I don't know if I'm beating a dead horse or not, trying to make this a major configuration when it refuses to be

I'm interested to hear more about it. I've noticed it in charts, but never really paid any attention to it, because as you mentioned, there's not much said about it.

I have one with Pluto, Mercury, and Saturn.
My husband and my brother have them, also. My son and dad don't have any, but my mom has one with a wide orb/out of sign square (7d orb).

Yay, replies! Hi gals

I have no idea what to make of it, I guess it's up to us to try and figure it out, since no one else will?

Now that I know how to recognize these (yay!) I see that my mom and dad both have these, too. They also both have yods, like me, so I suppose that makes it a little easier.

Mom:

Saturn-Pluto-Neptune
Moon-Sun-Pluto

Dad:

Pluto-Saturn-Neptune
Venus-Pluto-Saturn
Pluto-Moon-Saturn

I'll add more as I find them.

It`s maybe a little crazymaking (or only OURS? ).

The combination of such different energy-flow (smooth with the trine, pushy with the square, and sort of swing-like with the quinkunx).

it puts things together that have not that much in common. Well not true, two planets have the same element, the other two the same modality. But the third does not fit.

example

Moon-Pluto in Cappy: cardinal Earth
Satrn in Virgo: mutable Earth
Sun in Gemini: mutable air

I suspect it is a bit like dominos falling due to them being pulled into that magnetic field (the closed aspect figure), despite every aspect on its own, would probably not want to face the other, but here they must work together. Somehow. Wobbly, awkwardly possibly, with that weird mix of challenge and harmony and the lopsidedness in between.

I guess the square/quinkunx corner is where the trouble/ most dynamic is (the magi call it the power corner I think)
And the trine-quinkunx, might introduce a little more ease, though with the quinkunx well, I imagine it being like you have to walk over a plank bridge during a hurricane.

But I have no real clue. lol

Never did find a good reading on this configuration....

Omg i forgot about this thread!

I read what i wrote and i got confused myself... lolol so don't worry about it.

I have 3 trine-square-quincunx triangles and 3 sextil-square-quincunx triangles in my natal chart.

I never looked further into how these configurations effect me though but all of these triangles involve chiron so it must be uncomfortable for me at times but there will be life learning lessons too..?

Oh, I meant, I was confused about these triangles altogether. Not much information on them.

@Ceri ~ Thank you!

It sounds so accurate though!

Crazymaking...hmm...do you think it's a kind of eccentricity that sorta sticks its head out, but keeps the rest private?

The trine wants to stand out, no inhibitions
The quincunx pulls back and is unsure
The square lays on the brake

So people might sense, when we express the trine, that there is also just a taint of struggle, and also some kind of hidden baggage that affects how we play that trine (?).

In my case, Cap sun square Libra Pluto is never satisfied with itself, sun quincunx Gemini Mars has to fidget with expression a lot...Mars TRINE Pluto seems almost over-eager to talk things out until everything seems fair and balanced and nice, or to speak out when there is injustice, despite my hang-ups about not being able to talk right, and my insecurities from sun square Pluto.

Thank you, I knew you had a special name for one of the corners, but I forgot what it was. Looked this up and found:

quote:
Mystical Triangle
A minimum of three planets making 1 trine, 1 square, 1 quincunx forming an asymmetrical triangle. Can indicate harmony and synergy, but much depends on the planets and their positions . A more negative planet such as Saturn at the juncture of the square and quincunx can be cause for concern. Easier to deal with in financial situations than in romantic relationships.

quote:
In Magi Astrology, in the above chart the triangle that is formed by the blue lines is called a Mystical Triangle and it is one of the most powerful figures of Planetary Geometry that three planets can form.

A mystical triangle tells us even more than a Grand Trine.

Not done researching, I just dread hitting that wall of, "Now pay to learn more."
