6th House Suns are more sensitive than others to their atmospheres and the environments they work in. They like to work hard and on their own. (And I think I read that they don't jive with hard cut-throat competitive atmospheres...)

Faith, your Mars makes 'needs-adjustments' aspect (quincunx) to your Sun in the 6th.

Careers didn't always exist. Astrology is very ancient and 1000's of years ago there wasn't any demand to go to school, get some fancy diploma and fill out job applications.

The Midheaven represents our LIFE PATH. Our consciousness in the world around us and how we interact and absorb it. I can tell SO MUCH about someone just by looking at their MC/IC axis ALONE. Plus since i follow the whole house system, it will make it more interesting if their MC/IC axis falls in their 11th/5th house or 9th/3rd etc...

Any contacts to your Midheaven point or the planet/asteroid that falls in the same sign as your midheaven will have such an incredible impact on your life. I keep reading stuff like "they will influence the job you choose" and I always laugh. Its more like "They will influence your self-awareness and what you are here to bring to the world, and you will influence each others destiny". I'm speaking from life experiences. Many fateful moments occurs during these contacts.

The MC/IC axis is pure consciousness from the root (IC) to the fruit (MC). The Sun represents what impacts our self-esteem, but our MC represents the highest point of that self-esteem and exactly where it needs to shine.

The four angles (ASC&MC particularly) and the Sun gives me boundless info to who a person is, why they are here, what they aware of (ASC&MC) and what will give their character the burning productive energy they need along the way (Sun)

Its deeper than just a career you guys. The MC is your fingerprint on this world. Your paintbrush (MC) and your many different colors (IC)

I completely agree. I think it's because people keep trying to remove the metaphysical/spiritual element of astrology and reduce it down to mundane terms. The Midheaven should be associated with life purpose and destiny first, then "career or professional ambitions".

**enthusiastic round of applause** 🌟🌟

You stated this perfectly. 💯 And it irks my nerves seeing so many astrologers making it ALL about career when it's clearly not. MC is also about the Legacy & Impact we leave on the world.

Take my Mother, for instance. She had both Venus & Jupiter conjunct her MC in Libra. 🩷 While living - she was known for her beauty, love of flowers, of interior design, of reading and for her endearing sense of humor. Nearly a decade after her passing - that is *still* what she is known for!! This MC is the "fingerprint" that she left with us. And it's so lovely.

My MC & Moon are in Cancer. 🌙🌕🌙 I also have Pallas Athene *exactly* conjunct MC as well and her story has always deeply resonated with me from a very young age. I'm not some advocate for Workaholics. It's just the opposite! Wanna see me go to war?? Abuse innocent Children, attack Women & Femininity, disrespect Family Values, etc... and I will eat your f--king a$$ ALIVE. 💯 I fight for the foundations needed to keep people's SOULS healthily in tact. Period. All that other ish is for the birds and is precisely why I reject much of our Modern Society.

I'm big on having intelligence & possessing your OWN brain. Being kind but also having backbone. 👍 People do often see me as a Nurturer and someone whom they can tell anything to. They know I'm sincere and will look out for them. And will show them a great time whenever they are in my presence. 💜 This will be my legacy! It goes far beyond career.

Midheaven is life path and destiny. Any planets conjunct the Midheaven are profound because the energy of that planet and whatever houses it rules embodies your souls mission and journey in this lifetimes and gives insight on how people perceive you.

I'm a sixth house Sun, and I like to work with other people around. Not jammed in somewhere, but just knowing they're there. I miss that, with my family. I could need some time alone, but be outside and know that they were inside. Or be in my room, and know that they would be there for dinner. Now I have too much time alone, and I hardly get anything done.

I definitely don't jive with cutthroat atmospheres, though.

I can resonate with it, maybe as having Virgo. I like when people somewhere around, but not being up to my arse.

And often people don’t know how I care and sad when somebody’s leaving some groups or a class is finished what I might be appeared not involved much with.
Uranus tr. 7th is hard on me this way as I feel new people come and go rather quickly.

If Aries is 6 am, And after every 2 hours as the sun crosses an zodiac sign, obviously, the midheaven at noon will tell you what kind of career you will have based on house and zodiac sign at the time. Many spend their entire life 's afternoon at work . Hence noon position zodiac sign matters.

I reimagine astro.com charts having a flip at the MC/DC axis with Asc facing east. Thus house #4 not #10 (western) becomes house of career.

But guess what, even if you are not correct on the house numbers, add 6 to it because the houses are opposite one another . So eastern 4 = western house #10 , 2 = 8 , and so on.

Therefore you have to look at the opposite house as well and then come to conclusion about the career. The whole analysis makes the subject wholly lol

That's the lie of Capitalism, baybee-- Our colonial culture of enslavement means most of us have correlated a career to our life path. Decolonize to find what it truly is \o/

The *obsession* our society has with career drives me nuts. It's overhyped beyond measure.

I believe the 10H and MC have a lot to do with how established you are or aren't in life in general.

I have Saturn in my 10H ruled by Aquarius squaring my 6H Scorpio stellium.

So although I have truly mastered day to day living (ESTABLISHING a routine), I have yet to expand further into broader territory.

A lot of people my age have careers, families, 401Ks, etc.

I barely have a checking account and a way to work from one year to the next.. and it's been this way since I graduated college.

Stunted growth and/ or a different approach in life expansion. Saturn in Aquarius on the MC.

Things are a little harder for me being that Transit Pluto and Saturn are on my MC as well.. but i still think I can recognize and separate the two (now, anyway lol).

Just my two cents.

welp with all this Scorpio stuff squaring my NN and MC. I changed jobs, it is really screwing over my current place and they deserve it. This is my last week at awful job.
It's intensified with Uranus and Jupiter in Taurus.
I had an exit interview where they basically shamed me and tried to make me feel dumb for quitting and looking for another job.
I am dead to the owner of the company. I told myself to feel nothing for that. This woman said to my face that I could probably find low income apartment's around the area in the Spring that did not sit right with me. Then I got to hear about how ridiculously nice her house is at lunch yesterday.
Guess what after the shame meeting on Friday I called off on Monday. They changed their tone by Tuesday.

Good points about why charts are cast for noon and why relationships between houses matters. 🙏

Thanks for sharing. 🙏Saturn rules blockages so wherever it shows up is where we encounter impediments to our lives.

Being on the MC, your Saturn is more significant blockage than someone who has it floating about in the 10th. It can show you “what” your progress is being blocked by - the sign it is in.

Example. I also have Saturn in the 10th, in detriment. Yours is dignified Saturn so I was surprised it behaved that way in your chart. 🤔

Befitting the sign it is in, the hinderance for me had to do with husband (Sun) and children (again Sun).

My husband also has Saturn in the 10th in Gemini. There are some helpful sextiles to it from his 12th house planets. It also conjuncts Venus and squares Moon on the Pisces DC.
People have to get to know him to like him; communication that isn’t of a serious nature is hard or close to impossible. More so with Merc RX, chart ruler in the 12th. He is known for Venus conjunct Saturn in Gemini = serious communication only.

Summarily the 10th can show what we are known for, not just our careers and malefics therein can make life difficult BUT befitting what they are (Saturn = time) can improve with a major transit to them.
