As the title says, why is it that Scorpio women seek out a simple man or wish their man to be a simple man? I could do some internet research but Scorpio is a hot topic here and want to here what he masses say.IP: Logged |

I hadn't come across that, certainly not in any Linda Goodman books. Since the essence of Scorpio is transformation (for better and/or worse) it doesn't seem a simple man would appeal to her, at least not for that reason (and only considering her sun sign). Though presumably the simple man is loyal and that would appeal (but at the same time if she doesn't walk the straight and narrow herself he may not be "loyal enough"). IP: Logged |

The scorpio women I know, definitely not want a simply man, actually it's more like the opposite, they jump from the most complicated relationship to the next that seems even worse… maybe they will get tired of the drama, but they are scorpio after all, they kind of looooove drama IP: Logged |

Same could apply to: Aries women Taurus women Gemini women Cancer women Leo women Virgo women Libra women Sagittarius women Capricorn women Aquarius women Pisces women Its not one sided and applied to just one. We're all simply human, there is no better answer than that. IP: Logged |

I don't think that applies to me.Recently I've discovered that I greatly enjoy some qualities usually assigned to the sign of Taurus (which is, in my opinion, the most "basic" and "simple" sign of all) such as stability, perseverance and loyalty, but if that's all there is to it, forget it. There's gotta be some complexity in there, either emotional or intellectual. I must admit I enjoy some drama. But that's hardly the case for all Scorpios. IP: Logged |

As a Scorpio woman, I don't like "simple men". They bore me to death! I like a man with a bit of depth. Mystery and drama are my thing! I dated a Taurus who was a great man but he was too serious. I dated a crazy Pisces ... haha, drama was his thing. I can't date someone who is "too simple", it's boring. I want passion, fireworks, mystery, a bit of funny drama. I want a man I can't figure out (sometimes) otherwise, it's not fun! That's why I usually go for Pisces men or Geminis. Mutable signs tend to keep me on my toes. IP: Logged |

Thank you for the responses, I have been told by one Scorpio woman who gives out advice online routinely and have read at least once that the simple man is the one who is sought but 'simple' I guess is up for interpretation. To me simple means doesn't throw curve balls or pull fast ones, which is what I was kind of getting at but as Barbie said that can probably be said for a lot of women out there. IP: Logged |

Yep, we have different definitions. Simple men have easily defined lives that just go with the flow and don't really make waves as they're so ordinary and easily predictable, which is boring to some but comforting to others.Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd (I heard this quite a bit growing up): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMmTkKz60W8 Mama told me when I was young Come sit beside me my only son And listen closely to what I say And if you do this it'll help you some sunny day. Oh Yah! Oh take your time don't live too fast troubles will come and they will pass Go find a woman and you'll find love And don't forget son there is someone up above And be a simple kind of man Oh be something you love and understand Baby be a simple kind of man Oh won't you do this for me son if you can? Forget your lust, for the rich man's gold All that you need is in your soul And you can do this Oh baby if you try All that I want for you my son is to be satisfied And be a simple kind of man Oh be something you love and understand Baby be a simple kind of man Oh won't you do this for me son if you can? Boy don't you worry, you'll find yourself Follow your heart and nothing else And you can do this Oh baby if you try All that I want for you my son is to be satisfied Baby be a simple kind of man Oh won't you do this for me son if you can? Baby be a simple, be a simple man. IP: Logged |

How could I forget? Some define "simple" as "stupid." Proverbs 14 considers a simple man to be naive at best (Proverbs 14:15 "The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going"). That's not how I think of it (unless the context suggests that). IP: Logged |

Could it be that maybe Scorpio's natural 7th house partner is the sign of the Bull-Taurus? But I wouldn't say that ALL Scorpio women seek a "simple" man. Some Scorpio women with Uranus in 7th/5th, Neptune in 7th/5th love a bit of complexity. Also, Gemini/Aries men appeal to a lot of Scorpio females. And I would not say that Gem and Aries are "simple". Adding to the chorus of "what is a simple man?" questions. That said, I like a man who is... emotionally uncomplicated, for the lack of a better word. Brooding turns me off. IP: Logged |

Awesome song, although I personally prefer the Deftones cover. And yeah, I also wanted to ask the OP what was meant exactly by "simple". Either way, I think perhaps older Scorpio women would appreciate simplicity, after a good chunk of their life spent in drama-filled scenarios and complex situations, ha. IP: Logged |

I prefer Shinedown's cover. Being covered so many times means it is a well loved song within the music industry.Simple is a delusion, things may appear simple but they very rarely are, just depends how deeply you want to get to know someone or get Involved with something. ------------------ Learn lots. Don't judge. Laugh for no reason. Be nice. Seek Happiness. Follow your dreams. IP: Logged |

That version lacks substance. In the beginning I wanted to say that most things and people are actually simple once you get to know them/understand them, but then I had like a gazillion opposing examples pop up in mind, so I gave up trying to come up with a conclusive response. I guess there's visible simplicity and there's hidden simplicity. But then maybe it's not really simplicity. Either way, learning to enjoy it is essential if one wants to live a fulfilling life, methinks. Well I guess it depends on the person.

Depends on the person I think. I know a lot of scorpios that have settled down. I know a couple that jump from one train wreck to the next. However, I think all Scorpio looks for is emotional comfort, but some of them of about finding it in ways that aren't so straightforward. Like causing drama to see how their partner will react, to see if the partner truly cares, and to see if they pass the test.IP: Logged |
