I still think it's coincidence. Never liked the theory much.

I mean there's a little nuance here -

If by my Moon and Saturn states a person thinks they can determine what my parents are then I think it's reaching

But if they mean by my Moon and Saturn my relationship to them I think this has a little more ground but a flimsy muddy dirty smelly ground because I think my whole chart determines my relationships with my parents and their chart.

But, perhaps, if the chart is a map of our lives then I guess mommy and daddy are represented in there.

I'm very undecided

I once interpreted a chart and said "...your parents are (...) and at least one of them is Scorpio" and I immediately got an amazed reply: "both! they are both Scorpios!"

But yeah, I was reaching, he had Aries sun and Moon opposite Pluto

And on topic: I second Saturn in the 12th, also unaspected Sun.

Sun/Neptune can indicate an absent father. The father can be elusive, slippery, hard to pin down, both figuratively and literally. The father can embody the qualities of Neptune, both the high and low.He could be a drunk or drug addict,a gambler, drifter,a ne'er do well, unreliable, etc
Or he could be a perfectly nice guy,a real spiritual and evolved person.A well-meaning.Even a poetic type.Someone you idealize and look up to.

My father wasn't very active in my life. He was there but not constant and not in the home from very early childhood.

I saw sun-Jupiter and I have the square.
Only minor aspect to Pluto.

My father was a mix of the good and the bad that you describe.

Spot on, all of those things apart from the addict part - however, he was a heavy drinker for years and only stopped recently because of the health problems the drinking gave him.

Neptune conjuncts my Sun by 0°21s.

Ive noticed retrograde Chiron being in the 10th when the father wasnt 'around'/there were paternal issues, with some pretty heavy aspects.

I also know someone with Chiron in the 10H in Capricorn. His father was an alcoholic who wasn't there for him.

My dad was non existent and I read one aspect on here so far that I do have....scorp Uranus square leo Saturn

Funny my dad was a scorp and my mom a leo.
Mom was very authoritarian and the couple times I saw my dad he was party, party, party....which my mom chewed him out for.

I am a female but I have a 22degrees Sun opposite 22degrees Saturn and loah and behold I have "daddy issues".Lol. He was super strict. he was rarely home he liked to keep busy. I realized this later in life when I moved out. My friends wouldn't even want to come visit me because my father would make them work. He was eighter sarcastic or angry, "my way or the highway" kind of attitude.
Although recently I've started to understand my father and our relationship a bit better. I'm 24 and I am just starting to understand him now. Better late than never.
he has Sun in Libra, Moon in Capricorn whereas I ha've a Sun in Cancer, Moon in Aries. So we are squares and oppositions. We only get along when we don't live under the same roof.

In addition to Sun/Saturn aspect, the placement of Saturn also indicates relationship with the father.

Retrograde Saturn or Saturn in fall/detriment often indicates a distant/absent father. I have noticed that Saturn in hard aspect to the angles shows a lot of responsibility placed on the child. I have noticed that in traditional societies, if a female has Saturn/Ascendant the family usually wanted a male child instead.
