearly had to have surgery ! not an easy fate I suppose she is trying though through counselling ! A very lovable person , but guys just seem to use her .

oh Netune Neptune. The more pleasure a planet brings potentially, the more pain it can bring as well...
I am very sorry about your friend and I hope she manages to find balance.

No it does not, and remember synastry… try to find out what you really need, and find out which aspect is good for you to have in synastry

Personally I don't work well with pluto aspects in synastry, or harsh mars aspects…
But for others that might be what they need in order how to learn to assert themselves in life, or what do I know..

And with the years you should hopefully be able to learn from your mistakes, so you can grow - every aspect has a good and bad sides. The houses I feel is more karmic, explaining your "overall" and general karma in life though… so that one is tricky. But every house placement is also linked to a planet and it's aspect.

So yeah, I think you are able to control your own energy with time and direct it into something positive or negative

I've heard, Jupiter in 7th is the one that indicates multiple marriages when it is in Gemini... How is it for other sings, no idea so far...

p.s. You mentioned being off the market for a few years - Since you have venus conj. saturn, may I ask how old are you and when did you enter in current relationship? I must admit, venus/saturn aspect gives me so much to think lately...

I have these aspects
That explains everything, I'm 45 and I've been a spinster for years
- sun in combustion with Mars (6°) in Capricorn
- Venus conjunct Uranus (1°) in Scorpio
- mars trine saturn
Furthermore, Mars is exalted and Uranus is exalted
and venus is in detriment

We need a new term for this. A lot of women don’t want to be married.

I use self-partnered, to indicate that I'm single and NOT looking to mingle.

I'm not going to ever marry or have a family, but I simply have no interest, so a bit of a different situation than OP.
