Saturn in the 12th house AND the 1st house was just about the worst time of my life thus far. Things became very desperate. I was plagued with difficulties that I could not understand why were occuring. That was the biggest issue. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY OR WHAT TO DO. I kept running into the same ****** people that were no good for me and made me feel awful. I experienced my share of injustice. I felt alone, misunderstood, and as if there was no light at the end of the tunnel. There wasn't a lot of positive memories to look back upon and I don't think years later I will look back upon that period in my life and treasure anything. More so like a forgotten nightmare. Things didn't get much better when Saturn moved into the 1st house. Actually they got worse and multiplied. When it was first there, it was like having Saturn in the 12th house but with more challenges. I did not know how to deal with them. As they progressed and as I was challenged more, in the 1st house, I began to master them more and more. Now Saturn is in edging towards the end of my 1st house and I feel life is moving in a positive direction forward. I feel in a way that I survived a nightmare of three years and although their are still problems as Saturn was in the 12th house, I understand them completely now and deal with them quite easily. Saturn in the 12th house gave me problems with no solution or what to do about them. Saturn in the 1st made them worse, but with clear solutions-difficult challenges by god. It lead to a lot of self control and self mastery in particular. There is no handbook or set of rules on how to deal with them either. All of them are very close and personal to you. IP: Logged |

Whoa SerpeantKing you're freaking me out! That does not sound like fun. Do you mind sharing what kinds of difficulties you faced or is it too personal?IP: Logged |

By the way: this was when I was briefly excited to try therapy, but it cost too much and I couldn't settle on on person to see. A woman I thought would be a good match, ended up being in Colorado half the time, and she invited us to sign up for her retreats there, that cost thousands of dollars. No, thank you! It's a shame, because if I'd been able to go four years ago, it might have made the past four years easier to deal with. IP: Logged |

Hey teasel that does sound like a shame. I also have a really hard time with decisions especially health care practitioners as there are so many different ones/kinds! So was transit Saturn in your 12th/1st for the last few years? Do you have any planets in these houses? Did anything significant happen as it transited Asc? Sounds like you have been through a lot and it also sounds like not many people have a good time with the Saturn transit 12th.IP: Logged |

Consider yourself lucky that you don't have saturn conjunct sun in the 12th in your natal chart. Who has that? This guy!IP: Logged |

I just went through the period, which ended for me in December 2014.Saturn in 12th house was definitely rough for me. But most of it was pretty similar to Saturn in 11th house in terms of social isolation, etc. The big shock and change was pretty noticeable in Saturn in 11th house, and by the time Saturn went through my 12th house I was used to it. I had only some nice trines with Saturn trine my natal sun, mercury and venus while it went through my 12th house. I should also say that I have a good amount of Saturn in my chart with Saturn in 1st natally. Saturn went through the 12th house during my 2nd to the beginning of my 4th year of medical school. Right through my clinical hospital year. I was warned ahead of time that I would exposed to illness, death and institutions. Very curiously I really didn't see that much death in the hospitals during that year. But things were different in my personal life. My father (unexpected) and closest uncle (kind of expected) also passed away towards the end of the Saturn in 12th. Other than the deaths, this period wasn't particular bad. I was also used to quiet after Saturn went through 11th. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing Cecile! I am feeling that way with Saturn currently transiting the 11th, it felt like when it was in the 10th, I had all these people wanting to hang out with me all the time, but I didn't have the time/energy/desire to hang out with them then (I had Saturn transiting 4 planets in the 10th at this time) and now that it is in the 11th it feels like everyone has disappeared, not just the randoms that wanted to be friends, but long term friends as well (except for 1), are not as there for me or we are not as close as I had thought/desire. So I've been wondering how much more isolated it's going to be once it hits the 12th. Hopefully not much more. Its funny cause for so many years that's all I really wanted, was isolation and to just escape from society, and now that I am isolated and feeling alone, all I want is to have close friendships and a feeling of community that I don't know how to and that seems impossible to acquire. Life's so annoying that way.IP: Logged |

I've been looking at Julian Assange's chart. When the Embassy became his home, Saturn was transitting his 12th H. Interesting huh?IP: Logged |

It makes me sad that a lot of you didn't enjoy tSaturn in your twelfth houses. You see, my Moon and Pluto are in Scorpio, so Saturn in Scorpio was not a pleasant time for me. Saturn (in Sagittarius now) entered my twelfth house just over a month ago, and I feel that it has brought me clarity that I've never had before. In the past month, I've made a decision that I feel is in line with my destined career path. Saturn returns to Scorpio later this year, unfortunately, but since I've already hit rock bottom, I'm sure I'll be able to handle whatever Saturn has left to throw at me while it's in my twelfth house. Saturn is going to play a big part in the next 5 years of my life as it passes my Ascendant, natal Saturn, and 5 other placements. And with Saturn at home in Capricorn, I have to be optimistic of what's to come. ------------------ Chart IP: Logged |

Thanks CupofDavid, glad to hear you are finding some clarity with your Saturn in 12th Transit!I took a quick peek at your chart and if you look at your chart with an Equal House perspective then your 12th House technically begins at 20 degrees Scorpio, thereby placing your Moon in the 12th as well, and it also would mean that you have been in the thick of your 12th House transit for some time now! I don't know if maybe you can correlate to any of this but maybe try reading up Moon in 12th natal placement and see if it feels just as - if not more - accurate than in the 11th. Are you finding the Saturn in 12th transit isolating? I hope I can find some clarity during mine as you have. IP: Logged |

Yes, very indicative of Saturn in the 12H. IP: Logged |

Thankfully, there were some air holes in it so I could breathe, meaning people seemed to have realized I wasn't really dead. I opened it, climbed out and went to the house where my whole family was busy celebrating something. They were happy to see me alive, but not unduly excited; after some time, someone suggested I should now go back to the garden and bury the other one who was still in the coffin. I went to do that and indeed, there was my dead body in the coffin. After looking down at it for a while, I buried it with my own hands.) Sorry for the morbid imagery but I think that dream quite nicely describes a new relationship with bodily health emerging, and it fits with that transit as well.
No, not morbid, interesting. Thanks for sharing! IP: Logged |

Hi, deepseablues, I thought this article may be timely with your 12H Saturn transit, although it's about the 12H and not the Saturn transit specifically. Contemplating the 12th House - An Optimist's Take on Self-Undoing In this profoundly personal memoir, Anne Whitaker tells of her Neptunian experiences, an epic ‘night sea journey’ that includes the paranormal and an appreciation of the findings of quantum physics. http://www.astro.com/astrology/aa_article150302_e.htm IP: Logged |

I know I have experienced this transit, but, it was a while ago. The only thing that sticks out for me was when Saturn conj my Rising degree, my oldest daughter was born. Then 7 years later when Saturn squared my rising degree, my youngest was born. So Saturn transiting my 12th was a blur. Though natally, I have it in the 12th. IP: Logged |

No, I had no idea! Thanks! I love how the Chinese paint them, so ethereal. Our local nursery has them now. Blooms, oh, maybe six inches across! IP: Logged |

That fits. Transiting Saturn on the ASC equates with a new sense of identity. Becoming a parent certainly means that and also changes in one's worldview. One of the meanings of Saturn transiting the 4H is increased family responsibilities.
