My nephew has this so I have done some research on it. NN in H1 will be learning to have confidence and be independent--in your former life--you mastered being in a relationship (H7) and so there's so much comfort in being in a partnership. BUT, it's time to shine on your own.. IP: Logged |

The North Node represents qualities which we are here to learn, integrate in our personality, and express. So being self-obsessed is not something "typical" of a person with their NN in 1H. The SN in the 1H however *could* manifest as being self-obsessed. I know someone with this placement (1H SN) and yes, they've been self-obsessed during their entire life. 1H NN carries the risk of swinging too much into independence, even isolation. Relationships, especially romantic ones, can bring pain early in life, since the 7H SN is a "comfort zone" we should be moving away from. As the previous poster said, 1H NN is about shining on your own, but in order for this to happen the person needs to stop identifying with their relationships so when they start losing their personality in a relationship, they get burned. Their 1H NN will never leave them alone until they embrace their own individuality. Since it's an axis, usually the person will swing from one extreme to the other - either seeking comfort in relationships or avoiding them altogether and being happy on their own. If the latter happens, they could be considered "self-obsessed" on the outside, but under the surface they are consciously or unconsciously trying to find and get in touch with their sense of self. - a 1H NNer IP: Logged |

This was an awesome explanation of 1H NN! Honestly, better than most I have read! I have this placement as well, in Pisces, which can add confusion haha.

I have this placement in Virgo. I am trying to develop and focus on myself because I have found I was dragged by other things/people and felt tired.

I have this placement in Taurus. So I'm supposed to move away from obsessive relationships with Scorpio type themes of power struggles and dominance. Move away from the ideas of the house that holds my Sun and Venus. Pluto squares my Sun and Venus, sextiles my Merc. Move away they say. UH huh! And for an extra dash of fun, I get to try to become more independent and Taurus like while having a Libra Moon and Mars. God has a sense of humor! IP: Logged |
