Share your ascendant and chart ruler based on Esoteric astrology! If you want help tell me your ascendant and I will tell your ESOTERIC Chart Ruler!Esoteric Astrology brings about a return to an ancient knowledge which related the constellations and our solar system, drew attention to the nature of the zodiac and informed humanity as to the basic interrelations which govern and control the phenomenal and subjective worlds, personified for example by the symbol of the sphinx representing the union of spirit and matter and their relation to each other, a fact that made ancient astrologers merge Virgo-Leo into one sign. Esoteric astrology works from the universal to the particular and from the general to the specific as opposed to modern astrology which has reversed the true and right procedure and has laid the emphasis upon the specific and particular, upon the personal horoscope and the individual destiny, and has not laid the emphasis upon the great energies and their Sources. These Sources are ultimately responsible for the manifestation of the specific. Thus, constellations, solar systems, planets, kingdoms in nature and microscopic man are all of them the result of the activity and the manifestation of energy of certain Lives Which play through the ether of space. Space is thus considered an entity, and it is with the life of this entity and with the forces and energies, the impulses and the rhythms, the cycles and the times and seasons that esoteric astrology deals. Sign/Orthodox Ruler/Esoteric Ruler Aries Mars Mercury Taurus Venus Vulcan Gemini Mercury Venus Cancer Moon Neptune Leo Sun Sun Virgo Mercury Moon Libra Venus Uranus Scorpio Mars Mars Sagittarius Jupiter Earth Capricorn Saturn Saturn Aquarius Uranus Jupiter Pisces Jupiter Pluto

This is really interesting. I'll do some research. What does Earth represent in an horoscope? Hope it's not a silly question.IP: Logged |

Not silly at all, I am just learning about all this myself so we are learning together about this.. Earth represents our path/journey that leads us to our goal which in esoteric astrology is represented by Saturn. "We can therefore state that Saturn represents our karma (what we need to fulfill) while the Earth indicates the nature of our dharma (the Way we go about fulfilling it)." http://www.alanoken.com/index.php?page=the-earth-and-its-meaning-in-your-horoscope IP: Logged |

My ASC is Scorpio, so my Esoteric ruler is Mars. My Mars is in 10th house Virgo. According to Lynn Koiner, my purpose is to use my internal anger to fight for justice. Since my Mars is in Virgo in 10th, I am passionate about health and suffering, and I am making this my career path. Am I understanding this correctly? As an esoteric ruler, does it just help me navigate my life path? Is there more to understand? If my mars trines my Moon, how do I interpret that? Thanks! IP: Logged |

I found this one system awhile back, while researching the 7 rays.. Where, it used three points in your chart (using esoteric rulerships and a few other things..) where it calculated some kind of significant placement.. I'll try and find it again. However, I barely remember how I found it. But, I do remember that it was actually quite interesting. Ah.. Dang.. This is going to drive me crazy, trying to remember where it is I found it. lol IP: Logged |

If you think about it, normal astrology is what people use who aren't fully awake yet and aren't fully connected to the highest truth. So esoteric astrology would only work for those who are connected to the highest truth of themselves and the universe.

I have to say that the esoteric rulers feel right to me and make more sense to me, they complement nicely the exoteric rulers. Esoteric astrology uses both systems it seems:"This subject of aspect by dispositorship (planetary ruler) is very important to Soul-Centered astrology and needs further discussion. In esoteric astrology, we want to see if a planet is disposited by its esoteric as well as its exoteric or traditional ruler. We are all familiar with these traditional placements (Mars rules Aries, Venus rules Taurus, etc.). I have also given out the signs and their esoteric rulers in pervious articles in this series, but to quickly recapitulate, please note the following relationships: Aries-Mercury, Taurus-Vulcan, Gemini-Venus, Cancer-Neptune, Leo-Sun, Virgo-Moon, Libra-Uranus, Scorpio-Mars, Sagittarius-Earth, Capricorn-Saturn, Aquarius-Jupiter, and Pisces-Pluto." http://www.alanoken.com/index.php?page=soul-centered-astrology-and-your-aspects-part-o ne Should a planet be in simultaneous aspect with both its esoteric and exoteric dispositor, the implications are that there is a very strong link between the Soul and the personality, relative to this planet’s energy and Ray. Thus if Venus were in Aquarius in the natal chart and created a trine to Jupiter as well as a sextile to Uranus, we could say that the potential for Venus to function on both the level of the Soul and the level of the personality and to link these two levels together harmoniously was very evident in the life of the individual in question. ^well my moon is ruled by Neptune (exoteric) and Pluto (esoteric) and my moon forms a golden Yod with PLUTO and squares Neptune conjunct AC-Morpheus-Lachesis which is at the apex of a tsquare with Sun opposite Moon. Further my moon conjuncts Earth widely by less than 7d. Northnode conjunct Varuna squares my Moon opposite mercury too! and my MOON is the bucket handle of my chart bowl as all my planets are in the southern hemisphere pretty much with the moon in the northern hemisphere holding/carrying it all.So yeah my MOON is why I am here, its the key, well to be precise my MOON opposite MERCURY as my mercury is at home (exoteric) but is ruled by the moon in esoteric and my mercury opposes my moon which squares the nodes. Hence my MOON opposite Mercury is were my soul and personality meet. Interesting that if I have my birthtime 100% correct I also have my moon and mercury intercepted. The focus around those two in my natal is insane. IP: Logged |

One final thought for today. For those planets in our natals that aspect both the exoteric and esotoric rulers, in other words the planets in our charts were our personality meets our souls, it must feel great when others activate that planet, it must feel like that person really gets us on a deep soul level as well as our personality and that feeling is awesome. That sounds so bad ass! . Well your mars is ruled by the moon and mercury; does your mars aspect mercury as well by any chance?? Your mars which is your chart ruler aspecting by trine the esoteric ruler of mars is very nice and means that if you chose a career path that is in line with Virgo that you are serving your higher purpose. You should read this: http://graycrawford.net/2013/04/21/isis-archetype-of-love-and-devotion/ What career are you going into? social work? What are your MOON placements?? I can see how Mars in Virgo Trine Moon in Taurus or Capricorn would be great for social work which is about linking the needy and sick to needed resources and advocating for them, basically helping the needy with their basic needs. I could see too how Mars in virgo in the 10th trine MOON could translate to catering or having a home based business. IP: Logged |

Virgo "Exoteric ruler Mercury in Virgo is analytical power. Reasoning is channelled into practical avenues, wherein he learns and then uses that knowledge and the logic he develops for material advantage. Esoteric ruler Moon in Virgo (the Moon is a blind and it is the sign we concentrate on here) inclines to service for good and God. Here is purity of instinct and intellect. As if one were mentally pregnant, he develops an ever-increasing power for thought, and finally Christ consciousness". Hmm...sounds about right..but does this mean I should study Virgo Moons or Cancer Risings??

This makes.. a lot of sense to me. Whenever I do those Pullen charts my moon is on the "weaker" spectrum of my planetary functions, yet it's the planet I have always identified the most with. I have a Virgo rising and I do feel very Mercurial, but I never thought my Mercury was my "defining" planet, you know? I relate to the sign and house it's in, I relate to the aspect it makes, but my moon? Way, way more. The nucleus of my astrological makeup. So this is really interesting, I need to look more into esoteric astrology now that I'm thinking about this. IP: Logged |

Wow. Libra - Uranus. I swear my Uranus is underrated at first glance. Aspecting moon. Conjunct NN. (along with aspecting other outer planets) But then you throw in declinations. Contraparallel Sun and Pluto Parallel North Node (plus the conjunction means these two are really in touch with each other) IP: Logged |

This is true for my Jupiter in Pisces (square Neptune, quinkunx Pluto). It might be the most activated planet in the synastry with P, and especially the opposition to his Mars-Jupiter has always intrigued me. IP: Logged |

My chart ruler is Vulcan."A vital fixed earth sign with solstice point in Leo, the esoteric ruler is Vulcan of beautifying with what is available. First he removes the negativity from his being and sets out to develop his spiritual side. His soul’s purpose is tightly woven to his ability to get along with others. Education and balancing are aspects of his linkage." http://www.mermaid-uk.net/Esotericascendant.htm IP: Logged |
