Which zodiac signs do you think correspond the best to each house.

I am using 3 signs for each house.

Gryffindor - Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
Aries for the me-first attitude, being encouraged and always try to be the best and for competitiveness and risk-taking. Leo for loyalty and pride. Sagittarius for optimism.

Hufflepuff - Cancer, Taurus, Pisces.
Cancer for protectiveness and loyalty, Taurus for security and friendliness, and pisces for helping and serving others for free out of compassion.

Ravenclaw - Gemini, Virgo and Aquarius.
Gemini and virgo for intelligence obviously, quick-thinking and cleverness and aquarius for the doer of right and an open mind about things.

Slytherin - Scorpio, Capricorn, Libra.
Scorpio for power and passion. The seek for forbidden knowledge and never accepting failure. Capricorn for high standards, reputation and good position. And libra for charm and good tacts, which hides their scorpio side.

I don't even like Ravenclaw

Me (Libra on Scorpio cusp sun & stellium and Water Dog, Sag stellium, notable Scorp Jupiter, Leo ASC): Ravenclaw. I'm a pretty big fan (though not total fangirl) so I can speak with certainty.

Other fans of the series (read books as well, the Cancer and Leo are major fans):

Sag sun (Metal Dog), Gem ASC, Cap Mercury, Scorpio Venus & Mars, Cancer moon identifies as Ravenclaw

Cancer sun (and Fire Ox), Virgo ASC & NN, Leo merc & Venus (12H), Libra moon and Mars identifies as Gryffindor (and pretty much sees Hermione Granger as a role model that she emulates).

Leo Sun (and Water Horse) & Merc & Mars (and Jupiter), Aqua ASC, Taurus moon, Virgo Venus identifies as Gryffindor.

The following two are only somewhat familiar with the HP universe having only watched a few of the movies and needing me to explain the question more to them before they could answer:

Aqua sun & Venus (Metal Rooster), Gemini ASC, Pisces moon and Merc and Mars says she'd be a Hufflepuff as they seemed to get hassled the least...and her favorite character, by far, is Tonks (to the point she wishes the movies had been about Tonks instead of Potter, and she was angry about Tonks not showing up as a ghost with Remus in the movie as if Tonks got ditched). In fact, she asked me what Tonks was before she gave me her answer.

It doesn't work that clearly in actual people sorted into houses in sorting communities out there. People are never their Sun-sign only either, so sub-houses or leanings feature whatever the case.

Slytherin house had Leo, Capricorn, Scorpio and Cancer featuring the most, Pisces the least. Think prestige, status, success, perhaps money or security, going somewhere and getting somewhere, and you had Slytherin. Of course this had little to do with the actual sorting hat, and there was the one lone very ambitious Pisces as well, but if going by what applicants wrote and how sorting members then saw them, Slytherin members were easy to see when there was a tally of who was what sign.

I think I was thinking of the fixed signs,b ecause Slytherin seems so Scorpionic to me,

Interestingly though the Phoenix (as well as the eagle) was originally a Scorpio-symbol.

Snape was reputedly Capricorn. Doesn't mean that Percy Weasley or Harry Potter the Leos wouldn't have been Gryffindors, or that there might not be those Pisces Slytherins as said, but if you want people who are ambitious or likely to want some sort of success, prestige or status in life, element alone will not give enough clues.
