Hi!I've read Janduz degrees, omega symbols, and sabian symbols but my favorite, thus far, is Inside Degrees by Ellias Lonsdale http://aquaorfire.net/astrology/inside_degrees/inside_degrees.html Let me know what you think of them.

Bumping this amazing share. Really awesome. I looked up my Leo sun, Gemini moon, Libra asc, and Virgo mercury. Man... Unbelievable just how "12th" my chart seems set up for. Crazy.. They had that feel in the description. I have mars, mercury, and Venus there. Also, as someone pointed out, by rulership, my 1st, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 12th itself all serve the 12th. Thanks for sharing it! IP: Logged |

Yes, this is amazing! I didn't even see this thread. Thanks, DF, for bumping. The degree description for my Saturn is absolutely breath-taking. I'm actually tripping at how on point it is. I have yet to decode the rest, though I've read them all. Lovely! IP: Logged |

Whoa thanks, I love degree interpretations, from these ones mine are intense, freakishly and sometimes unfortunately accurate. Gave me tons of goosebumps, even a couple of tears!IP: Logged |

Read a few of these for myself. A friend of mine introduced me to these a few years ago. I still find them a little too esoteric/arcane/obscure for my taste but I can see them overlapping the more I think about themI prefer the Janduz - it looks like to me that the symbols overlap and tell the same story but for my mind the Lonsdale symbols are harder to understand. My Mars is an example though clear than most - Janduz "A lavishly dressed man rides a beautiful horse. His right hand brandishes a sabre, and his left hand holds the reins. Although his mount rears at snakes crossing its path, the rider easily keeps the horse under his control." (Janduz version) Brave, ostentatious, and generous character endowed with organisation skills and self-confidence in one's strength. One has a very independent lifestyle and is always prepared to stand up for one's opinion. Success can be achieved in all occupations involving horses, or in a career in medicine, surgery, diplomacy, or religion. However, instead of showing off and trying to brutally impose one's beliefs, one must pay more respect to other people's feelings and ideas, lest all sorts of setbacks crop up. Indeed, this degree also warns against possible fall from grace, violence, or treachery. Lonsdale ARIES 2 Old stone steps descending into darkness. Held back by barriers that are formidable. Up against yourself hard, you are shadowboxing with personal propensities for becoming swept away by the lower self. You take a perverse thrill in adopting the stance that is rebellious, angry, and distinctive. Driven by impulse to constellate the archetype of the one in trouble, of the outlaw, of the dark stranger. In love with the idea of being self-consciously different, and running wild with it. Bursts and episodes. You get taken over and played through. This is adolescence in its most naked terms, but very hard to outgrow. The one who will not apologize, who does not change. Convinced that being against is a strong position. A very easy character to project upon, for all of life is sensed as a continuous projection and reality is up for grabs and hard to find.

These Chandra Symbols have great meaning for me. My favorite also. I know I wrote something about them before on LL. IP: Logged | |
