editOh I see what you're doing, Odette. Cute website. Here's one to fill in the void for Capricorn sun. My husband has said stuff like this to me many times: "I know you. You're determined. If you set your mind on something, you'll do anything in your power to make it happen." IP: Logged |

Strangers often says "Cheer up!" to Cappy Asc. How does one be cheerful and bubbly when you are suffering with physical pain on painkillers!???

Thanks Faith! I will add this in for Capricorn quote: Odette. Cute website.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I really think Ami's idea to write articles on these posts (and others - as she has done in the past) is a fantastic idea. But I was thinking it would be great to have a place online where we can post these articles - and also, give credit to the people who contributed to writing them ____________
quote: Can I write an article and use these. They are so great. I won't use names but if you don't want me to use yours, tell me!
Ami, It would be awesome if you wrote more Lindaland inspired articles. If you are writing on tidbits, and copy/pasting - please put them up on this blog - not directly on your website. I can give you the login details. This way everyone gets credit for their posts! I love the writing style of many people here, and it would be great for us to use this blog, as our LL blog You can always then -add links- to these pages (collages of things written by the knowflakes) on your website. Please add something in the title to specify "written by the posters at lindaland" and a link to the original thread. I think this is only fair because this way, people don't get confused and think you wrote them yourself - when we all wrote them together. What do you think? PS. It goes without saying - If you write articles that are simply inspired by posts here, and not copy/pasted or paraphrased - then of course it is fine to pass these as your own work. But if you do copy/paste or paraphrase it's only fair ( not to mention nice) to give credit - because when something is paraphrased or copy/pasted it is not your own work. I am not just being picky for the sake of it. I've kind of had this plagiarism stuff drilled into my head at Uni. I know you meant no harm by doing this. You most likely simply didn't know. I am just letting you know now, so that in the future you can give credit to everyone who contributed. IP: Logged |

Years ago, right after my divorce, when I wondered whether I would remain alone, my Virgo Sun mom said to me:"Let's face it, you're not everybody's piece of cake." I think she was referring to my Scorp AC characteristics most of all, combined maybe with Pluto sq. Sun and Pl. opp. Moon. But it's also a very Virgo thing to say, isn't it? Since it was the truth I didn't mind hearing it. Other things I've heard said about me is that I seem very self-assured, calm, and fearless. None of which is really true, but I seem to project that image - again, that's probably the Scorp AC. And it's true that I'm not afraid of some of the things others are apparently afraid of, but there are definitely some things I fear. Several people have remarked over the years that I'm a terrible driver, as befits a 1st House Neptune tr. Moon and quincunx Sun person. I have trouble focusing on the traffic because my thoughts are always drifting to something more interesting, so these days I avoid driving altogether and use the train where I can daydream to my heart's content. Once when I was driving badly as usual, my Sag Sun/Virgo Moon and AC buddy made me stop the car in the middle of the road and shouted: "Move over, I'm driving now so you won't end up killing us!" I'm also known for having trouble with spatial orientation. The same Sag friend remarked, when she got a text from me informing her that due to a regrettable mix-up I'd just landed in Korea instead of South China where I'd originally planned to go: "WTF happened? Did they let YOU fly the plane?" H1 Neptune does give psychic abilities though. Once I gave a young colleague some advice on his career plans based on his personality traits which I'd observed (or rather, guessed). He became visibly pale and said: "Do you have a camera installed in my house? How the hell do you know these things about me?" Something I've often heard is that I seem very balanced and have a soothing effect on other people. I don't see that in myself at all but it could be a result of Leo Venus trine Aries Jupiter and trine Taurus Mars.

Well, my friends decided to come up with a nickname for me a while back... Apparently, I'm the "Surprise Talk"! That is because I have this incredible talent of saying the most unexpected things in conversations. Stuff you wouldn't think about, yet they come to me like a flash. The timings can be funny too. I blame this on my Mercury/Uranus square! IP: Logged |
